Can someone explain the problem with hatch?

i'm very confused as to my so many people have a problem with hatch. It seems balanced to me. Sure it can be annoying when survivors bring a key but without it its fine. It gives last survivors a chance to escape a almost hopeless situation. The key word here being "a chance" it isn't 100 percent guaranteed that the survivors are going to find the hatch before the killer does it or the survivor. So with can someone explain what's so wrong with it.

(P.s im a survivor main so im open to the idea that i could be bias)

Some people get annoyed when they do good as a killer but someone gets lucky and escapes. Pretty quickly I saved my sanity by just counting those as 4k wins. Otherwise I would have to slug and hunt for the 4k, which is just boring.

The hatch is exciting for me as both a survivor and killer... but once the killer finds it and has to patrol the doors, it's a little boring because it's almost always a foregone conclusion, and walking back and forth like a roomba is boring.

The hatch is a safety net to ensure that survivors simply stop trying to get out once a certain point in the trial is reached. The less survivors remain, the less generators have tobe completed for the hatch to spawn. Additionally, it spawns for the last survivor remaining regardless how many generators are complete.

"Survivors dont have to do their objective to escape" - call it my biased opinion or a fact.

Imagine killers had a button in the basement that instantly wins them the game once 4 generators are done. While this sounds ridiculous, and might be a rather obviously bad example, thats what the hatch is like for survivors.

As a killer main my issue with it is when neither the killer nor survivor can find it and it overextends the game. Otherwise I got no problem with it.

As for keys I don't mind them so much. Can spice things up like when I bring a mori to a game.

Generally I don't care all that much, but it can be a little annoying when you have a challenge to kill everyone in a trial and you just never found the hatch, and the last survivor is clearly somewhere just standing on it, but the map's too big to quickly find them. Also annoying, even as a killer, to see someone let their last teammate die while they just camp the hatch. In those cases I will do my absolute best to make sure that survivor gets a little karma for abandoning their teammate. And I don't mean when they have like 4 gens left, I've seen it happen with just one gen left. I've seen a dude leave TWO people on hooks to camp the hatch. Like what are you doing?? Did you bring the rarest item in the game and no white ward or something?

Im fine with hatch minus key. In fact its a good thing i think. I think some people get mad cause they see it as cheap for tge survivor to get an escape that way. Its a win for them without earning it, which is true but im just kind of indifferent to it. I already got my W so whatever.

For the most part I have no issue with the hatch.

But it is really annoying when you're up against a 4man and you're working on your 3rd kill, and that person just dies on hook to let the other person get hatch. Stuff like that is frustrating, but I don't really know how you'd even fix it, so I try to not let it bother me.

Keys are a different story in a way, so I won't even go into the problems I have with those lol.
