Let's be honest, DBD is a broken unbalanced mess.
Am I the only one who feels like the game is still in beta or early access? The game is filled with bugs and the matchmaking system is a sick joke, my friend is a Rank 17 Killer and he gets demolished by Rank 1 survivors 3 or 4 times in a row, I feel bad because I recommended him to get the bloody game.
Survivors are way stronger than Killers and it's not even scary to play Survivor anymore because pos won't stop whining "kIlLeRs Op" and the devs only listens to them because they're the majority.
Right now the game is literally #########' unplayable with the barely visible auras and the bad framerates but who cares if we're not having a good time right? But new skins, buy the new skins! Yuh-huh🤪
BTW I wanted to pick up Trapper recently since I like playing trap killers like Hag and Freddy but the poor bastard can only have one bear trap by default and has to crawl across the map to collect traps while survivors are completing gens under 1 minute, just give him 3 traps by default plus 2 with add-ons, traps are not one hit downs and are so easily seen.
Might as well remove the killers if survivors is going to be the only fun side to play and actually win. The 1v4 horror genre is on the rise, DBD won't stay on top for long if it refuses to get better.

Lol... Survivors have been consistently nerfed for over a year now.. But oh no a killer nerf here and there is bullshit right? I play almost every single killer (rank 3 currently) and rarely struggle to kill 2 or 3 (always spare the 4th). Trapper is a killer that definitely needs buffs as he is lacking but even with him i get a few kills a match. Most of the killers are definitely strong enough in good hands and sure try hard swf teams exist so sometimes you'll lose but you don't deserve to win every match anyways. No one does.

I think dbd will stay on top until an actual 1v4 horror competitor comes out.
As for balance, from a red rank's prospective, I think a few weaker kills need some tweaks here and there. If you ask me the perfect example of a balanced killer and not irritating to go against is The Oni.
Trapper, Clown, and legion all need significant adjustments in their current state.
The Wraith, demoboy, Plague, and mikey need minor tweaks and they'll be good to go.

I agree with everything here besides "the devs only listen to survivors" argument. There was a huge map rework a few months back, Freddy was reworked and became one of the strongest killers, Doc was also reworked and became much stronger, and as of recent Bubba has been reworked to become stronger.
But yeah, the amount of new bugs that appear every update is ridiculous. Billy and Bubba get reworked? Suddenly Plague's puke comes out of her forehead. Many people are for the idea of them skipping a chapter and focusing on fixing bugs but of course that won't happen and we'll likely just receive another mediocre killer who isn't seen much after the first week of release and maybe one or two useful perks whilst the other 3-4 are memey/useless and just add to the grind of the game.
