I was excited for the new Jane outfit until I saw this...

same :( i bought it anyway since i main Jane and have all her cosmetics, but i wish i could swap the head around at least.
her lead actress head from the second rift would look so good with the Greek goddess outfit!

It's really stupid cause you'd think they could atleast let you take the head but just leave the body cause they don't want clipping, oh well not buying it.
6 -
It's pretty scummy to not let you select, mix and match cosmetics you payed for however you want. Outfits are dumb if they can't be mixed and matched.

I agree, we paid for it, we should have the choice to make our characters look as stupid/cool/cute/ugly as we want them to.
Set cosmetics are a terrible idea and i hope they don't keep releasing them.

lets be fair here, as much as it sucks that they are linked, the PH skins look sick af.

I'm only getting one of these that it that Alessa Gillespie that it.

The Silent Hill ones makes sense (go yell at Konami for those)
Anything else is disappointing, wanted my Shirtless Mascot Clown (would've even used some of my cells) but i'll just not buy anything instead I guess.

People accusing Sets for money making don’t really understand the whole point of all cosmetics, do they?
as for Janes cosmetic, well you have all the facts before you buy it and can decide if it is worth it for you or not. I agree that the head seems like something that could have been delinked but it’s not as bad or evil as people make it out to be

Just cause you don't like them doesn't mean no one likes them. I quite like the sets, actually.

Me with both pyramid sets.
I like the design

"We paid for it so we should be able to mix and match it"
You paid for a product that clearly states it's a set, you weren't forced to spend money on it.

it can still be disappointing though, I didn't buy it (glad i didn't). I understand legendary skins like Lisa, but this is overkill.

Not really, Davids & Fengs are mix and match, and they have (at least from my experience) far more people playing those characters than Jane.
It's because it's a dress and I guess the devs are kind of bored of fixing clipping issues with skirts / dress tops because of mixing and matching odd shaped outfit pieces.

Yeah, I'd have have bought the head. I'm not feeling the actual dress though.

As I said myself I can’t understand it kn this case either, and being disappointed and giving feedback is totally okay and actually needed, my comment was it directed to you.
i just don’t understand people that accuse BHVR for trying to make money out of Sets... when pretty much every cosmetic is purchasable via money and if many people wouldn’t buy sets over separated outfits it actually hinders them of getting money..

You paid for it, but you know in advance that you will not be able to mix those Cosmetics. So you know what you get. If you still buy it then, you cannot complain afterwards with "I paid for it, so let me use them for mix&match".
@Topic:
I think Sets are fine. They remove clipping issues and allow for some things which were not possible before. And as long as the majority of Cosmetics are separate pieces, I am all fine with it.

I mean we paid for the game as well that doesnt mean we can just do whatever we want either. There are limitations on everything. You should know what you pay for and if you dont think what you pay for is worth it. You really shouldn't buy it.

I think sets are mostly fine.
The only thing that bugs me (apart from the price) is when a certain piece of the outfit would've looked good/fine pairing it with other cosmetics. For example Jane's new hairstyle or the dress as a whole.
I wonder if we'll ever get sets that aren't completely linked (only 2 pieces linked)?

You already gave them real money for the cells, so this mini protest doesn't really work.

The idea of sets is that they are quick and cheap to make since there is no need to test for clipping. Interchangeable sets are a problem because the more they add the more they need to test each time getting more and more expensive (or limiting to save time) to make. You better believe if people keep supporting full sets that he ratio of sets vs mix will quickly sway towards sets.
I understand linked sets for things like Oni, but unless it is exceptionally elaborate or a one piece dress with no waist, i can't justify it being a set.

I only bought a set for Cheryl and it was because I didn't know what the symbol meant. I like to mix and match the clothes, so I'm avoiding to buy anything else that is a set or else in the future they will be all over the place and the old mix and match will be dead.

You can defend it idc, doesn't make you objectively right. It's all a matter of opinion.
I'm never gonna buy set cosmetic cause they ruin player expression and the reasons for not allowing mixing and matching is pretty arbitrary.
0 -
Then dont buy them. But dont say "I paid money for it so I should be able to mix&match" when its quite clear that you will not be able to do that.

I'll say what I like, we can agree to disagree. If a consumer pays for a product that they had work one way and then they made it where we're no longer able to do that for the next thing that works the same way it's a problem imo.

I’m literally in a game with a Nea that has the graffiti mask mixed with other clothes... obviously took steps to achieve that

I cropped the names but if BHVR doesn’t actively seek out and Ban people that make custom icons etc then why should this be any different. Personally I didn’t agree with cosmetic customization even before the non mixable sets. Like Kate’s pink hat.. I like it but I’d love the option to remove it once in awhile too..
Or Feng’s demon backpack. I’d really like the option to remove it.
I love dbd and BHVR but to be as blunt as possible I buyers remorse on most of the dlc characters and perks that came along. I was excited for Bruce Campbell but then you see that he had zero love put into him it’s easy to see it was just a quick little money grab. Just my opinion.

i can understand the body and legs being linked as its a full body dress but the heads of these cosmetics and the weapons of the killers linked cosmetics don't make sense
