Flashlight Abuse

I seriously think that the flashlight should have a cooldown.

I was just playing killer and I was hit by a flashlight, but then I was surrounded by the survivors and they repeatedly blinded me. I literally couldn't move or play or do anything for almost a whole minute. So I exited the match, and then I was completely trolled and called names for "rage quitting" even though I didn't rage quit. I was being blinded over and over and over and over from all directions and couldn't even play. I simply left because of the unfair gameplay.

That is complete utter bullshit. I sat there for a few minutes and then just exited the game. I didn't feel like playing after that.

This needs to be fixed.

I'll be sure to record all my matches for you from now on so I don't get called a liar.

???? I never called you a liar, I just wanted to raise awareness about item charges.

The only way they could have blinded him endlessly is only trough a bug, but I think it was fixed a long time ago :

While i don't like flashlight's as a killer myself, i will look up after the first blind, and if they're still all around you trying to blind, and hanging about preventing you from hooking, slug them all. If they complain, which 80% of survivor's will if they remain slugged, Just say Toxic vs Toxic tactics and you were just evening the playing field.

Just use lightborn if you see flashlights in your lobby. Gets rid of the issue completely.

as for the person saying flashlights need buffing - LOL.

"getting blinded for almost a minute" is a git gud case, sorry. You can literally just look up and never get blinded again. Flashlights have been nerfed to ground compared to before, if you played earlier with instablind, you probably would have quit the game.

You do realise that all you have to do to prevent a flashlight blind is look up?

Sounds like your a bit of a newer player and dont know the ropes yet.

Flashlights can be annoying but there also one of the easiest items to counter as killer.

There's actually an extremely advanced technique to avoiding chain flashlight blinds. This is very difficult to pull off and it may take years to be able to consistently do it, so read my instructions very carefully. Step 1: look up

Survivors will do toxic stuff like that.

Believe it or not it used to be WORSE. They actually had to nerf flashlights at least once already in the last 4 years the game has been out. They used to literally insta blind you without really having to aim them.

Any suggestion you put out about any of that stuff will likely get trolled or steamrolled.

IDK have you tried playing civilization? 🤷 I heard that's a fun game.

I'm under the impression that these other guys seem to be: you're a newer player and don't understand the ins and outs of things. Not to be offensive or anything.

I do believe you when you said you tried looking up or down. I genuinely do. Lets say you kept getting blinded somehow no matter where you looked -- you know what I say to that? I'd rather have that, even if I'm constantly just under a blind effect, than having all those survivors instead working on generators. If there's like 3 survivors just sitting there assaulting me with flashlights, even for a full minute that doesn't even leave enough time for one generator to get completely done. I'd much rather have them sitting there trying to assault me with lights than have them doing gens, or even better yet, using them to actually get saves.

You... you know you can look up, right? Or even down. Or perhaps to one side? The other side? At a wall?

    Is this for real?

This seems like a lack of experience from your part. You can still move for a hit and even look up to counter it. Not only that they have a perk to counter this mythic scenario.

A whole minute of being blinded is either the blinded forever bug or an exaggeration.

Even if they all brought purple flashlights with both bateries and blinded you for that amount of time first, you can look up to avoid the blinding, also if 4 guys are blinding you for 1 minute is annoying sure, but they are not working on gens or doing nothing of worth so its not that big of a deal.
