So how has ranking been for those that have tried cross-play?
One of the biggest disadvantages about the original MMR was being ranked against red ranks that were far above your skill level. With cross-play now implemented, do you find that this is still the case, or have things ironed out a little bit?

Games actually seem pretty the same for me on both killer and survivor sides.
However I've been finding games extremely fast, almost instantly.
Haven't played against any legendary PC nurses or huntresses yet tho so I'm a bit excited, I play on xbox

For me its been actually good im getting people of my rank so its going good so far. Also MMR is off we don't know if its gonna come back its been removed for now.

I've played five games today as a rank 5 killer and all my games have been against rank 5-6 survivors. Not a single red rank.

Good, it's mostly been in a 3-4 rank range.

Well rank reset happened like 4 hours ago not many red ranks right now.

No MMR at the moment. They reset it to the old Matchmaking based on ranks.

I play on xbox and matchmaking feels better now with cross-play.

I've had much more accurate killers (they're close to my level, 50/50 who wins in a chase) but the survivors from crossplay have been performing way lower than their rank. only done about 5 games so far though so not a large sample size

I'm actually amazed at how good this has been tonight! Great matchmaking, instant lobbies, tough but fair opponents, fewer SWFs (as far as I can tell - Thanks all you commsless PC gamers!).
I was expecting the forums to be full of complaints. I am delighted that there is nothing to complain about.

Seems like console players really don't know what they are doing as survivors. I've been quaded with potatoes. Thinking of opting out.

I’ve played 4 matches as killer today, and let me tell you...matchmaking has been the best. Opponents are challenging to face, but nothing ridiculous. There was one game where two survivors managed to escape with a key, but I still took it as a win since I had the highest points out of everyone. Ranks have been the same color as mine and I’ve only seen one or two red ranks in a match compared to the usual three or four. So yeah, it’s been real great and I’m definitely going to keep playing!

I'm a Rank 9 survivor going against Red Rank killers with Red Rank survivors and escaping.
I don't know about MMR, but it's keeping me in this range for some reason.
As a survivor, rare do I get a PC player alongside me, and as a killer I get nothing but PC players. Full lobbies of PC players.

how does it work with switch players if they don't have the nightmare on elm street levels and players?

im a green rank switch survivor and my first two matches were against red ranked killers with red ranked survivors...it’s kind of a mess. my last game was okay, i went against a yellow rank killer and was the only one that escaped.

I personally on ps4 had no issues with the ranking system everyone was the roughly in the same bracket no rainbows, but I’ve turnt it off for now

That's a good question. I have to imagine that if Freddy is selected as the Killer, then the Nintendo Switch doesn't factor in.
