The dumb Outfit "Sets"
I thought that the outfit sets were only there for the silent hill cosmetic, but now there are even more of them. It so dumb that you cant combine parts different cosmetics. It makes 0 sense. I wanted to buy the clown skin cuz of the belly haha but now i wont cuz i have to be in the set the whole time. Who actually thought of this, and who actually agreed. It just loses them money

I personally like them. I like the ability to get new cosmetics that are otherwise near impossible to split into three bits. I want to see the devs add more creative sets, and preferably sets of 2 that can have a third customized, but still it is interesting to see. You aren't obligated to buy them.

Yeah i did see the other posts, but it doesnt hurt to start another one. If there are more posts about it, it has a higher chance of getting noticed.

I disagree, it is very much possible to split the cosmetics which are in the game right now.

Some people actually like the sets (I'm one of them). If you don't like them, just don't buy them. They are not only going to be releasing sets now so calm down.

No im fine with not buying them, but they just released like 8 new outfit sets. Are you sure they will stop releasing them? Did they state it somewhere?

They aren’t going to stop releasing them but they will ALSO still give mix & match cosmetics.

Ok so most of the sets are sets for a good reason. The Clown's outfit IS a set because the neck is connecting the head and the torso, so if you were able to mix and match this outfit, it would probably not look ok and the cosmetics will not be clipped the right way. It's ok to be vocal, but about the things that are considered a downgrade. This outfit doesn't hurt you or help you in any way so you are free to feel however you want, but I gotta say it: People complaining about sets annoy me more than the sets themselves. (No offense)

Personally I'm not bothered about certain outfits being linked. Clown's skin and Nea's Graff-Crafter already look great as sets so I wouldn't mix and match them anyways. If linked outfits allow for more creativity then I'm all for it.

But nothing even needs to be changed if you don’t have the money or want to buy them don’t buy them they are linked because otherwise clipping issues will occur and I’d rather see a linked outfit that doesn’t clip weird then see like the neas were doing have a bald head with other cosmetics

But what is the point? It’s just as simple as if you don’t like it don’t buy it they are a company this is kinda what they do to get money plus if they weren’t linked you would see as we saw bald neas running around with crap looking separate pieces

Newbie here. So what determines a "set" that you wont be able to mix and match? Are sets only able to be bought using cells and cannot be bought with free shards? I've seen this topic but still a bit lost. Can some please explain? Thanks!

Even if it’s flesh connecting at the neck, you can still create a seam in whatever 3D program it was made. It’s basically just texture work.
The issue I feel is, time. They would rather link these outfits than have to do the extra rigging work. Because you have to figure the head has to fit every other Clown torso perfectly.

How about you screenshot that from the back 😂 they said it’s to stop weird visuals and clipping issues as you would see from the back screenshot but the whole point is if you don’t like it don’t buy it then I’ll buy link and legendary sets and so will others so that’s not gonna make them stop anytime soon if they make money

What clipping, exactly? I can make outfits that actually clip with unlinked outfits. Bunny Feng looks really dumb separate and can clip horribly, but the option still exists

same for the last point - people complain about the fact that the oni skin is a set, but in what would would it work if it wasn't a set? his skin colour is completely changed, his head size changes, and more. I can understand people saying that the sword should be interchangeable tho.

Jane is so beautiful, I only wanted her head, but the whole set without a chance to customize? I ain't buying any sheet. These linked sets are unfair and should have died right after were born in Silent Hill Chapter. This is the true.

But how do we know that the sword has the same model as any other weapon Oni has? Maybe it has a different measure because the minotaur's hand that holds the sword could be different from Oni's. And even if you could use the sword with any other cosmetic, are these 1000 posts complaining about this feature worth it? Only for a Weapon/Head(on the survivor side) in plus?

They released 8 new sets?
So far in the game we have
-Lisa
-Alessa
-Alessa (Alt)
-Pyramid Head
-Nea's hoodied cosmetic
-Clown's Greek cosmetic
-Oni's minotaur.
The next planned set is Jane's Greek outfit.
Combining these all we have 8 in total (including Jane).

Not being able to at least use the head and weapons are ridiculous. Neas head worked fine with the other cosmetics and I'm sure Jane's would too.

Nonono, NOBODY has been complaining about Minotaur being a SET.
The general, main and ONLY complaint was that this "legendary" provides NO changes to the character apart from model and is just an overpriced purple skin. Even LISA GARLAND had a unique animation, while a GREEK BEAST uses JAPANESE kanabo, performs KAZAN'S SIGNATURE killing move and completely MIMICS HIS SWORD TECHNICUE.
