Is doctor too strong?
You saw the title. Got into yet another debate 😂 this one much less obvious of whose right. So first side of this. Doctor is OP. Since he has abilities that can make survivors reveal their position and force them to stop whatever it is they’re doing or form doing anything for a brief moment. Such as vaulting, throwing pallets and anything else really. Not only that but he can cause skill checks to be a lot more difficult to hit causing you to pop gens and reveal you’re position yet again. To this person Doctor is OP in the sense that he has tools for everything making him too strong. I on the other believe he is strong but not OP. Yes he has tools that allow him to do things much easier but the duration you have to wait to vault and stuff isn’t long enough and without add ons the range of shock therapy just is too short. If he was already that close he would’ve been able to hit you soon anyway. His madness isn’t that bad as you can tell the difference between hallucinations and fake, and skills checks aren’t that much more difficult to hit. He’s very time consuming. All in all I find him strong and annoying but definitely not OP as you can still easily get around him as long as you know what to do. Thoughts?

He is weak if you are not overly greedy with loops.

Safe pallets can still reduce him to a Basic M1 killer. I really like the new version. Less annoying to play against due to the passive madness build up being removed. Removing the toggle mode made him a lot more fun and less finicky to play.
I used to hate playing him now he's in my top 3 played without a doubt.
He's an example of a rework done right, along with the Hag. Hope they can do the same for Legion and Clown someday.

I don't think he's too strong, I think survivors just get in their head that he is and give up without actually trying to play against him and get better. I think it's like that with a few of the killers that people think are OP.

Doc has never been OP. He just counters stealth gameplay and that annoys the ones who like stealth. Lockers are nice against him. Quick and Quiet with Head On, Iron Will and Inner Strength makes Doctor matches a... blast 😁
...I'll see myself out.

At which point you pray to the Entity and its many clicky clacks that you don't run into a Doctor using Iron Maiden.

Basekit doc is fine. His add-ons way overbuff him to the point that an okay doc with a couple of yellows or greens can be downright unbeatable. And I'm not talking about yet another antiloop killer that can only be genrushed, either.

Whoops. Forgot about that 😂😂😂

Tbh, I kinda like Doc. I've been using Calm Spirit a lot lately, so it's usually my team that has trouble with him while i'm chilling with a gen. He's fun to play against, though I did encounter one with the perk that gets rid of his TR when he stands still. He face camped me while I was on hook and got one of my team mates before we had a David+Flashlight come by and keep him occupied. Good game though. Still one of my favorites to play against.

As a doc main he is not overpowered at all.

Doctor is literally an M1 killer with an AoE interrupt and 8 flavors of excessive skill checks.
Literally an M1 killer.

He's a little irritating to go against, but not really because he's strong. He's just good at shaking things up and interrupting what you're doing if you can't get good distance on him.

No killer in the game is too strong atm.

Doc is B tier. Good tracking and anti-loop. Okayish slowdown with people needing to snap out of madness III sometimes. His biggest point is people find him annoying, which he's supposed to be.
Good survivors will hit his altered skill checks. Good survivors don't need to blendette around the map to survive. Good survivors will know when to drop pallets/vault windows/break off into a different loop against him.
Basically, if you suck at this game, you will have a very bad time against Doc. If you're good at the game, he's a decent killer to go up against.

Doctor is passable now but good survivors beat him each time unless they get bad RNG with pallets which is rare. Most people who can't deal with Doctor are older players who treat him like old Doctor. Same with how people getting dumpstered by Leatherface now are treating him like old Leatherface and not new one.

I think he’s fine where he is. Though I’d say he becomes more powerful while running iron maiden because one of survivors strongest counters to him (lockers) are suddenly unsafe lol.

If he had a movement ability or insta-down, he would probably be op. He just has a lot more going for him compared to other m1 killers, such as
-built-in tracking
-built-in slowdown
- a chase ability that doesn’t have a drawback.
-isn’t very perk or add-on dependent
-a power that isn’t very map dependent
- the ability to interrupt survivors doing your hex totems from afar
-a ton of good add-ons
-few counters + the ability to counter his counters
-and perks being able to synergize with his power.
Overall, the doctor is good because he doesn’t have any huge weaknesses compared to other killers and is a lot more reliable, but still can’t prevent gens from being done across the map from him or down somebody incredibly fast.
Personally, I wish the weaker killers had at least half the things doc has so that they don’t have to have a hard match because of reasons like bad/no add-ons, a bad map, or bad rng.

He's strong but not at the level of Nurse and Spirit.

I've played against him, and i've just picked him up and started playing him. Sure he is annoying as hell to play against but against a decent team he can easily be beaten.
