Question for survivor mains.
It's not camping if your entire team decides to loop around your hook, blame them not me.
But serious question, do you consider camping if your entire team is trying to unhook you in front of me?? (the killer)
when I barely hooked a survivor, all were there and one tried looping in a pallet that was right there were the recently hooked survivor was.

No.
If the survivors keep swarming hooks while you haven't even moved 2 feet away, then they are fair game. We've asked for a 'kick in the face' option for these types of players because it is stupidly frustrating to see them do the lemming dance while I'm hanging up there and i feel no sympathy if they get downed in the pursuit of stupid plays.

you're asking a rhetorical rep bait question
you know the answer already

Question in return. Why are you, the killer, not at all satisfied with taking an easy hook trade?
It progresses your objective further and can make survivors cautious about going for unhooks.
3 -
Sadly people don't get it, you understand it doesn't mean that people see it that way.
I'm really surprised they haven't come up with something like that, I understand that people would troll with it but there are some players that prefer not to get farmed.

I try to be as fair as possible, and well if they do it is fine but they shouldn't be talking ######### to the killer if that was your team the one that messed everything up.
1 -
Because hook-trading is bad gameplay and will often make you lose, especially if "trader" has a couple of "fair" perks up their sleeves.
It also doesn't progress your objective very much at all, and has the opposite effect on survivors: People will just rush the hook because they think you won't do anything about it. That is the surest way to have as little map pressure as possible, since half of pressuring the map is entirely in the survivors heads.
4 -
Yes, it's camping. Once you hook a survivor you're supposed to go to the opposite corner of the map, find a survivor, and chase them. You are not allowed to go for the unhooker. You may only chase the unhooked survivor if they have DS, in which case you must pick them up.
(Is this the answer you were looking for? Your question was incredibly loaded, it seems like you already know the answer.)
4 -
Let me ask you a counter-question. Are you still on the map? If so, then its camping.
1 -
Forgot about that lol nice answer.

Because the survivors looping around the hook, they're "survivor mains"?
1 -
You would be surprised how many survivors actually think this.

Gens go, and fast. 7 hook trades in total of 30/1 minutes will make you lose the match, always
1 -
I do it all the time and haven't really "lost" yet. Even if I get no kills, I can still get a Brutal or Relentless.

100% disagree.
The thing is with being a Pig main is that the RBT is EXACTLY the tool to not care about people abusing perks like DS. If they have a trap, you slug. They use their one use of Unbreakable to get back up? They have now wasted it.
0 -
4 unbreakables during a whole trial are insane, and people don't realise how strong it is until 4 survivors use it always.
1 -
Not a survivor main but I was in an SWF with a friend and I can tell you 100% some players actually consider anything camping.
The random Bill was hanging out right next to our other friend’s hook so of course Billy wasn’t leaving. He knew Bill was there.
Our friend not on hook started complaining. I’m the only one with Kindred so I told him straight up, “Bill is by hook. Of course he’s going to stay. How is that camping?”
His response was, “I would call it proxy camping.”
That’s when I learned the survivor rule book isn’t just a meme. Some people truly believe ######### like the killer should not stay by a hook for any reason.

You already know the answer.

I guess you could call it camping, but if so it's camping caused by survivors. As a survivor main the overwhelming majority of my frustrations with this game have to do with other survivors. I sometimes feel like I'm playing against 4 people even as a survivor because I have to overcome the stupid and/or selfish play of the other 3 survivors while eluding the killer.

love to kick survivor in the face as survivor.

No, if my teammates wanna be idiots and swarm my hook, then I'mma just say, "Have fun with your Barbeque, mind sharing the roasted limbs of my teammates."
But seriously, if someone says that's camping, they have half a braincell. This has happened to me during numerous occasions when I do solo queue, so I give the killer a gg when I die and go about my day.

No survivor thinks this. I've been playing for years and I've only heard killer mains say that mocking non existent survivors.
1 -
Yes, it is camping. BUT it's camping that isn't your fault. You're essentially being forced to camp because of that moron looping you by hook. Survivors HATE other survivors who do that and I can't tell you how many times I've had to correct a survivor at the end of the game after they get me killed.
Now it would be nice and epic gamer of you to go after the looper and not tunnel the victim of the looper. Technically it wasn't the hooked persons fault and it's sorta cruel to not even let them fight to survive.
1 -
You're one of them. Your joke like mentality of how killers should play.
0 -
I had to stop playing in a SWF with some people because they thought like this. They got mad at killers for slugging, playing Nurse, or mindgaming them, & then would go on to brag about winning in post-game chat.
As a survivor main, I rarely ever get mad at killers for how they play, only the survivors for allowing killers to play that way. Camping, tunneling, slugging, etc. are all legit strategies, which survivors each have valid counters to.

Then I want your survivors. Ever since crossplay was enabled, the meta in my region has become "bum rush the gens." Which, whilst always an issue, had become almost every game regardless of the skill of either side. Unless the killer is winning, taking trades usually wastes too much time and gives them no pressure. Either way, it is a little entitled to think that the killer should just let people go, especially since it's their teammate that is to blame in the majority of situations.

Aus Sydney. I normally play on Xbox, but I've also been caught up with other games and my killer rank't tanked a bit.
Still faced teams with two reds and a purple and killed it. I think it's more of a case of random than SWF.

Then I don't know what's going on. I'm in Northland NZ, so we're on the same servers, but I can definitely confirm that the average IQ of my teammates and opponents has gone up in the generator department ever since crossplay released. It's like everyone started proving that they could do gens. I have to be ruthless in the early/mid game to even stand a chance, or I just have no map pressure. That means punishing farms and leaving them on the ground to pick themselves up, because that's just the meta.
0 -
Damn. If we're on the same servers, then maybe I've versed you.
Ever had a P3 Yui or a biker Kate go by the name Reaper Andross?
0 -
Not that I can remember. I mostly play around late evening/midnight, mostly as Kate by the name Redshirt (Bloody slip dress, jeans and ponytail.) But the only time I remember names is when I'm playing Ghostface, so we totally might have played together.

I did that, went for the looper and then when I downed him and hooked him, saw 1 behind a tree and heard one trying to stay behind me thinking that I couldn't hear her (it was a Feng so I call her a her), gave the recently hooked survivor a chance to refresh because she hit stage 2 at 5 gens.
I really didn't knew that survivors also hated other survivors that play like that, I mean it makes sense.
No, I was asking to survivor mains if they think what happened to me was called camping or stupidity, most have answered that it is camping but caused by dumb survivors.
0 -
3/4 accused me of camping, 1 was a crossplayer so he/she probably didn't knew about it, and it's not just about the accusation it's mostly because of the excessive use of....... Trying to belittle someone? I think that is the word.

Just look here and it answers your question.🤔

Yesterday I got hooked, another guy was right there and got downed next to the hook. The other two survivors were also sitting around the hook, against a billy. They got downed and we lost. After the game they called the killer a camper. 🙃
Survivors do think like this. It's crazy, because they gave him literally no reason to leave the hook. No one working on a gen, no one far enough away to trigger BBQ, some survivors are just stupid and want a free unhook even when the killer has no reason to leave.
1 -
I understand, and it sucks some people are so entitled, they feel the need to belittle another person calling them a camper. Sometimes (usually with new players) they do this to try and force them to fit this narrative. And within it, sometimes the killer will question themself, "Am I camping?" And it's sad they have to do that because survivor mains can be toxic. I used to be hella toxic, but after playing killer a bit, I hated it happening to me, so I cut back on my toxicity.
