survivor nerf

Survivors are too OP. This is how you fix it:

  • Timeout on very action they have (just like any killer)

Eg: It takes 2 seconds to ... well anything, 2 secs to turn on/off the flashlight, 2 seconds to start/finish gens, healing crouching. ( this fixes the clicky-clicky survs, or teabagging, or getting away waaaay to easy from gen grabs)

Some other points:

  • When running the survivors have inertia... think Oni (goodbye 360 jukes)
  • Cannot fast vault unless running for 3 sec prior to vault (to avoid fast repeated pallet vaults)
  • Once one gate has been opened. The other locks permanently .
  • reduce surv running speed when they are looking behind.

Imagine a Claudette just standing there with a head above the bush and then 2 seconds later she goes and crouch because of your proposed mechanic LMAO.

The 360 part is only a problem for Oni perhaps. I'm a rank 18 demogorgon (Which isn't high at all but hear me out) who has faced quite a few red rank SWF (Because Matchmaking is so incredibly good) who did some spinnies. It's not that difficult to counter.

The 3 second running buildup for a fast vault goes a step into the right direction but I think 3 seconds is too long. I'd make it closer to 1,5 seconds.

The locking of the other gate while another is active just incentivises the killer to camp the active gate. They can basically guarantee a rancor kill.

Reducing survivor speed while they're looking behind is also not a nerf that I can see being justified. The drawback is that you don't see what is in front of you or how much distance is between you and a pallet/window to make new decisions. Of course there are many survivors who can manage looking both forwards and backwards to optimise their running, but I also see a lot of teammates and myself also a few times bumping into walls or against a pallet by the side.

Survivors don't need to be nerfed (SWF and key nerfs I can get behind), solo Q and killers need to be buffed.

Lmao I hope the devs implement this as a killer main so we can get pages and pages of butthurt threads 🤣

As bad as these changes are, you gotta.look.on the bright side. It'd be a hilarious balance, and totally not backfire at all

Balancing around SWF is a stupid idea. Solo will get screwed if you do that and that's a bigger portion of player than killers.

what make survivor op is the number of second chance perk available and the swf comm. If killer could get some new perk that are playable the game could be in a better spot. But right now tge second a second chance perk get nerf lets say unbreakable, souls guard is there for that meanwhile killer get a notification when you heal at 32 meter away from him

Survivors in solo mode is fine.

Only survivors in SWF need a nerf.

I'm both solo queue and killer. I've never been, and likely never will be, in a SWF. SWFs need nerfs or killers need buffs, which is it? If you're BHVR, I doubt you nerf your cash cow.

Survivor doesn't need a nerf at all. With uncounterable killers like Deathslinger, Spirit, Nurse, in the game, and killers who are insanely strong like Billy, Oni, etc., you're delusional if you think survivor in general needs a nerf.

Only balance killers around swf if solo survivor is buffed considerably. And a solid half to 2/3 of killers in general are not weak in the slightest.

Totally perfect post. They should also make it a 20% chance of tripping while in chase. And if you twist your ankle, you have to walk the rest of the match.

In fact, the devs should just make it to where the survivors automatically start the match in dying state.

With all perks, especially Unbreakable disabled for 5 minutes

buff solo to be on swf level then you can buff killer.

Of course, how delectably devious! Just to be sure those pesky survivors still aren't too strong, Deerstalker should be added as a passive ability to every killer's kit that shows auras up to 60 meters away.

the only part of this I agree with is the grabs. I've had times where I was in the grabbing animation, then they cancelled it and got away without a hit. That should not happen. Otherwise, I think survivors are pretty balanced. Your ideas would make it so that survivors can basically never get away if the killer starts a chase.

    Ok so

-no timeout for starting to crouch ( but need to stay crouch for min 5 sec)

    Another suggestion

    • limited healing only 3 health states per surv per game
    • how about surv start a lobby without any perks, than before the game the need to select their perks, if one picks a perk the others can't have it anymore (like they pick characters in moba. games) hmm maybe let the killer "ban" a few (2-3) perks, also survs can ban 2-3 killer perks

I actually think that a crouch delay for survivors is a great idea since stealth gameplay can get really boring and this would reduce it a little bit, mainly for blendettes. The crouch could also take longer the more you do it in a row, which would make playing against huntress or myers a little harder. Playing against them with a decent team is really easy anyways. Urban evasion could be changed so it reduced or eliminated it, making it way better and more useful.

Maybe a stamina fatigue could work for survivors and make them slower or something, but there is already the bloodlust mechanic which sucks and could be removed. But that is probably way too much work and bugs.

As for fast vaulting pallets, why not add a medium vault like there is to windows? So if a survivors just camps a pallet he medium vaults instead of fast vault.

Ehh if the average survivor could properly loop killers would lose a hell of a lot more often because of how the game is designed not counting nurse or spirit also most killers are weak as you said and because the devs are balancing torwards the average survivor killers end up weak at the high end and swf makes it worse. Op isn't wrong it's just that most survivors are bad

    How to counter those killers:

    Iron Will

    Don't be so predictable

    SWEEEEERRVE

Note: I was high when i wrote that last one

They should also make a Weak Knees status where if survivors crouch too much, their knees start to hurt and they have to lay down for 3 minutes
