The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

We don't have to worry about BHVR going under, do we?

As much crap as I give them for being clueless about balancing (never releasing a killer to compete with Nurse/Billy at high ranks, nerfing clearly weak killers, not addressing gen rushing, etc) and taking forever to deliver on their promises (hatch closing, actual punishments for leaving the game, rewards for ranking up, being able to sell back unwanted offerings/addons)...

They seem pretty passionate about their game and it would be sad to see it end any time soon. I think it's no secret that their latest venture, Deathgarden, was a huge flop. After seeing Telltale Games go bankrupt (did NOT see that one coming) I'm a bit paranoid. DBD is constantly being updated (albeit slowly), I'm just curious if this game is actually sustainable.

Much like Jesus, microtransactions are The Way.

  • With the amount they charge for a half decent skin I highly doubt it :chuffed:

I don't think so but the expression 'all their eggs are in one basket' comes to mind.
If someone released a superior alternative to DbD that could really hurt them.

Yeah, the skins are a tad to expensive. If the new Trapper skin would cost 5$, i would´ve already purchased it. But 10$?

Unless the Bethesda lawsuit is completed unusually quickly we got a few years. It looks pretty sketchy though when the exact same bugs were in BHVRs code.

Could you tell me more about that lawsuit? Who is sueing who and why and are there any credits to what ever claim is being made?

It sound quite bad for BHVR if you watch whole thing but I'm no lawyer

  • BHVR is a huge company that has their hands in tons of games. They’re fine.

@Might_Oakk , Yeah, on paper, or rather video, if the information he revealed is accurate, Behavior is just a bit screwed on that lawsuit. I wouldn't be surprised if it is eventually settled out of court and sealed.

As far as PUBG suing Epic over Fortnite, I wish them luck. But hey, if that works out, maybe Valve will sue Blizzard over the TF2 elements they took inspiration from for Overwatch. There no love lost between Valve and Blizzard to begin with.
