Is Matchmaking Broken Again? 16 vs 1,1,2,5
I waited 8 + minutes to try and get a lobby as a killer. Switched to survivor and waited 8 minutes to get a match.
I could tell it was a low rank killer, he got one hook the whole match. We all escape he’s a rank 16 while I am a 2 and the ransoms are a 1,2 and 5. The match lasted almost as long as my wait time.
Anyone else experiencing these weird long wait times? It was so much better before the update.

I was linked to a post saying ranks don't matter at all and we may see larger disparities in ranks. Which is awful for the ends who face each other a 20 against red Ranks.
How is the queue time longer? If we are being matched with more people?

Wait times aren't too bad for me, I just need to know which side to play when. For example from like 9pm-12am killers are instant whilst 12am-4am survivors are instant.
Matchmaking has always been #########.

The whole point of the MMR is to be an accurate depiction of skill, as opposed to the ranking system, which mostly depicts play time.
I took a long break from this game some time ago and wound up back in rank 20, despite my many hours of experience. According to you, I should've been matched with rank 20 killers, as opposed to people who are closer to my skill level, because I was also rank 20, even though I was only rank 20 to begin with because I stopped playing.
If the MMR performs as advertised, rank will be irrelevant for matchmaking. That's to be celebrated, not complained about.

Honest question, not coming at you: have you recently DC'd a recent amount? I came across this guy who was bragging about how he DCs when a killer has a mori. He was rank 20. But always goes against red rank killers now. Makes me wonder.

No, I really despise dc'ing. I think I've done it once so a survivor could get the hatch quickly haha but that's about it.

Then let's just assume you are really good at the game or got really unlucky in that match.
...or that matchmaking is a joke.

Ok sorry I didn't phrase it completely right. Newer players or players who are what everyone thinks rank 20 players are, based on skill, going up against red rank survivors who play every day. That type of situation. That's what I'm worried about. We are in the same boat buddy.
I am excited for the mmr thing when it works. But going up against New killers etc. Is not something that I wanna see. That's not fun.
