Lol devs, you disabled mmr, but you still kep killer lock? LOL why did you keep it? Simple question, just asking.

Two different systems, from what I read. Killer lock was implemented before the MMR change. Not sure why they don't disable it as well, though.

Because mmr is still going to come back

I think the lock is part from the files, they can't change that online, but MMR sytem is implemented in their servers and they can change it anytime

I think the killer lock is a permanent change that they want you to be used to, because MMR is coming back. Better to not have to hear people cry about it a second time.

most for the MMR each killer having they own rank.

Because they probably still have it running in the background trying to isolate the issue.

MMR isn't affecting matchmaking, but I am absolutely willing to bet that it is still gathering data in the background for its rerelease.

Im sure this is the reason they didnt disable Killer lock.

Dude you say that but it makes sense for killers to still be having recording for MMR so when it's back they have the correct survivors and not curbstomp noobs and it's more complicated to record on the survivors side so there doing background work before restarting the MMR

They said they'd have to make you update the game to release the Killer lock.
And that'd be kinda useless since they're bringing back MMR soon™, so you'd have to update the game for the lock again.

@redsopine00 killer queues have been faster than never, and its about to be ruined.

Devs already commented on this a few days ago. It's because it would require a client update and they need it to still be there when they turn MMR back on.

Where did they say that?

I'm not sure on the exact post but it was just a few days ago

MMR is coming back, no way they'd work on it that long to just throw it away. I'm not saying it should come back or shouldn't but the devs are set in there ways.
They can be condescending with there tone in regards to what's best for the game. It was surprising that they reverted mmr in the first place.

This was a damned chore to find, had to go back 16 forum pages looking at Dev replied threads. Anyway, here it is:

Ok but why do Survivors still have the last second swap but the killers don't?

Idk, no one but the devs know for sure.

because certain players being able to enjoy the game is super low on their to-do list (*cough*colorblindsettings*cough*)

@Kind_Lemon true!

It was suppose to be gathering data in the background 1 month "before" the MMR was turned on. We all know how well that went. It probably needs more data to place people in their respective ranks so I do believe it is still running.
