So waiting out Corrupt Intervention is really a thing?

I’m not saying it’s just console, but I’ve noticed it a lot lately from playing both sides people are really willing to crouch next to a coveted gen for two minutes.

I guess if all four do it then the perk is wasted... except on trapper, Hag, demo, Freddy and plague who can make use of the time.

And that’s IF all four so survivors do it which unless you’re SWF isn’t guaranteed. If 3 wait and even one runs to work gens that’s just free hits for the killer basically.

That's why I usually always run whispers, but pre x-play it was never really a problem. I wonder if stealth is prevalent in the console meta ( not that there aren't stealth pc players).

I usually cleanse the totems in that area as I make my way to the other gens. Most times I see the killer checking the blocked gens first thing to see if anyone is by them rather than wait for survivors to head to the unblocked gens.

I’ll check for totems and chests if I don’t have an item, then I look for a gen to do. I’ve seen teammates just sitting lately though you’re right stealth is all over but I wonder if it’s more prevalent in console

I don’t like to work on the available gens because I know the killer will patrol them, but I use that time to hunt down the totems and cleanse them.

I'll look for totems and chests and for a gen that isn't blocked but I'm also not going to run around like a chicken with the head cut-off because the killer has Corrupt Intervention. If I just plain can't find anything walking around, I have no issues with chillin in my area until Corrupt has worn off.

Corrupt doesn't really matter to me. My opening move is always the same. Scout the area for totems and chests while seeing what i have to work with.

I try to do bones or chests during this.

Honestly even though Corrupt Intervention is a good perk this is one reason I don't use it personally. It just seems like it's too easy to get into a pretty boring start of the game where the killer is just walking around, maybe setting some things up maybe not, while the survivors are hiding waiting for the intervention to end. Also it encourage survivors to go and cleanse totems which is counter productive if I happen to be using a Hex.

Don't get me wrong, I totally get why it's a popular perk, it's just not my style.

I don't use the perk i feel like it useless because survivor do wait but looks like fromt he posts that gets survivor cleanse totems but most like with killer who not using NOED.........

Waiting for 2 minutes is crazy, I can't believe someone do this. Expirienced killer knows that survivors most likely spawn in the blocked gens area so he would go check there first. I think the best solution is go find gen in center of the map to prevent 3 gens situation in the end. That is my strategy as survivor no matter if killer has corrupt or not.

Waiting out Corrupt is the reason I almost never use it. Somehow, with extreme irony, Ruin or Pop is more consistent.

Console players have a tendency to wait out Corrupt Intervention. I don't play console but I believe they went through a stealth meta for sometime because a lot of them play that way. Which there is nothing wrong with, learn your play style, pick perks that strengthen your play style, and obviously adapt. But yeah, if it becomes a constant issue I'd recommend running Whispers.
