The Gen Tapping with Ruin must be FIXED!
Since people have discovered the repair with ruin to touch is an exploit that the developers do not correct ... but if they correct when the clown is "glitch" when you use VHS and go very fast ...
The Tapping Gene should be fixed because it's a pity the Ruin perk that is counter with just taps. Regrettable.

Gen Tapping takes a very long time to fix a gen, if people are doing it solo. And at high ranks, I hardly see anyone do it. It's way easier to hit the skill checks. Lol.9

Gen tapping isn't a glitch, it's intentional.
Please, cry somewhere else.
The bias is showing with everyone that is comparing a game breaking bug like giving clown insane speed to tapping a gen which doesn't exactly auto complete it.

The ds drop must be fixed as well2

Yes, and #3 It's not an exploit either. XD4

If you come that way, do not comment, I'm giving my reason. Okay?

Your reason is you want killers to be exploitable because a perk is avoidable, good fight mate, nice bias.

Because Gen tapping delays the generator progress, ergo Ruin is doing it's job - there is no issue here.

THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT CONSIDERED BANNABLE OFFENSES - PLEASE DO NOT REPORT
* Camping
* Slugging
* Tunneling
* Streamsniping
* Teabagging
* Bodyblocking
* Looping
* ----->Tapping generators with ruin<-----
* Dribbling (Dropping a survivor repeatedly to avoid decisive strike)
there you go, now you can go back to find new ways to victimize your lack of killer skills4 -
If dribbling is allowed then gentapping is as well.

Well - they’re not really fixing it, they’re changing the perk entirely. Another nerf for survivors.Th3Nightmare said:@xChrisx said:

There is already a thread on this exact topic: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/22269/the-hypocrisy-of-dbd-devs/p1
Can we get this thread locked as it's a duplicate?

Tapping the gen takes longer than actually working through the ruin.
They also said as long as killers can dribble ds, survivors can tap ruin.1 -

Teabagging and sniping are both reportable and depending on your platform it matters. There's no reason to have "unsportsmanlike" as an option. Sniping is the definition of cheating.

They also said as long as killers can dribble ds, survivors can tap ruin.It 100% does not. The 5% regression per non hex skill check adds up more than the .001 second you lose every time you stop.

Maybe if you get a sh*t ton of skillchecks. It's also not that hard to hit the great skillchecks, if it is for you i'd suggest practicing in kyf and maybe have them bring unnerving.

The one example I could find where gen tapping was done took 1 minute 40 seconds to do. Keeping in mind it takes 1 minute and 20 seconds to do a gen, the process takes 20 seconds longer than a normal generator. If you don't think that's much, I would like to remind you that there's 5 generators in the game. That means survivors will have to do the equivalent of 1.2 extra gens worth of time to complete. Ergo, the perk is still doing it's intended job of giving the killer more time.

Someone has to cry about something. Gen tapping, gen rushing, camping not rewarded enough. Same ######### different day op needs to play something else.SenzuDuck said:Gen tapping isn't a glitch, it's intentional.

If it benefits survivors it's a feature. You've gotta get on board with that, dude.Wait what, how does gen tapping benefit survivors again? Since it takes longer to do a gen which is what killers have been asking forever for. So you want more gen rush then and don't punish gen tappers by going after them.

Someone ran an experiment of Gen Tapping vs. just repairing through Good skill checks.
It was, like, 6-7 Goods is a few seconds faster than Gen Tapping all the way, iirc. If survivors are Gen Tapping, Ruin is still doing its job by greatly slowing down repairs. This is made even more potent if not every survivor is even repairing, and they're stuck looking around for Ruin. And that further helps the killer if you catch someone that has dedicated themselves to finding Ruin instead.
Personally, I rarely look very hard for Ruin and just power through the first 1-2 generators I see.

I'd rather have them fix totems

It is a strategy just like face camping0
