10 matches later on doctor, theres no difference! im still fighting people who are higher than me. 'but rank has no meaning anymore!' ok, put a new rank 20 against a red rank 1. if rank doesnt mean ANYTHING, then that means they both have a 50/50 of winning! but surprise surprise, someone with thousands of hours can cream someone who plays casually. i thought matchmaking was supposed to stop this? well great job, the update has done nothing.

If it can reassure you, it could happen even before the mmr system got introduced, I want to remember to everyone that matchmaking was crap before too.

But thats not the point is it. The whole point of MMR was to FIX the broken MM system and stop this crap from happening. Yet I still get matches of Red rank SWF teams all running flashlights and denying any hooks that apparntly match my MMR level? Yeah, don't reckon so.

I've done about 30 matches and absolutely nothing has changed. Still going up against red ranks with enough hours to loop a killer all match long.

once again, the devs have made an update that has done nothing, and not done what its promised. first i was against rank 20 survivors, then for like 1 match i was with people my level and now? red ranks.

this is cerantly some failure, low rank killers complain about redrank survs and redrank killers about 20 rang survs. And in addition to rank there are absolutly unbalanced games, killer and survs are absolutly out of touch in terms of skill. The system is a mess.

It happened to me too on the survivor side. I stay about rank 10 as a survivor. My first 10 matches in the MMR system were all against rank 15 to 20 killers. I did well in those matches. Ever since then every match has been against killers between ranks 1 and 5.
I know it's not supposed to be about the rank, but I got put up against people fairly new to the game my first 10 matches. Doing well against them apparently meant I'm a top tier survivor and now that's how the MMR places me every single match.

its almost like the system puts you against super low rank survivors to inflate your MMR so it can justify its ######### matchmaking

No, when people say rank doesn't mean anything, they mean it literally doesn't mean anything. It is not factored into matchmaking. Only MMR rating is. And proper MMR functionality requires everyone to have their 10 games played, not just one person. Until there's a baseline score established over a majority of players, there's gonna be a lot of system-testing-the-water games.
My matches have been getting progressively better and better the more I play. It started out completely wild and felt absolutely random, but I'm getting put against people that seem to be about my relative skill level now. Still not perfect (dunno if it'll ever be, MMR in a game like this is bound to be kinda wonky) but it's starting to feel noticeably better than the old system, at least once I stopped being matched with 20s and 1s.

give them like a year and we will see a minor bugfix that will break the game further. doesn't surprise me that devs are silent right now with this issue, but will launch onto someone immediately if they make a post saying how bad the devs are.

"It has been mentioned before that MMR might take some time until it "properly" works. It only was just enabled on a wider scale, so it will take some time for it to adjust. PLease check these threads for more information: Link 1, Link 2 and Link 3"

I honestly think they accidentally made the MMR backwards, because when I play a killer that i'm decent at, I get locker hiding survivors that throw every pallet they see and fail most skillchecks, but when I play a killer a barely play, I get matches that last 3 minutes and people with 10,000 hours (at least it feels like it).

honestly it took me like 3 games to get used to the new auras. its nice they reverted it, especially for people with not the best sight or a form of colour blindess, but if this is the direction they have envisioned for auras we better get ready for this to happen again. i see it like this: DBD is a person with a stab wound (MMR) and a splinter (auras). the paramedic devs pulled out the splinter but are telling the person to walk off the stab wound, because 'it will get better later'.

7th game as a Survivor... up against a Rank 2 Killer and with 3 Rank 5 Survivors... as a Rank 19.
We were up against Doctor and I spent a good portion of the match running around one side of the map thinking I was being chased, not understanding how Insanity works because I'd never seen this guy before. I finally figured it out when he hooked someone across the entire map that he wasn't chasing me and looked it up after.
I'm sure the other survivors, if they knew, would be thrilled to know this system put me on their team.

Tbf, I got a match exactly like that and the killer didn’t play like a noob and had 1500 hours in the game.
Not everyone at that rank is “new”. It could also be that it is a smurf account.

Honestly this is how it feels as survivor. Idk the criteria but I'm getting killers who can hook then boom kicked my Gen and have me hooked before that guy gets off and has the other running choosing the hook or hatch. I'm about rank 8-12 player that sometimes ends in red because I'll hatch or just leave matches but altruism feel dead.

your right, im not a doc main. and i am level 53 because i played some survivor to understand the game, then played various other killers for teachable perks. dont see what my profile level has to do with this but whatever. half of that i am asking for: rank 10 survivors. yknow, people my level? instead of games full of rank 1's who can just run circles around me, because im not the best killer out there. but its not just me having this problem, its way more. this update was supposed to fix this but it hasnt.
