Favourable change in the new chapter

Everybody is complaining about Felix's perks, how useless they are. Actually,

Desperate Measures and Built To Last are pretty dope perks in my opinion, not he best ones, but there are some potential decent builds you can create adding these.

But I have to admit, Visionary is nearly useless, I have heard others saying it's a worse version of Deja Vu and Detective's Hunch. Being able to see generator's aura is not a big deal, experienced gamers are totally aware of the gens' locations. Maybe the new players can take full advantage of it, but after a while it would be useless for them too. I'm pretty sure many people share the same thoughts...

But hear me out. What about keeping the aura reading ability but with a little twisted change. Survivors who are running this perk would differentiate generators' progress according to the intensity of their auras (in a given range of course), thus they can plan forward which generator should they approach and progress. Maybe survivors would see when a generator explodes, it can help them avoid that area for a while. A little bit longer cooldown isn't a big deal after all.

What do you think about this idea? Would it make the perk more useable? Or do you think it would be OP/Unbalanced?

Sounds cool, might actually make a nice niche perk.

I'd be into that. Can't see myself using it much but it's much more appealing.

Right? I was thinking about this since it came out, but i was not quite sure if it would make sense u know

it does become easy finding gens eventually, but I noticed during the mmr bork there were lots of new players because they were posting on steam discussions about the matchmaking. So those sort of perks exist for them, gotta retain some new players to replace the ones who leave over time. The perk I'm interested in is the one with iirc 14% unhooking speed to go with wglf and maybe replace BT for when I need bloodpoints. Ye, it's selfish, but with my current matching recently against only red rank killers (maybe due to lower rank killer shortage?) and roughly ten minute queues when not longer sometimes on some nights if it continues into the new chapter I'm gonna need something to keep me going since no matter how fast and instant killer queue is now for me I don't have fun playing killer in this game.

The perk is fine. I'm getting a little tired of the selfish comments about its use - it isn't for you. Nor is Zanshin Tactics, nor is Windows of Opportunity. It is a training perk and should be treated as such. Is is stupid that it's coming out on a DLC character? Yes, but they all are on DLC characters. Just because they are worthless to you doesn't make them worthless.

You are the first one I see, who says it is fine. It's not about being selfish, I know Dead by Daylight is not meant to be for one person only. It is a huge game with a huge community and the majority has spoken, even the popular streamers said Visionary is completely useless. I'm just only making some ideas how it would be a better and more used perk, coming up with ideas is not forbidden as far as I know. If this makes you mad, I'm sorry take a chill pill and avoid discussions like this ;)

I don't find Felix perks useless like many others, which is a false statement.

Felix perks are mostly different versions of already existing perks, and unlike Steve perks, you can actually make a use to some of them.

However, would this change (allowing you to determine repair progress based on the intensity of their auras within a, say, 16m/24m/32m range, and then removing the cooldown of the perk) remove it's use as a training wheel perk? I think it'd be only beneficial- it retains the ability to provide much needed information to newer players whilst also becoming an invaluable solo-q perk.

You can be chill and disgusted at the same time. Admittedly I was taking every complaint I have seen into account when I posted that, which isnt fair, but at the same time... Screw this community. People call things worthless because they are worthless to them - that really is the definition of selfish.

I think its really underpowered at the moment, and i think its a great idea if for example you can see the killer when he is in a 5 meter radius of any gen within 24 meters, or something like that

Seeing if somebody explodes a gen isnt really usefull.

This statement is why I wished, even for each chapter event, the devs rearranged spawn locations. For everything especially generators. It's now 4 anniversaries, and running to gens are stagnant objectives anymore. I feel this is actually why it can feel like gen rushing is a thing. Everyone experienced just knows where to generally go.

You are talking on an individual level, but what I’m saying is it’s not a one person problem. Think about it like democracy. Most of the people have a problem, so it is sentenced and they want a change, and this is the same case with a different wrapping around it. I admit the community is not the best but saying “screw everyone” doesn’t make you the best person out of the whole.

and still. This is just an innocent discussion about the perk, i dont want to involve more into it :)

That’s another approach and also good! Well, yea the explosion thing is not a game changer, but a small detail which doesnt hurt anyone. Its situational

I just really hope they dont leave it as it is right now, my idea could be overpowered, but at least it isnt useless like how it is rn
