So, if we play a killer we don't play often...
Are we gonna get baby survivors and just demolish them?

In theory...yes.

While in theory this means that you can play a killer you have less experience with against lower skill opponents, i have a feeling some people are going to find a way to manipulate the system so that their mains can get easy games

In the first few games, maybe yeah.

having played with it on xbox for a couple of weeks I think that there is some carry over MMR stats between the killers, because even though I am playing a rarely touched killer I'm still getting at least mid to low level survivors, but I'm seeing decently high ranks on killers I play more frequently, so I don't think you're going to be (for example) playing nothing but rank 20s when a new killer releases. It would make sense to have something like "how long does it take you to initiate chase with a survivor once you are within 10m of them", "how many times do you miss with a basic attack" type stuff as a killer base, since there are things like that which could be considered universal

They said that you don’t start at zero with a new/not played killer but you get a score averaged out of your actually played killers.

It's time for adept i guess..

Welp on paper sounds good... I can't wait to use the nurse at low ranks instead of against high ranks (i don't play nurse because i don't like her sistem okay? Don't blame me)

Thats what I was thinking as well. 90% of the killers I have i never play outside a random daily, and even then I usually farm for fun. But now... In theory I'll be likely to waffle stomp some newbies and ruin their game experience :D NEAT!

You'd think this was the case, but it seems not. I've never touched Nurse and tried her for a few matches to get the hang of her and it was a complete wreck. I mean, I was garbage for sure, but these survivors knew perfect loops, Gen locations, all totem spots. So if it is using an 'average' of all our other killers to start with, that kind of defeats the purpose of the killer side of the MM

"First match" no, this goes on for a while. Just watch otz's stream right now. A guy who is a great killer, plays often enough for an MMR system to work on him (in theory at least), and has thousands of hours is getting matched against baby survivors.
This lasts much longer than the first match

I can't play killer, it's happening rarely, but just because of long (20 minutes) wait for lobby

Oh Lawd forgive me for what I'm about to do to these survivors.

I just bought Deathslinger, tried playing him without levelling up. First game against a swf of red and purple ranks

Played Nurse after a long time, vs. Rank 1, Rank 2, Rank 13, Rank 15 - 3k
Played Legion after 1 day, Rank 7, Rank 15, Rank 16, Rank 20 - 4k
yep, great system

Im not complaining I'm enjoying these easy/casual killer matches while I still can okay. It's a blast, haha.

Only if you didn't play any killer at all. There are general skills that apply to all killers, so you won't be matched with someone who tries to gen tap to avoid skill checks or whatever.

Pretty much. This might be a problem cause even though this means the player doesn’t exactly know how to use the killer’s power to their full potential, they are probably gonna know how to shut down loops and do basic mindgames that baby survivors won’t know about

It sounds like you'd be going up against new Survivors. As a trophy hunter, I don't mind this because it means I don't have to sweat my balls off to double pip against red rank Survivors with only three perks for the Killer Adepts.
