What is the most frustating role? SWF, killer or Solo Q?

My frustration list beginning with the most frustating role in dbd:

Solo Q > Killer > SWF

Btw this here is a glimpse of all the bullshit happening in solo Q on a regular basis for those who don't play much survivor:

None because I enjoy them all.

Except SWF. I don't play SWF.

I'm mixed between SoloQ survivor and Killer against SWF.

    Both can have infuriating scenarios.

I enjoy killer, because I stay at lower ranks on purpose.

I enjoy Solo survivor, but it's frustrating some times.

And SWF, the rare times I go with a SWF we just dominate, it's fun too.

I guess Solo queue, if I had to choose.

Too bad staying at lower ranks you are still facing rank 1 survivor SWF groups.

    You're absolutely right, and I don't mind.

    It's usually a Rank 17, with a Rank 8, a 4 and a 1.

That seems balanced in my opinion.

Killer with solo q as a close second. I don't know why you put SWF there when it's the easiest experience in the game, absolutely no stress. Even in a 2 man I escape maybe 80% of my games cause of the information you get just with one other person.

It's insane how after 4 years willingly playing killer or solo surv is basically shooting yourself in the foot. And some people say it's balanced and there's no issue with it.

Killer is the most stressful role. If you are being competitive, which is not what the studio intended.

Example of solo queue for the past 5 games today.

get chased for three minutes, no gens done.

blast through three gens after unhook

finally all gens done, run to the door, Meg (fing megs!) brings the killer right to me, even though only one bulb on the door is lit. Die in no mans land because team camped pallets. Die as the rest of the team opens gate, heals, then leaves even though I’m still in struggle. All day.

My SWF suck so depending on who I'm getting paired with for Solo it can actually be way more frustrating if I play SWF. 😂 Killer I don't find frustrating because it's not like I have a Teammate that can screw me over, my loss is entirely on me.

Yeah Solo Queue is the worst experience in the game. If killer had one bad game vs swf, the next 20 games against solos he will be playing the most toxic and scummy way to make sure the survivors suffer.

solo queue means you are facing toxic killers, bad teammates, and the server itself.

imo solo is without a doubt the worst experience. i hate it.

funnily enough then id say swf. everyone seems to assume were trying to sweat our balls off when im out here talking about wheatabix whilst running away from a stridor ebony noed spirit.

after that would be killer, the one (still) fun role for me/

I enjoy solo q for the most part.

Swf well it's the most chill games I've ever had.

Killer the higher ranks you get the more likely you are to be stressed.

Solo survivor and killer both have their ups and downs, reasons that make them fun and reasons that make them infuriating. Though I would say generally speaking solo survivor is probably the most difficult role, simply because you're heavily reliant on teammates that aren't dumb.

Much of the power of survivors is strength in numbers, even if you have a god looper team if the other three are super timid and slow to move or act the whole game can fall to shambles. As a solo Q and with absolutely no power over matchmaking (which is still ######### by the way) this is completely and entirely outside of your control.

I remember just a few days ago I was in solo Q and we put up a valiant fight I think eventually getting 4 gens done (but by this point when the 4th gen popped it was just the last person left in the match) but were completely overpowered by this god spirit (which, many will say doesn't take that much skill because there isn't really counterplay outside of iron will yadda yadda yadda but that's a different story) and we all died. In post-game chat I was like "I'd need to be in a 4-man to be able to deal with a spirit like that" and the others in the match readily agreed. Which in the moment I thought was actually pretty funny

Whereas killer has its own frustrations, there's a lot more individual power and control you have in that role and the mistakes your "team" makes are 100% your own. In this way you can continue to learn, grow, and get better- up to a point, because survivors with equal experience, skill, and knowledge are naturally stronger. However you have the choice as killer to learn anyone that has a reputation for being strong, Huntress, Oni, Hillbilly (still strong btw, nerf after the PTB was honestly not that bad), Nurse, etc. and in most instances you can hold your own even against an SWF- again, up to a point.

I dunno. Just some thoughts about the topic. It is what it is.

I think the fact that, as killer, you stay at low ranks on purpose says a lot.

I don't enjoy swf with mics at all, so I'd say that as I just pretend I like it I guess. As for without them, it's fair game I guess.

SoloQ is like that group school project and you got stuck with while working with people you don’t particularly have faith in.

I feel like on a bad day solo queue and killer can amplify the frustration you can feel from each. You get stomped in solo queue because no one will do generators, so you pop over to killer and the first gen is done before you could've even reached it, everyone is split up, and suddenly everyone knows how to loop. So you go back to solo and you've got potatoes growing in the tall grass while your 1-3 minute loop results in nothing done and for some reason the whole team comes to unhook you and even more confusing, 2 of them go down and the killer is so swarmed with bodies he can't even reach enough hooks. Then you go back on killer and you got teabagging loopers meme-ing as hard as they can and you just wonder what on earth is going on.

But it's not all losses, of course, you'll end up winning a fair amount of your games. Unfortunately a lot of those wins on both sides will be because the opponents are just of a completely lower skill level, so they never stood a chance, so then your win was boring and you kind of feel bad for stomping them.

It's all worth it, though, for those rare-but-not-too-rare matches where you might win or you might lose, but you're totally focused and having fun the entire time.

Personally I would say from most to least stressful

Solo Q with inexperienced teammates - Killer - Solo Q with decent to good teammates - SWF

The reason for this may be that I am more on the competitive side when playing killer, but when I play survivor I am more on the laid back side, unless my teammates DC/Suicide or sandbag on purpose.

Solo survivor is the most frustrating, as bad teammates are out of your control.

Killer is easily more stressful however.

Both solo and killer are frustrating but if I were to pick one I'd be killer

Killer when you are facing high ranks easily. Solo survivor can also be annoying, also it always feels bad even when I'm running kindred that my team still lets me get to second stage (yes I know the auras currently aren't helping that).

I love playing killer BUT (the wait times are HORRIBLE) I get impatient when it comes to "killing" only thing really irritating about Killer is end game chat with with salty snowflakes. Solo Q gets on the fence at times because you know YOU can be the one that is 4 VS 1 (as in you) instead of 4 vs 1 (the killer) because you wound up in a lobby that is SWF. NOW I have a group where I do SWF...it is very very irritating at times. I have found out that I do not survive when I play SWF. It's more distracting than anything.

    Most frustrating: soloq>killer> SWF

Most stressful: killer> soloq > SWF

Most likely to cause insanity: soloq>killer> SWF

    Most tiring: killer> soloq> SWF

Most toxicity directed at: killer > Soloq> SWF

    Most toxic: Soloq=killer =SWF

Solo Que with teammates who stealth and do no gens. Closest to me wanting to DC. I rather have a mori-hungry Spirit with Stridor on me than be with a group doing nothing while I'm being chased for 4 minutes and no gens even being touched.

Generally if I looped the killer for a long time, I'm satisfied. Same with killer, if the survivors aren't being toxic and I broke even with a 2k, I'm not very frustrated.

Depends the skill level of your teammates so if matchmaking works fine.

Lower ranks: solo -> killer -> swf

More skilled survivor ranks: killer-> solo->swf
