What ARE survivors supposed to do??
As a Killer, I perfectly understand every single thing I do and why. Smashing generators, stalking and chasing survivors, it all directly helps me.
But as a Survivor, the only things that directly help me are perhaps unhooking my teammates but MORE importantly, fixing generators and cleansing all Totems. What else should I be doing and, how can it possibly help me/what is the purpose of it?
Asking because I've had SEVERELY drawn out games of Survivor with low as Hell bloodpoints.

Define low bloodpoints. I'd suggest using some healing builds and start helping out other team mates more. Maybe you don't do enough helping your team outside of saves. Or just use we're gonna live forever

I usually get 15-20k as a survivor no matter how i play. Sometimes even 20k without escaping. If you really struggle with blood points you can try prove thyself

Just try to meet all the emblems. At least 1 of each (heal, repair, unhook, chase, escaping)

Open chests
Get chased by the killer
Get a safe unhook/Heal
Take a protection hit
Get chased by the killer again
Open the gate

Objective: Working on gens with other survivors awards more points than working on gens solo. Opening the exit gates. Opening Chests. Also somethings like Pig traps and Demo portals also provide objective points for hitting the skill checks.
Altruism: Safely rescue survivors from hooks, heal other survivors, and taking protection hits.
Boldness: Have long chases against the killer, escape the killer in chase, Vault Windows and Throw pallets in chase, Stun the killer. Cleansing totems.
Survival: Escape trial alive bonus if by hatch. Dying or escaping as obsession also rewards survival. Mending yourself. Some killer powers can boost your survival like removing the rbt or surviving ghostface's stalk.

BP gains are too low in general. The game punishes stealth. There are 4 categories. You are expected to get chased, get hit, get hooked, heal, but not die.

Don't do gens alone and get as many saves as you can with a decent chase here and there. Or just play killer for bp.

As in sub-15K in a literal, 40 minute game sometimes

getting into chases and stunning the killer

Also, totems are more BP per/sec than gens. I see Prove Thyself listed but not We're Gonna Live Forever. Granted WGLF doesn't do anything but add BP gains, but it adds them in all categories, basically like a streamers BP offering if you can get enough unhook/protection stacks.

Synchronized crouch dancing with Ghostface in front of a first-hooked Survivor while Pizza Time plays.

Honestly this is the only answer I accept because it's the one and only thing you can do as a survivor that's actually fulfilling and fun.

We're gonna live forever + Borrowed Time = double BP
