oh! I just realized I can tell who 4-man SWF teams are now!

Zero globes (and all load in at the same time) = SWF!

(odds are very low that that there would be zero "other platform" globes otherwise)

    Its your imagination.

EDIT: killer can dodge a lobby and you will get into full room of survivors.

Had it often in SWF that I loaded up to 5 seconds later into the lobby than my friends.

Had it often as solo that I was the first survivor joining a lobby with a ready-up killer and having 3 other survivors joined within a second.

    Countered

I have no idea where the exact post is, but on PC we had crossplay long before it was implemented for console and that's how it always worked

Plus, picture this: I have crossplay on and I get in a lobby with someone who has crossplay off (from my same platform), now since this guy doesn't want to play with other platforms it's like I have crossplay off as well, and I have to wait more to find a game because of a random guy with crossplay off

It would make sense to match that guy only with people with crossplay off

I received a warning, because survivors dont have a right to dodge poor or broken games. Whats more funny it was instant something they call "3rd lvl warning". Must be the first and the last warning for thinking the way killers think.

Who is insulted, you? You dont like when people judge you when you dodge games?

Hey, mods, now a killer is telling me that dodging is right. Give this guy level 3 warning, too, or its bs. xD

Anyway, no matter which side devs or mods prefer to support, the end game chat, likely, will stay the same or become worse. I guess, being salty has become a habit. :^)

Do people realize not all SWFs are on comms, are amazingly good, etc. it’s really just to have fun with your friends. Try hards exist on both sides, it SWF shouldn’t instill fear like it does to so many

I could take my time to rephrase your exact statement to my purpose but that joke is old.

I am a midrank killer-only player. I don't tunnel or camp (sry just boring standing around). But if I use a shroud or God forbid a Mori for my daily ritual I get several DC and the survivor expecting me to let them have this game or they dive into me to suicide. Great fun.

I know many killer tunnel with a Mori, I don't, but even if I play for fun they dodge. This argument, like most, goes both ways and noone is truly right.

And noone will really break this established loop of thinking that the other side will be just as toxic as in the last game.

A player is no more entitled to avoid SWF than another player is entitled to avoid killers, perks or maps they dislike though.

    AvisDeene Member Posts: 2,396

Never said they were. But the justification for wanting to avoid people who cheat (SWF are cheating) is greater than DCing because you don’t like a specific map or Killer.

  • AvisDeene
    AvisDeene Member Posts: 2,396

When people complain about SWF, it’s usually the tryhard teams who go out of their way to bully a Killer to the best of their ability and act as toxic as possible.

And yes, tryhards are on both sides, which is why matchmaking needs to be improved, so they could be matched against each other and not with the average players.

It is cheating. The game isn’t designed for communication between Survivors. It isn’t an “excuse”. The only reason the Devs allow it is because they know they’ll lose a good chunk of revenue if they took it out of them game.

They've said it's always designed to be there and voice chat isn't cheating , quit making excuses for your decision not to play against it , it holds no value when the devs have already discredited everything you've said, am I denying there's an advantage? No but it's definitely not cheating no matter how many times you say it

  • AvisDeene

Gaining an advantage from outside of the game that allows players to get free information without the use of in game abilities is cheating. It is literally having an extra perk slot or two.

Stop justifying your inability to properly play the game fairly. And no, it wasn’t always designed to be apart of the game, if it was then the Devs would have implemented an in game communications for Survivors and balanced the game around it.

Again, the only reason they don’t punish it is because of money.

I play the game solo or swf and I also don't dodge a swf when I play killer rank 1 on PC , I'd say playing campfire simulator Everytime you "think" someone is in a swf isn't playing the game properly, if you want bots that are a easy 4k go play training mode on mobile

My view is simple if other people can Disconnect from the game without penalty (often de-pipping me in the process), I should have the right to leave the lobby before the game actually starts. Sometimes I forgot something. Sometimes I want to go to the Shrine. Sometimes I don't like the look of the Team. If I get a warning for choosing to leave before a game even starts, while they let people off for D/C, I would simply find another game.

Well yeah, while I completely agree with you on the swf angle, I have to say about comparing DC between survivor or killer doing it, the killer ones are worse per person.

As an example you have a game of soccer with a few people. If one of them leaves (1 survivor) the game continuos but when the kid owning the ball quits noone can play(the killer quits/dodges).

Same in dbd, a survivor DC's and the game continuous with an advantage for the killer and less fun for everyone involved. Once the killer quits or dodges noone can play.

Well I can say this because I play killer only and only left once because the survivor were abusing an exploit in form of an old and by now patched fat-shaming spot.

Only real reasons to DC are real life problem/emergencies, hacker or exploiter and a game held hostage (again impossible for me because I am the killer).

Tbh you don't really need a "real reason" to leave because it's a video game and not a job. I play mostly killer and I leave all the time if the match is just unpleasant. I don't have a lot of time to play because, you know, I have an actual full time job outside of dbd, so I'm not going to sit through a crappy match of people clicking flashlights at the back of my head & waste the small amount of time I have to work with.

  • burt0r
    burt0r Member Posts: 4,163

Well good for you, I also have a job but at the same I feel a kind of obligation when I start a game with other people to finish the round so it won't suck for the others.

But that is obviously a personal thing seeing as most people see it like you do.

I also have the expectation from my self not to be toxic and not play scummy. I learned not to expect anything from others but I feel better knowing that I behaved like I expected from others.

But this all might be me being numbed from playing league of legends for 10 years, who knows.

What about the fact you can swf on different platforms.

2 globes 2 non could still be 4 swf.

Stop worrying about who's swf and who's not and play the ######### game.

Wait couldn't it still be a swf with a globe, might have a friend on console.

Placebo effect. You think console survivors are not friends (for some odd reason). The odds are they are more likely friends. It probably won't be long now before they remove the globe. They honestly should tell killers who were friends at the end screen.

You'll know if you're up against a good SWF once they start outplaying you at every turn as if they are performing ballet. It's ridiculous, I know, but just go along for the ride. Open the door, run them out and hope next time will be better. Which it probably will.

So you really think that having cross play working how you think it works makes sense?

Call it a guess, I'm just saying that that is how it worked on PC between Steam and Windows Store, I don't see why they would implement it in a different way
