I've been without power for 5 days, and it just came back on an hour ago. I guess this is a sign from the universe that I should watch this fan film.
And for the record, I know this was low budget, but if I could pick anyone to play Dwight it would be Dwayne Johnson.

Just a small criticism, if you tell people it starts at 730, dont make them wait 30 minutes before you start it. I could have played like 3 more games before turning the game off now instead im staring at a starting soon screen for another 20 mins
Starting it at 735 would have made sense

Overall, I have to say it's a good start with the character introductions. But man, when it started to actually get interesting it ends rather anticlimactically.

I have a general question about the airing. I had seen the film yesterday and simply thought you were airing it early, but the video wasn't on the channel at all. Was that an accidental upload or what?

Ace was the best. David was miscast.
I wish I had realized it was gonna be so short. My family was making jokes I rickrolled them.
I enjoyed it but wish it had been longer. My family are never gonna let me rest and will rag about how I pumped it up...for a long time...

ok, gonna give my review. Sorry I wasn't there for the zoom Q&A, I had other stuff to do that I couldn't delay any longer. so if something I say gets addressed in the Q&A, please tell me.
first, what I liked.
The ambient was right. the mood seemed pretty hopeless and there was a sense of dread that absolutely should be there.
Everything Ace did on screen. just...everything. I laughed out loud when he raised the cuffs to nea the first time with that dumbass smile XD
The doctor's laugh was really good. not the same as the game, but really good nevertheless.
the lightning effects were simple, but effective.
the acting in general was really good.
the shot of every survivor standing together to face the threat at the end was really well done. (and in my opinion, the better shot to end the film on)
this was just enough character interaction to get me really interested in watching the entire season, but not so much character interation that it dragged.
but that does lead to the things I didn't like
this isn't the first episode of a season. it's a stand alone film.
the entire film feels like it's building up to the trial, but there's no trial. it's like, die hard, but the movie stops when the criminals get inside the building.
I wish we got to see the doctor chasing someone. Or any killer really.
the ending felt very out of place. we get a "the trial starts" text in the middle of the screen, but the film ends less than 30 seconds afterwards. why even have this section?
So in this continuity, the entity doesn't exist and what happened is that the doctor kidnaped everyone and put them in a basement of sorts? which actually fits the character of the doctor, but not the dbd lore. and I'm very against changing stuff like that. It's like the Doom movie, where they changed from demons into mutated people. It loses it's essence.
in fact, if the doctor is the one capturing people, why is there a trial at all?
and a very minor nitpick...
where did david find a cigar? It was a cool shot when there's darkness and the lighter iluminates him so gives his lines, but still...where did he find a cigar?
overall. It was good. I would watch more.

I liked it! I see you guys getting a lot of critical feed back, but it was a short, fan made film. You found very good actors to fit the characters, though I agree David should have been Jeff. Ace, Nea, Meg, and Dwight were spot on though. The rest did very well. I'd watch more.

I really enjoyed it. Short, but enjoyable. I liked how you had characters say quotes from their perks. Especially Dweet when he was rising up as leader at the end.
