Console players, opinions on crossplay?

What your guys opinions so far? I dunno if its just me, but it seems like the frames are a little less stable on console when crossplay is enabled? Hard to tell sometimes with the fps on this game.

Another thing is I wish they would allow crossplay to only be across consoles.

So far, I got it turned off. Im hopeful they will make crossplay even better.

I like it, I'm glad my friends who don't have PCs can play with me since I'm switching to PC. However, I really, really, REALLY want a console optimization patch. I've been playing on the Nintendo Switch here and there because it's my main account and I want to make sure I get Tome challenges done for the Rift Pass, and the advantages killers have on console survivors is HUGE. I'm talking Dead Hard not working, pallet stuns not working, vaults, etc. It's like the lag/frame drops would have been happening for both survivor and killer on the same console, but now it's just the console player having to take that L and the PC killer benefiting from it without even knowing what happened.

I feel pretty helpless in chases even with good safe pallets, unless I'm playing on PC or I'm up against another console killer.

I'm loving it honestly. PC survivors and killers are so much fun to play against. I get far less sweat fest teams for both sides for a change. It's really brought back the enjoyment of the game for me. I still get the occasional camper or potato teammate, but at least I'm finally enjoying the game and not just playing it to grind the Rift.

I like it, just don't like how so many pc users have the BIGGEST egos and decide to rub it in our faces that they are better. Maybe it'd be a different story if the graphical update also optimizes console, allowing for better frames.

It's great as a survivor but as a killer it's not the best if I'm going up against pc survivors.

The frames are unacceptable when killin, especially on the indoor maps. Getting Lery's almost feels like an auto-loss with the fps in there. Turned it off until it's console to console only , or we get that long overdue optimization. Not sure either will ever happen though...

Frames definitely felt worse when I had crossplay on. Also felt super laggy. Noticed the ping bar was red when I had crossplay on. Turned it off, ping bar was green and frames went back to the normal console issues.

I said it on other posts, overall didn't have fun playing with crossplay on. Felt like teammates from other platforms were working more against eachother rather than with eachother. Unless I had another ps4 player on my team I was being left on first hook until I died or struggled, usually until I died. I was bumped to purple from rank reset, first couple matches my teammates were purple/red but rest of time it was rainbow ranks. My wait times increased with crossplay on, turned it off and they are only a minute or two despite the warning they give to discourage turning off crossplay. I'm happy that there's plenty of other ps4 players that felt the same and also turned off crossplay.

I think they should've waited until they optimized console before having crossplay with pc. Pushing ahead and responding with "just turn off crossplay", or vague "we're looking at it" on console optimization posts, makes me think they aren't going to optimize console to be balanced with pc.

Haven't really noticed a difference. It's nice to be able to play with my friends on other systems

    Have it disabled for now.

Hoping in the future they enable crossplay between the 3 consoles only.

Well, I don't play on console, but my daughter does, as well as my brother. We've been having fun together, they haven't noticed any massive difference so far, but none of us are red ranks, either. (I almost am, but they're still green.)

The only part my brother doesn't like is when I tell him to divert power from the Switch's screen brightness to the GPU so he can get more frames for looping.

Haven't played killer yet with Cross-play active, but o the survivor's side, I've noticed no change in the quality of my matches.

I have it disabled after about 5 hrs of matches. With cross play the frame rate is horrible anytime someone is hooked, dies, blood lust kicks in or killer users their power it drops and not to mention in door maps. I've noticed more laggy matches and the lobby times take longer.

I have no reason to cross play. Everyone is all excited because it is new but as this wears on more people will opt out.

Don't forget we were promised console optimization almost 2 years ago still waiting.

According to leaks the springwood, red forest and yamoka are all getting reworks in the ptb, it is not enough.

You know that it shouldn't really affect your FPS right? But I guess with DbD we never know.

Cross-play is great, I feel like I get way less Swat rank-1 SWF when I'm playing killer. The killer queue are instant which is awesome and seriously I love cross-play everywhere is just nice that we get to play with console player.

On the other hand the fact that you thing every PC player get 100 FPS + in this game is hilarious and some of you guys think everyone is hacking kinda shows that maybe that player base is younger.
