I'll be honest, it occasionally could give one something of a breather, as most killers went into relaxed farming mode with the survs when one or two people dced.

ye, its back. Just dc'ed 5s in game to check it. Got well deserved 5min ban. Well, I prefer to chat 90% of my time anyway... I'll later try dc penalty again just make sure it really work and ban increase. :^)
Hmm, interesting when the ban decrease or reset back to 5min tho. I'll need to dc again in a week. :D

I just enjoy it when it is gone and suicide when it is not. It is ridiculous but not a real deal breaker on playing.

And we're back to this old song and dance. The DC penalty is an awful idea implemented badly. But BHVR are incompetent so what do you expect I guess.

Can confirm, I DC for the first time every today (I dont dc as I don't see the point) but this killer slugged us all down and refused to hook anyone and was just watching us bleed out, so I had enough and through im not playing this, I aint laying on the floor for 4 mins while he taunts us all. So I DC....bam hit with my first penalty.... tbh I would take the 5 min time out that sit and watch him taunt us

This is why it's pointless, they need to back fill from queue with a bonus or with bots. Also the "quitter" bonus is laughably bad and should be like 4x as much as what it is for everyone left in the game.

Gee, can't wait the game force you to play with bugs(hill or locker stuck), hacker(Get banned for no reason and unfair fight) and maybe broken matchmaking on future until Tru3s get banned again. Someone need sacrifice.

Yeah really..
Before crossplay was launched, even with the penalties off, the ammount of disconnects was still better than before they added the system.. I had more disconnects in a single evening than the last 3 months, all against console players. Take that how you will, but yeah..

DC penalties don't really do much, imo. They will just kill themselves on first hook instead.

The disconnect penalty is like a barebones protection for any decent online game. It is a fantastic idea (if only the bare minimum) that any game where you're screwing over your team by disconnecting should have implemented.
Maybe this time BHVR will have gotten it right.
If you disconnect so frequently that this is an issue, stop playing. Just stop.

Hope the devs fixed the problem so they don’t need to be disabled again. We should be seeing a lot less DCs because someone got outplayed, a Survivor wants to give the Hatch, or a map offering didn’t work.

Or they're facing a killer they don't want, or a specific build they don't want to play against (iridescent hatchets, forever freddy, and other such meta builds)
(and for killers ) Or they got looped for 15 seconds, or their Hex got destroyed right at the start, 2 gens popped up at the same time without them finding a single survivor..
