What are you talking about? We are talking about showing a tad of sportsmanship to real people. The OP took it easy on a survivor hosed by a game bug and the survivor acted like a prick in return. We discussed instances of both sides being azzholes.
You seriously need to chill and take a step back. This is a meaningless game, not a life or death bloodbath. The discussion you inserted yourself into was about trying to act like a decent person and still getting treated like crap. You obviously don't get it.

You made a whole post about being genrushed after letting a survivor go. Then titled it why killers are salty.
You can be edgy and snippy all you like, but it doesnt change the fact that it bothered you enough to ######### about it here.

If you click the flashlight at the exit gate JUST to annoy the killer, then yes, it is toxic. If he would use it normally then of course not.

Even if he just clicked it repeatedly "until he died" it doesnt mean anything. It could be "thanks", it could be "let's bs til I die".
But if you think flashlights flickering is toxic, you probably shouldnt play online games. If that's all it takes to tilt you, you're gonna have a bad time. It's a pixelated flashlight in a game. And if you let THAT bother you, it's done more than its job.

It's not my assumption. It's my CONCLUSION based on the information I have. Your title. Your situation. All of it. It screams "I didnt exploit so I deserve a better game than I got". Which you dont. You cant just expect everyone to be like "oh look, they're not cheating, let's just not do gens".

Nothing is toxic as long as they dont have the intention to be toxic and i never said ,,its bothering me" or something like that. The thing is, the most people who do that DO it because they WANT to be toxic but yes i know that doesnt mean EVERYONE does it.

He was stuck. (MacMillan map, I reckon?) you recognized he was stuck. what you should have done was pick him up, and either let him wiggle free while walking in small circles or dropping him a couple of times.
To him it probably looked as if you slugged him with no way of getting out and set out to slug the others, barring him from normal gameplay, actively abusing a bug there.

Auto haven actually. And sure I could see him thinking that. Not what happened. Hell o even saw the person going to pick him up and nodded at them as I went for someone on a gen who hooked. So, I assume you find absolutely nothing a survivor or killer does to be in any way "prick" behavior? Face camp from the start, all good. 4 Man SWF focused on harassing the killer until they are bored and then hitting gens...all good. Players using bugs in the game to "survive" (looking at you hook tec), all good again? You say other's need to grow up when all you are doing is trying to validate what is otherwise widely viewed as toxic behavior in the game. Who needs to grow up here?
You literally jumped into a conversation where two people were discussing trying to play the game as if it was a game. Trying to treat other players as if they were a living person, and how sometimes behavior of others makes it difficult. You felt you needed to jump in and villainize those people and then say THEY need to grow up?
Please, go stare at the mirror in the bathroom until you understand how off base you are here. No need for any further discussion here. You are clearly incapable of grasping an adult conversation about not taking a GAME too seriously. with a proper filter this could get interesting... like, imagine you'd have survivors that would want to insult you that way and if the filter catches their thinly veiled slurs and insults often enough the entity takes them directly with no BP :D

FYI pointing your flashlight and holding is done to let the killer farm Flashlight Evasion points in Deviousness.
They didn't BM you in any way.
You did a gestures of sportsmanship, which is supposed to be done in order for the match to proceed fairly and normally. Then you come here and complain because the match proceeded fairly and normally.
Your whole grievance boils down to this: I let this survivor live once because of a glitch. They wouldn't let me kill them because of that.
And if you didn't want to kill them, then what did you want exactly?

You learned a lesson then. Killer is supposed to kill by any means. But what do you mean by playing toxic? You can't play toxic. Being toxic is writing evil messages after the game, not playing the game.

Please, for the love of everything stop with this nonsense. Him not letting me kill him is not the issue. If that was the case I'd complain about every single time I couldn't even get one hook.
I understand this happens, I never expect to win every game. Hell, I know I'm going to lose before it even happens.
If I wanted to complain and what not, I would talk about my very first match and the messages I recieved and what went down when I asked for advice.
My point I was trying to make, which I don't feel needs to be stated, is that survivors blame killers for their behavior, and things like this are why killers do what they do.
Thing is, and it's sad that I have to spell this out... literally any match I have had, once at the gate, I take the free hits and they leave, they dont stay. When he first flashed, I accepted defeat, looked to the person sitting next to me to answer a question I was asked. I look back about 10 seconds later I'm still blind. Never once has a survivor hung around that long. It wasn egregious. Plain and simple.

I wasn't mad about the gen rush and I did not call it toxic. I didnt just stand there either. I chased him all the way to the door. He was one step from leaving. Or is it now normal acceptable gameplay to do what I described.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but have you considered that maybe your standing still and not moving could be interpreted as you letting him farm blind points? Educated guess.
Also, if people find this 'toxic' and seek some sort of retaliation, then there's not much I can say, because there was no bm whatsoever according to your story.

I see the point you are trying to make. If I was idle, then you have one. He was at the exit. Like one step and he's out. The other survivor left. I was under the impression he was going to leave after the he blinded me. I have been blinded at the gate plenty. They all leave after the blind.
In simple terms, the way I am viewing it is they were trying to teach me a lesson about being decent to my fellow player. Had the other survivor done it, I wouldn't even have posted. The action was outside the norm, as compared to literally every other match I have played as killer.
Again I'm not mad, others might post out of anger but not me. Please never assume anything about me.

Ffs, will you, people, EVER learn that playing the game IS NOT toxic? Just because some ways of playing it annoy you, it doesn't give you any right to act like other people should not play like that. That's called entitlement and if you will not get rid of "everybody should play how I want" mentality, you should quit DbD (and PvP games in general, no, quit ALL multiplayer games. Dead by Daylight is a PvP game. Player Versus Player. There is no way that through the coarse of gameplay, actions of one side won't hurt the other, because if they didn't, it wouldn't be a PvP game. There always is a winner and a loser. Especially in an assymetrical 4v1 game.
Doing your objective fast isn't toxic. Genrushing, tunneling, etc.
Stopping the other side from completting its objective isn't toxic. Flashlight saves, any slowdown strats, etc
Sacrificing completion of one part of your objective in order to secure the other part isn't toxic. Camping, abandoning your team etc.
Using ANY things that are available to use and aren't forbidden by actual rules of the game isn't toxic. Playing Spirit/Freddy, using keys, flashlights or mories.
And so on. No matter how it frustrates some people, the tactics and things above are the PART OF THE GAME. And if you dislike that, you`d better quit the game, because this is staying in one way or the other for a long time.

I am in no way new to pvp games, I knew what this game was. Before I picked it up.
I made no issue out of the gen rush, I just stated that it happened. I DID NOT COMPLAIN.
I never once said that people should play my way. I don't know where you got that from.
I did not complain about the use of items. I did not complain about getting kills. I did not complain about losing. Hell I got 2 out of 4, and didn't depip. I'm good on that note.
There were no complaints about mechanics or anything else.
What I was trying to point out is instead of leaving with his buddy, he stayed to grief me. That simple. Never had that happen before, never seen it in all my years. Even watching streamers. That is all. Not what you and other have been assuming.

look. lets all just take a second and be honest. survivors complain about anything and everything. you disrupt how they wanna play you the killer are toxic. you hook someone and 2 people are right next to hook flashing lights tea bagging trying to do everything they can to get you to tunnel so they get safe hook. you can leave 2 survivors on second hook and not worry about them and they will still taunt and say how your bad and they out play you. their is nothing. NOTHING as a killer we can do to make survivors happy. they are entitled think the game is played through them and as far as i'm concerned don't be nice. if they are decent survivors they will never be nice and they don't care about you as a killer. so why should we the killer care about hurting survivors and their feelings. no matter what they will complain and they get triggered.

Nothing you described was outside the norm. And it wasn't outside the norm for normal manners, not even for bm.
Farming blinding points is totally normal. Staying at the exit line to farm is totally normal, just in case the killer decides to pull a fast one. If you don't want to engage, you can leave or force them out. If you stay there, they'll take it as if you're consenting, because that's the commonly understood meaning.
If they stay once you leave, that's a bm. If they click or tbag, that's bm. Chaining blinds when the killer just stands there, it's not.
