Yet another matchmaking thread
Just finished this game, and fairness aside (which obviously this one wasn't), the new MMR system obviously isn't working as intended. Despite getting three kills against these red ranks (I let the last guy go because I'm nice like that), I only got one tick higher in rank 10. After killing two red ranks and a purple rank, it still wasn't considered enough to rank up two ticks? I just don't see how this system is intended to work. I'm typically put against red rank survivors, yet I'm stuck in green rank.

You won so your skill must be higher than your original rank put you as. MMR, Bud. It knows unless you purposely lose/DC to lower it to make a statement then all you're doing is creating the problem. Be proud. You did good in that match and showed skill to win.

I understand I did well and I'm sure my MMR is higher. The problem is that the in-game metrics don't account for the job I did in the match. I was able to get a three kill against people many ranks higher than me, yet the in-game model still shows that I only did slightly better than them.

Then the matchmaking "fix" they just rolled out should have addressed that. I don't understand how you're trying to defend a busted system that you even just admitted is busted. (Also I can see you're upvoting your own comments bud lol)

They will be changing that soon. They already stated it. You did very well. MMR is about skill, not play time. Don't sell your skill short.
1000% agree on that. That's the issue. People could do small stuff and rank up by being selfish and useless. It's gotten really bad over the past year and a half. It's nice seeing a change in power.

tbf... you don't know how much this match affected your mmr. it could have been a drastic increase
