The Lag Issues on Console
Anyone else's console lagging to hell and back when ANYTHING happens? It can't be my console either because it only lags this bad for dbd.
Literally all day today as Deathslinger I lag when I ADS, not by much, but enough to ######### up my shots.
Everything that causes lag for me:
Gens popping, Survivors using dead hard, bloodlust activating, chase starting, chase ending, survivors fast vaulting, ADS on Deathslinger, survivors getting picked up by others, survivors getting hooked, the "place portal" prompt on Demo bugging out when walking in specific areas, Myers tier up, Static Blast finishing it's recharge, etc, etc.
@not_Queen is there any plans at all to fix the lagging issue on console? Because it get's to the point where it is borderline unplayable at times.

I lag 99% of the time when I hit blood lust 1, on PS4. As survivor today I was getting hit from far away and would lag when a gen would pop. I understand your frustrations. I haven't played bas killer today to see what's up on the opposite side.

They fixed it a little when doc was reworked but since then it's consistently been getting worse.
It's almost like the game can't process the actions of 5 players simultaneously doing stuff. I don't really get it myself, my teammates could be crouching in a bush and I'll still end up rubberbanding everywhere or just freezing in place every couple of matches.

It’s not like internet lag or anything, it’s more like something is wrong with the game type of lag. I had trouble with ghostface earlier because when I walk by walls in stealth the lean prompt would flicker off and on lagging my ps4.
How the hell can something that can be described as a png lag my $400 console to hell?

It feels weird atm. I've noticed that whenever end game collapse happens, sometimes it feels like the server is hitting the fan and causes you to jump lag everywhere. I've forgotten the term lol

I get it that when I get hit by a killer with Sloppy, that the game will drop frames for a second so I can't do anything and when that dropped frames period ends I have lost the majority of my speed boost from getting hit and the killer is almost on top of me again.
Basically anything that applies a status effect (that includes bloodlust as a killer) seems to result in dropped frames.

I remember yesterday something which kept driving me up the wall was randomly stopping in place not being able to move for half a second and facing a slightly different direction as Deathslinger, very annoying.

There has been a bit of juddering with Death-Slinger, yes.

It seems very desynchronized since the latest chapter. Noticed an icon on top left of the screen. I’m assuming it a ping indicator. Likely from higher than average player volume at the moment.
First time ever where survivor queue was almost instant and had to wait as killer. Never have to wait to play killer on console in my experience but opposite with survivor.

I'll say it again, gameplay goes through dedicated servers which is why they showed us the automated hit/dressing of survivor view and killer view... to summarise it doesn't need to go through the servers, keep the lobbies, stats, anti cheat etc, just got the game play point it computer to computer! Simples... unless you are recoding it

Finally someone talks about it, I’ll be playing the game and whenever I’m about to get a skill check it suddenly lags and makes it 10x harder for me to actually hit them, whenever I get hit by the killer frames drop, and I know it’s not bad WiFi or anything because it’s only DBD.

I notice that every time a notification pops up (bloodlust, a perk being revealed, etc.) there is a bit of a frame drop.
Chances are if ya don't see the high ping indicator in the top left it isn't lag, but frame drops.
Could be wrong tho.

For me my game completely freezes for a second runs fine then about 5 seconds later it Stutters again

On PS4 it happens to me. As killer when I hit different stages of bloodlust, revealed as Ghostface, entering different tiers as Mikey. As survivor if another survivor is hooked, randomly during chase, when entering Freddy dream world, when marked by Ghostface, when exposed status pops up. I originally thought maybe my internet was acting up but then noticed it was specific times it happens.
