HAWKINS HELL

There's like 6 safe pallets in the entire map and if you're against pretty much any killer with chase shutting ability or even the most basic m1 killer legion oh my lord there's nothing you can do (nurse excluded obviously).

Like whenever you pass by a pallet the loop is so short and its against a wall, the killer can simply stand at the opposite side and wait to see if you go left or right then lunge. YOU HAVE TO GET A STUN, and I don't need to mention how difficult/risky it is with dedicated servers.

Can we get some more safe pallets please

Or maybe get the stun and don't make obvious pallet throws.

Countless times you fake running forward then run back and drop the hit still renders not to mention how AMAZING asian servers are, it's not worth taking the risk and a lot of times when you get the stun you're surprised.

Hawkins is a crap map in terms of pallet quality but you can create some pretty nice loops if the killer refuses to break some clusters of unsafe pallets.

Ah. I see you have never gone against actually stealthy survivors on Hawkins.

I'm not stupid enough to throw myself out in hawkins or any map in general since you wanna be wasting the killer's time finding you, and when he does is when you start the chase.

But this map literally lacks safe pallets, and it's not me speaking out of my as‎‎s here, the stats back it up

The map needs changes, I'd rather have 10 safe & 10 unsafe pallets than 30 unsafe ones

There are some decent pallets in the rooms on that map. Best bet is to treat the hallways in general as fillers to get to the next room.

But yeah, for the most part the map sucks and playing immersed is the smarter play there

It’s supposed to be a hard map. Get the stun or get hit.

Hawkins has some insane window loops that you can abuse and they're right in the center of the map, easily accessible. But yea, some pallets there are pretty much a guaranteed hit... You either get the stun or you get #########.

Honestly this. In some situations you are not always at the advantage to look a killer well. However with all the corridors and different rooms in the map it is more optimal at times to just play stealthy. That way you conserve pallets and dont get found in the first place. Stealth is still an option

This is a very ignorant statement that should never come from someone as experienced as you are. You could have just posted some Git Gud memes and it would have had at least some comedic value.

To the OP. Hawkings pallets are best played as a rank 20 would do (no joke). Provided you have some distance, you pre-throw one or two unsafe pallets. Taken in isolation, they're borderline useless. However, depending on the exact setup and provided you have some lead, the killer will often be forced to either kick or build too much bloodlust. Also, there are several pallets, so it's no use being too greedy

The pallets that are against one wall and some junk like barrels or crates are very unsafe. However, when pre-dropped and with some distance, you can often loop the long wall side or chain with another pallet.

There are some exceptions for obvious reasons. For example, the pallets that are against the outer walls, because you can't loop outside the map. Or those that are inside the rooms against the inner walls, but the exits of the room force you to cut back toward the middle of the room and therefore toward the killer. Those need a stun.

If there are stairs in the room, you can often chain those with the dropped pallet and force the kick.

For stuns, almost every killer with any experience will respect the unsafe pallets unless they have Enduring, which is also a gg on these loops. Generally, the third fake is the last one. Good killers will be very patient though and on some of those pallets they'll almost be impossible to stun.

Depending on the killer power, this whole conversation is subject to change. Some powers are pretty much a gg on this kind of loops. The strat is to hold m1 on gens, run early and hold W as long as possible. Not very interactive for either side, but this is the game design meta in this day and age.

Hardly ever get to experience the maps in general when I'm on killer as it's always instant DC's from the survivors. I don't DC when i get thrown Ormond or Rotten Fields and maps like those are a pretty guaranteed loss if the survivors are even semi decent and you're not on one of the top tier killers.

On survivor side the problem is you're trying to "win" chases. Your goal is to extend chases. You win those maps by spreading out and all working on different gens. Aside from the few stealth killers you also always have a heads up there coming to stealth away.

Funny, its just like the "pressure gens" argument, and used in the same way. Nice.
