Community tier list survey
we all love tier lists but as we all know the ones made individually tend to be biased as hell based on the players experiences so i made one for the community to fill out.
S = Strong (you know who goes here)
A = Advantaged (killers with strong/oppressive powers but can still be played around)
B+ = Balanced but better (killers that are almost in A but are held back by one thing like maps/items/perks etc.)
B = Balanced (Can perform decently in almost every situation)
C = counterd (playable but has weaknesses)
D = Disadvantaged (for if you are a masochist or like being the underdog)
i will do a follow up post in a week tallying the results
please take this seriously and be aware it doesn't count multiple applications from them same device

So, what are we basing this off? Base power with no perks or add-ons, or full power Huntress with Iri Heads, Infantry Belt and all the usual perks?
Kind of important to specify with this.

That's actually quite a good idea. It won't really be accurate, but it'll at least show overall concepts. And, perhaps, highlight reasons behind the decisions.

Looking forward to seeing the results. Tier lists are often pretty biased, and I think tend to swing with bigger streamer's opinions too. For instance, I give Pig a B+. I know most are gonna throw her into C or D though.

Gave my answers. Hope no one gives killers D tier since no killer deserves to be there. Every killer in this game is at least C tier if played by a good player.

Agreed. There's even one streamer I like a lot, but swears up and down she's just not good. Yet if we go see how Scorpion does with her, he proves otherwise.
I don't think everyone is going to be good with every killer. Pig is just pretty different.

She is. She's also the perfect counter to the current survivor meta.
And your streamer sounds terrible. I've demolished teams with her without breaking a sweat!

true, but there are limits to how well you can do based on what killer you play as due to power limitations ie. a good clown vs an ok clown is not that big of a difference as the power is so one dimensional whilst a good trapper vs an ok trapper has a much larger difference. and besides this is more about the peoples general opinions on killers not the actual performances of each killers with there best perks and addons.

I’m really excited to see how they end up ranked.
Every killer is viable in every rank, so if there’s a new player that wandered in, don’t be discouraged by what people say about any killers.
Some killers just don’t have as much going for them as others so need some assistance from specific types of perks. Clown and gen pressure for instance.

Would it be fair to assume that this tier list is based on playing as/against these killers on relatively balanced/non-biased maps (such as Coal Tower)?
Because even the strongest killers in the game have some maps where their powers are either useless, or so glitchy as to be useless (think Nurse on Yamaoka/Midwich, Hillbilly on Lery's, or Wraith on Blood Lodge).
Or the opposite; some killers can be extra-oppressive on maps that allow them to use their powers more freely (Oni on Rotten Fields, Doctor on The Game, or Huntress on Temple of Purgation).

The problem is people base their tiers off a few factors so it's hard to make a proper tier list without any rules. I always consider a killers tier based off a good killer playing them, with their best perks. Some others base it off best add-ons included or no perks and add-ons.

I agree, I play Jigsaw a lot and when I read some complains like "RBTs are crap they never kill people" I cant help it but facepalm hard. She is very RNG dependant tho, bad RNG and you got a problem, good RNG and Survivors got a problem, decent RNG its a fair match.

Here is my ranking based on my play style as killer & as a survivor with personal opinion ,play skills and going against said killer as a solo with 1 friend maximum with randoms....randoms will cause this to be strewed vs as a swf simce i dont play with a full swf(1st at top is trapper btw)

Just my opinion overall as mentioned?
Combination of playstyle,how powerful they are,how often i run against them and survival rate and how i fair using and going against.
Example is huntress
I dont like huntress and only use for rituals but i use op perks and i survive and i feel i survive 50/50
Another example is michael as i love to run tombstone
But i favor death than surviving against when running against
3rd example As trapper i just run through people left and right and i feel more favor as surviving against
4th example is pig,im pretty good all the way around but can 4k easily with my style
Now with all that said with all 4 i see more trapper of the 4 but not many tombstone michaels....may be hard to see my views but its jmo

Examples are
Trapper...i rekt people with agitation,iron grasp,mad grip(sometimes with trail of tormemt but is genrally how i feel) with purple bar and purple bag and placem in basement..i favor suvival slightly depending on randoms,if i die its because of something not accounted for.i see trapper quite abit and perks used with trapper are pretty wide ranged
Huntress..i dont really like huntress because playstyle and i only use op perks(purple belt+ird),i usaully just play her for just rituals unless on a whim to change it up and i favor 50% survive and death depending on add ons and i see the huntress somewhat more than others
Michael.. i pretty much use tombstone michael but can use other perks and i know how to use imo but i favor survival going against but the randos usaully die :/
Pig,...im pretty good as pig but dont use her as much and i favor survival against.dont see her much either
Oni/nurse.... i dont like anything basically,i skip rituals and the amount of times i played against is probaly the least favoring nurse but i favor survival big time
....i find oni hard far as escaping after a hit..almost like a 1 trick pony

I did a similar thing. Hard to verse/ease of a 4k. Primarily focused around base kit, but small leniency for killers like Wraith who need add-ons/improved out of sight by them.

I did this assuming that complete gameplay changing addons like Iris head+Infantry belt Huntress, Double Iris Piece Doctor, Fragrant Tuft Tombstone Meyers or Yaku Amulet+Mother/Daughter Ring Spirit were off the table on an average sized killer sided outdoor map. Of course it's personal preference but I can back up my claims for the most part even if the most popular streamers and gamers might disagree with my assessments. I also tried to use the entire tier list meaning D tier is still viable but slightly weaker than those killers above them, if I wanted to be "fair" to each killer then I would've been forced to only use S through B+ which homogenizes the tiers.
S Tier - Oni, Executioner, Spirit
A Tier - Cannibal, Hillbilly, Huntress, Hag, Nightmare, Nurse
B+ Tier - Deathslinger, Plague, Legion, Ghostface, Shape
B Tier - Demogorgon, Doctor, Wraith
C Tier - Pig, Trapper
D Tier - Clown

Call me a stickler, but I think the tier descriptions need a little redoing.
I'm reading them, but struggling to fit Killers into them.
Example, "C = counterd (playable but has weaknesses)"; I thought most Killers have weaknesses? Or is this a tier where the weaknesses start to outweigh the strengths?

c is where there counterd to the point where there power does not matter in the long run, the killer can perform ok but there power has a built in down side or there is a strategy that survivors can easily do in most matches to deal with there power. like how with trapper you can just disarm his traps and he becomes a plain m1 killer

I used to rank Insta Saw Billy up there with Omega Blink Nurse back in the day since getting sawed in half when the exact situation today would at best result in an M1 is ridiculously strong.
Current Oni running the Green Addon Scalped Topknot (Reduces Demon Dash charge from 2s to 1s - which is MASSIVE if you consider many other killer's run things that reduce windups by as little as .25seconds) makes him able to smash survivors with even minimal mind gaming space - the window for a survivor to escape the bat is VERY slim to nonexistent especially if the Oni knows how to Flick and understand his ranges. Combine that with a purple addon Lion Fang for maximum Blood Fury duration (You can even get away with the other duration increasing addons too) and your ONLY condition is to get that initial ball rolling by hitting survivors.
The non-heal meta to try and power gens actually helps you maintain your snowball and tracking even better - reaching a critical state of blood orbs where you just constantly have your fury up. Forcing survivors to heal actually plays into your snowballing as well since demon bat instant downs is even more valuable if they spent time healing one another. It's a no-win situation unless they completely shut you down from the start by preventing a single wound while you're a basic M1 killer.
The thing is even if the survivors do an amazing job and split and do generators AT best you have 2.5~3 gens done before you start your first power if you are playing properly - if you are running these two addons it's actually very possible to end even the most coordinated teams (albeit quite a bit harder) and generate additional power.
The only real way a great Oni loses matches are unfavorable indoor map conditions with verticality (though not impossible), basically going into the 3.5~4.5 gens done stage before getting any sort of snowball rolling in which case it's just too late no matter if you can end chases within seconds or not. Unbreakable + DS is powerful but literally will not result in situations where you can't just gather more blood and wreck them over and over again once. Now move onto the average team? They don't even know what happened when the entire team is on hooks while they barely finished 1~2 gens.
Last thing for perks: Infectious Fright (Cannot be replaced - the value of this is too high on making the most of Blood Fury). I personally always run Pop goes the Weasel over Hex: Ruin due to RNG of totem placement - do not run Surge as it does not work with your Demon Bat. Corrupt Intervention to increase your chances to start your ball rolling (The competitive counterplay against Oni running this perk is to just fully immerse all 4 survivors until this runs out but your matchmaking games WILL NOT do this 99% of the time), M&A is a popular alternative here though I personally don't use it. The last one I prefer running Whispers but this requires good spatial awareness of ingame distances to be the best. Discordance is the popular alternative for this to keep a good tab on what to pressure - down near there Pop after the hook.
P.S. Obviously there is personal bias here but while Stridor Spirit and even PH is easier to use than him - Oni rivals them for top tier for me with a higher skill floor.
