For awhile, Plague use to be my main, I really enjoyed infecting survivors and I really liked how the meta was to not heal against her. Her dual powers really made my games feel different with her, because I was never sure which strategy the survivors would take and everyone seemed to develop their own opinion on how to best counter her and teams would fall into chaos.

I got back in the mood for it, thought I might just play her solely for a bit, but the introduction of a free corrupt seems to have changed her meta, based off my two dozen games at rank 3. Everybody seems to just yolo to a fountain and cleanse.

Im not sure if this is because a corrupt is already in play so ‘you can’t blame me attitude’ or Plagues are just rare enough that people don’t care to play against her any differently then normal. I just wanted a small discussion to any Kilkers playing Plague on what I can expect now a days and whether any survivors still opt to run broken then give the killer access to a strong power.

    It depends on the survivor team. Never play plague hoping that they'll play one way or the other.

    Usually when one survivor cleanses, everyone else does. Sometimes no one cleanses. It's upto the plague to adapt to the situation. But since she starts with a corrupt fountain, a lot of survivors resort to cleansing and dealing with corrupt rather than remain broken.

    Not cleansing against Plague is as boring as DBD gets. "Oh, wow, it's an m1 killer with no power BUT instadowns. How fun and interactive. Let's rush gens and leave before we run out of pallets to instantly drop."

    Then you go and cleanse against her and it's actually Interesting - she gets a powerful ability, you have to loop in a different way, and you get to see the salt from your teammates that think sitting on gens is fun gameplay.

    I just hope hit validation has fixed her power - I've played a few games now and it seems okay, but I was also going against survivors with good ping. I just want to main my favourite killer again without damaging my mental health with all those robs.

    Pretty unrelated, but I remember one of the 4 year anniversary loading quotes es (bring them back!) mentioned how they were thinking of implementing her puke. I think it'd be such a fun addon to give her a "shotgun" puke.

    After the cross play introduction, it seems her meta changed from "never cleanse" to "yolo".

    What actually happened to her? When she first came out I feel like her power was more consistent and reliable but recently when I have tried to use her the aim on her power is horrendous I struggle badly to even infect survivors. Any answers to that?

    This, survivors literally control her power to the point they can remove it if they wish.

    Her Puke does not aim correctly currently. It got fixed on the PTB, so should be fixed on Live with Chapter 17.

    That was one of the design ideas. It didn't make it into the final design. Would of been neat though.
