The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

You know I get so sad everyday when I come on the fourms and see nothing but complaints:(

Because it is just filled with angry players that say things one min before a new update/change gets released .

Then when every single update/changes releases the complainers start:(

No matter what the devs try to change/explain to you guys. It does not work:(

Like I really don't think you guys know what you want at this point. Because the same thing happens everytime when a new update/change gets released. You guys will also give the wrong ideas to the new players:(

Sorry if I sound like I'm angry with you, but I'm just sad/mad when all I see most of the time are these threads:(

I think devs should start locking these complaint threads so that it does not spread to new players. And only them can read it:)

It’s best to just ignore and also it would take too long to lock them hours upon hours.

The thing that gets me is that we had warning that match making will be a bit rough until it settles down but still people complain.

Someone wrote about how the makers dont care for the game or the people playing it and are money grabbers and that the core team should be let go for other people..... very strange and I guess that person was having a very bad day.

I think DbD is a great game and think some people need to calm down. There are way bigger issues going on then a few bugs or glitches here and there. And to complain about something when you have been warned about it is just crazy.

I feel you. It kinda saddens me to see that many rants. Especially the ones that are straight up just rants and don´t even try to contribute anything of value. It´s okay to state opinions but some people on here seem to go out of their way to shame/guilt trip people to accept their opinions.

Gotta support what Roobnus said though. Although I firmly believe BHVR does in fact care about DBD and wants it to thrive (unpopular opinion I guess), some forum responses by officials seemed really questionable. There is some room for improvement on the PR department IMO.

The people complaining are heavily invested in the game. They want the game to be fun, they love the game - ironic considering some of the vitriol you see. If someone played this game but didn't like it, they'd just uninstall. Think of all the games that you've played and quit - did you go on their forums and post about it every day?

The complains come from missed expectations. The players are told that we will get (for example) good matchmaking. But instead we get a buggy mess that pits us against noobies. We're frustrated because we are in a worse place than if they did nothing, the games aren't fun, and we can only imagine how the noobies feel getting crushed over and over. Then when players like me are asking for things (for a while now) that would improve the game, instead the auras are changed. Yes that was mainly a bug - but surely they played ONE game with the new auras right? Surely they tested it one time instead of just rolling it out? Well they either didn't test it (which is frustrating) or they thought it was fine (equally annoying)

And if you've been around for the Dev live streams, it's like listening to a recording on repeat.

"What do you think of {X} issue? Will it ever get changed?"

"Yeah we're looking into that, we can't give any details or ETA, but it's something on our radar"

I Agree and Disagree with that statement at the same time.

While i agree they should listen more which its possible they are listening take into account behavior has bosses who care only about one thing for the game money so of course they are being told what to do and how to do it keep that in mind.

What i disagree with about that statement i don't believe the developers should listen to every single complaint keep in mind "NOED OP" "ADRENALINE OP" Posts like that exist on these forums and honestly a lot of them are just people who got very unlucky.

Point being i want the developers to listen but also take what they see with a grain of salt feedback should be taken seriously when it actually brings a point to the table but if its your typical WAH I DIED KILLER OP post then yeah their feedback is usually just wasting peoples time trying to get a reaction.

That's like any other game forum, people expressing their complaints and opinions. We all gotta deal with it

I try to make lighthearted topics, like my Haunted Grounds one...but nobody wants anything lighthearted, it seems.

I usually post odd comments on some issues. No one really reacts with them. Some ppl get really serious. I have a lot of bad games but I also have a lot of good games.

had a game last night where I went against a wraith with a Mori. I was hooked first. He cloaked and waited. I had a spine chill so I knew he didn’t go away. I get unhooked as I hear the bell. I knew for whom the bell tolled. Soon as I was unhooked I was put back into dying and then killed. Bad games happen.

i try to look at it like that person must have a mental burden of some kind that they need to let out and I just so happen to be there to be on the receiving end. Hopefully they don’t carry that burden as much now. Ppl tend to make their problems other ppl’s problems and it’s easy to forget that letting those things get to you will just make your burden heavier. So I wish that person a better day today than yesterday.

I am thinking back on the devs behind Deep Rock Galactic and Risk of Rain 2, who often interact with their communities and makes it feel like they care. And they do care! The Deep Rock Galactic devs are often active on Reddit, for example, just giving random opinions in threads and laughing at memes.

BHVR doesn't do any of that. When they respond they speak like they copy/pasted right out of the Corporate PR Handbook™ and they're actively withholding information about things because we, as a community, ain't good enough to indulge.

This is the sticking point for me because, from what I've seen, it looks like we've been getting conflicting information.

We were told MMR has been running in the background for months collecting data. Then we're told the MMR will need 10-ish matches. I saw another post that claims we're now being told it may take a couple weeks.

Yet streamers and fog whisperers who literally play this game for hours every day, are getting obvious mismatches game after game to the point where several of them are getting sick of the game altogether and going to Fall Guys.

Puppers once suggested the devs were actively trying to kill the game and cash in. At the time I thought that sounded Conspiracy Theory-ish, but honestly I'm starting to wonder if that doesn't explain a lot of what we're seeing.

Yeah, that's the reason why I barely visit the forums anymore. Say what you will about seeing chapter speculation posts but they are FAR more entertaining and unique then a lot of these posts these days. :/

Yea and those chapter speculation posts also surely make dead by daylight a better game... smh

When was the last time you decided to share your good game experience with random people on forums?

I'd say it's only natural that you'd rather want to hold on to the good feeling and go about your day.

Unsurprisingly if you have a terrible experience and you don't have anyone to talk to you discharge that energy by writing angry forum post. I'll probably make you feel better.

You got to remember though, players are just customers. How many times have you seen a bad customer at the supermarket or a cafe that just really expects it all and has absolutely no manners or patience. Now take that and turn it into a direct confrontation free environment behind the safety of a monitor and keyboard and bam you have the nonconstructive, impatient, entitled complainer crowd.

Having worked enough customer service in my day, I firmly believe every employee should be legally allowed to fight one customer per day. There is a button under the desk, you press it, a red light comes on and its go time!

It is kind of odd, for people to spend so much time hating on a game that they clearly play for an ungodly number of hours. Clearly the company is doing something right. By in large the Internet combines distance and brings out the absolute worst behaviors of entitlement, impatience, spite, and self-importance. Working for bEhavior must be a very thankless job indeed.

For my own part, I enjoy the game. I've run into the same issues everyone else has but see thing as a constant work in progress and the fun still is greater than transitory issues. So, thanks DbD and bEHavior... you done good as far as I'm concerned.

Blame the biters, they keep the clear as day bait posts alive. So many other interesting and fun things to talk about when it comes to DBD, instead people are distributing their energy to the “Killer/Survivors need (insert ridiculous entitled nerf demands here)” topics just to have someone to argue and bicker with.

Haha. Love it and yes I agree. I worked in retail for a long time and I would have loved that rule!!!

On a serious note,I know it can be a let down when something you are really into just isnt doing quite what it should but I'm sure they are doing all they can to sort any issues so we are enjoying ourselves and also so they dont get the keyboard warriors at them constantly, surely they must realise that. Is just sad is all.

I am deffo going to put that rule forward if I ever go into retail again haha.

    Name checks out

Nah I'm kidding, you are right. It's especially annoying when a lighthearted thread turns into the usual survivor vs. killer stuff. Or even better, into a DS/noed argument. People get rightly pissed off at the state of the game but also...just chill out for 5 minutes

BHVR promissed console optization 1, almost 2 years ago.

Everyone gets mad if you say something and never actually do what you said, or if you don't say you're going to do something before doing it

    They lack communication
