For the record I'm glad the new MMR is up and running, but...

...the killers in my games (on PS4) are either rank ones or new players. For example I just finished a game where there was a rank 17 Wraith with one perk, and they camped each hook they made while being cloaked. The rank one killer prior to that game however absolutely dominated because some of the survivors were clearly newer players as indicated by the perks they had available.

I realize it's going to take time to adjust everything accordingly, but right now you're either getting potatoes for survivors or potatoes for killers. Nothing seems to be balanced atm. I know ranks don't mean anything, but I think we can all agree that a rank 1 killer is clearly more experienced than a rank 17 survivor with two level one perks to their name.

I feel your pain. I'm a rank 4 and I've had rank 1 killers all day today that have absolutely decimated our team of newer players. Even worse we're barely walking away with more than 10,000 BP.

I have had the same problem and been playing a ton. I have been doing survivor because I tried a few rounds as killer and got survivors who pretty much used me to get free points because they knew they could outplay me.

Then I play survivor and I am not horrible but not great. I would say I am an average player who has those great plays or some oops I am dumb moments.

The problem I am seeing is this MMR system ranks EACH KILLER and not the PLAYER. This means yes the killer is a Rank 1 player, which now mean nothing from what the article says, but they have never used DeathSlinger so the MMR on this killer for them is 0. Then when this Rank 1 player picks DeathSlinger they get matched with fellow survivors of the same MMR rank which can be low knowledge to no knowledge new players.

They need to put the players OVERALL knowledge into the game and yes that Rank 1 player may never has used Freddy but they know how to play the game better than I do with all my perks. I have had 5 games with Rank 1 killers who stomp us so hard because I have to keep babysitting these new Rank 20 players and I manage to maybe get one gen done and the game is over.

The best part is there is no way these killers can't tell they are playing new palyers based on the way they play and yet they still try so hard and even tunnel. I may actually take a break from the game for a bit and let this system move the higher rank players up like it says it is suppose to.

Goodluck to you both and I hope you have better luck. =)

I play the game casually myself, and for the most part playing as Killer has been mostly positive. I just need to be paired up with either more experienced teammates, or less experienced killers when playing as survivor.

I used a killer I am normally good with and only killed one and could not down anyone else. I was like ######### and so tried a brand new killer to me and was even worst. I was like well time to take a break and wait for this to balance out maybe. lol

On survivor side I agree I need to paired up with players around my skill or better but currently I am getting matches like this and yes I am Rank 13 but I depiped because I babysat so much I could not get enough points.

Working as intended. Clearly that Rank 1 players MMR is close in ranking to the brand new Rank 20s duh.

Rofl I hope you were kidding but yeah clearly that rank 1 is just as bad as someone that bought the game. rofl

I do not understand this matchmaking currently and I am depipping like crazy because I cannot do anything but try to save these poor new players and have no time for gens or anything. The funniest part is these Rank 1 killers also camp and tunnel which made me laugh. I would try to go save the new player and bam killer is camping just far enough so kindred did not see but standing there watching us. That was when I decided time to take a break and play other non broken games. =)

Oh my God, you're so new. =/

I'm sorry you went through that hell.

And that picture should not exist, a new player should never even see a Red Rank until much, much later in their game play.

I mean I was not upset for myself but the poor Rank 20's. I died trying to save them off the hook. I only had enough time to get one gen done but with this new match system I have lost ranks because I literally spend my entire time unhooking low ranks from high rank killers. Then I get hooked once and die because the new players are scared to come out.

The weird part is the high rank players in these matches actually camp and tunnel still. I unhooked one new player and even ran in front of the killer and they still ignored me. I am just gonna take a break and let the system hopefully put these new very experienced players where they should be.

My worry is the new incoming players who play these matches and think damn this game is to tough or unfun and I am seeing many new players coming in. No joke when I checked the time played on those two Rank 20's the one was just started playing 2 hours ago and the other was 2 days ago.

I have hopes for this new system but if they are gonna count MMR for EACH INDIVIDUAL killer than every time a Rank 1 picks a never played or little to no played killer they may get matched with new incoming players who have the same equal MMR and even less overall experience to the game giving the high rank killer a headstart with their game play knowledge.

The big Glaring issue I see is we are only looking at a killers experience and knowledge with a killer and not looking at their OVERALL knowledge of the game. I mean even if the killer is new to the player if the player has knowledge of how to win chases and best perks to use together than they already have a head start against a new survivor player.

Goodluck to you and thanks for your kind words and hope the game goes well for you and everyone here. =)

Finished a match right now against a rank 2 clown. My team mates (all of them Nea) were obviously new and getting downed within seconds. I'd rescue them all the time, got into so many chases that lasted like 5 minutes against the clown and they weren't doing gens. Just urban evading around the map the entire match. I tried to do gens, but I'd have to go rescue them or the clown would go towards me to use PGWT. it's so obvious they are new survivors and the clown was tunneling them off the hook every single time despite me having BT. whenever I play killer and notice that the survivors I'm facing are noobs, I am not going to go super try hard against them. Why would I? They're brand new and going super try hard will ruin their experience. It's the same when I play survivor too. Sometimes I'll face off against a rank 20 killer with 1 perk and it's OBVIOUS the killer is new, but he's facing a lobby of nothing but red ranks who play toxic and take advantage that he's a brand new killer.

Both sides need to seriously chill.

Yeah at this point I feel like the only people gaining from this is high rank killer mains getting those easy blood points by farming us once again low level players. I mean that rank 1 in your game and mine had such an easy time they certainly got more points than any killer gets normally.

I have decided a break is needed in this game and me and my friends have decided to play a few different other games for now until this one is well I guess balanced again.
