"The Alchemist" - This has weight to it, I'm told the sound in the beggining is from the pestula event we had that had a lot of lore around "The Alchemist" in it.

Its gotta be a warewolf pay attention to the head at this time stamp it resembles a dog like face and you can kinda see dog like ears i could be stretching but my theory is its a warewolf

Werewolf/Jekyll and Hyde. It sounds like maybe glass breaking at first. Maybe his thing he drinks to turn into Hyde? Could also be a werewolf for similar reasons. It looks hairy though, so i'm going for werewolf.

Definitely this new killer is the alchemist. You hear a glass thing breaks basically a syringe and then transform on werewolf or maybe a wendigo creature surely wolf.
I just hope it not be another m1 looped forever killer

Realistically - knowing how the devs are, what we are looking at in the trailer is likely the survivor being inflicted by the killers power.

You hear glass breaking though, which is similar to clowns (you see kate and hear a glass break), so I was thinking maybe we're seeing a survivor being affected by something, and not the killer.

Here me out... Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? The shadow is similar enough to the original character and I'm pretty that whole thing was brought about by the drinking of a potion. The chapter is confirmed to be non-licensed, and the story is absolutely old enough to not have a copywrite anymore.

That is a good point but its also possible the killer is maybe powering up by drinking the glass and then breaking the glass its very possible both ways but what i find odd is the hair in it would be funny though if the killer threw bottles at survivors and turned them hairy xD

Festering is an interesting word, because it can mean an infection/open wound, something rotting or " undergo physical and mental deterioration in isolated inactivity."
So maybe someone with open wounds or mental issues from isolation? I'm thinking Candyman still..

Based on the shape of the head they're wearing a hood. So my guess is the alchemist.

The shadowy figure shape seems like some sort of werewolf or something similar, but the glass breaking (and that other noise that I can't make out) doesn't seem like a coincidence. I like the theory that it's the Alchemist. Possibly transforming into some sort of beast-like creature.

So, quick research and speculation. I see nothing in the IMDB trailers that looks viable.
Leaks by Daylight says they've added Shards as a currency for purchasing it.
Which implies non-licensed. I showed the video my wife and her first thought was The Fly but after we watched it a few times she said it does look more like a Werewolf.
To me the glass shattering at the beginning instantly made me think of Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde, which is also old enough to be public domain... I guess we'll see.
EDIT:
I'm a new player so I don't have any of the Tomes completely finished but I do I have one Alchemist cut scene and this seems like a good guess.

the hoodied figure looks a lot like him (The Alchemist) aswell.
i think the scene we got to see was him injecting himself with one of the nektar vials he became addicted to (thats why we hear the sound at the beginning, its him injecting himself the fluid with a syringe).
if the tomes compendium section wasnt bugged, i'd go back to tome 1 to check. but since i cant do that, im stuck with this assumption.

Devs already tired a flying killer but they didn't go with it cz it was way to easy to find survivors on open maps and you power was kind of useless in the indoors maps.

I guess there is a way to open the Tome1 memories, because i just did it. Try going into the Compendium directly after starting the game. So Main-menu:Archieve:Compendium.

It is most likely alchemist probably overdosing on the serum and turning into some sort of creature or something that is definitely not werewolf, because the things growing out of his back look more like spines than fur, since fur wouldn’t look like ^ ^, it would look more like ~ ~ ~ so yeah, it’s probably alchemist turning into an entity like being or something

yeah its weird... ive got it once aswell, but like 95% of the time i try to go there i just end up looking at the Tome 4 stories.
its okay though, you can find the video on the internet so i could indeed check a little later.
just hope this gets fixed soon
