Killer Lock Does not Make Sense (if MMR is adjusted correctly)
After getting a bit annoyed last night about having my killer locked out while searching for a match, I thought about the ramifications of keeping the killer selection unlocked, while still implementing individual killer MMRs (an excellent addition to DBD, imo). I came to the conclusion that there really should be no reason to lock the killer during the search process, assuming the killer's MMR is changed appropriately. Lets take the following example:
Ex: Lets say I have a "high" MMR with Hag, and a "low" MMR with Pig. Queuing with Hag, would match me against high MMR survivors; queuing with Pig would get me low MMR survivors (system is working as intended). Now say I queued as Pig, and then saw the team/looked at profiles for SWF/saw lots of items and swapped to Hag. Theoretically, since these are low MMR players vsing my high MMR killer, I would sweep the floor with them. Ok, that sucks for them for that match, but what would actually happen to our respective ratings as a result of the match? The survivors played against an MMR that was higher than expected, and thus would lose little to no MMR rating as a result. As for my MMR, I would assume my MMR would get adjusted for both Hag and Pig. My Hag rating would go up very little (or not at all) since I won an easy match against them, but my Pig rating would also go up (likely a lot). This ends up being a determent to me because if my Pig rating goes up too much, it becomes artificially higher than it should; and thus when I want to actually play as Pig, I'll be matched against teams that are better than my actual Pig rank should be.
Conclusion: Swapping Killers to noobstomp lower MMR teams will inflate your MMR and quickly put you against teams that you likely won't be able to handle, and thus screw you in the long run.
Also, before someone brings up "throwing" games to deflate their MMR on purpose, this is a problem regardless of the killer being able to swap, and should hopefully be combated by BHVR's systems to detect such behavior.
Hope I expressed this in a way that makes sense. Thoughts?

Killer lock is the best way for individual mmr and not changing. The devs do not want try hards facing new survivors lol

Honestly it works better when you consider that not everyone is not familiar with every killer.
Rank 1 Billy might be fun and all, but that same player could struggle immensely with an unfamiliar killer, and being placed in cutthroat ranks in an unlocked MMR has a far greater negative effect than the new locked MMR .
It is an improvement, but not totally up to snuff.
