Dear fellow survivors...
Hello. It's me again. Your friendly altruistic survivor who runs We'll Make It, Borrowed Time, and For the People
When I pull you off a hook and the killer is across the map somewhere chasing someone (which I know because I see the obsession icon wiggling and which you SHOULD know because you're on hook and can see everyone), it would be lovely if yall would stop running all the way to Jupiter before you stop to let me heal you when I can heal you in 8 seconds or less on the spot and we can both be on our way.
And then half the time when we get to the spot where you want to heal, NOW the killer is in the area and I don't have time to heal you any more. I would like to save your life but I'm tired of risking my own and wasting time in the process.
K thanks, bye.
Yours truly,
The altruistic survivor.
p.s. When people immediately use sprint burst from the hook, I don't follow them anymore

SoloQ struggles.

To be fair to the SoloQ survivor, my people are so used to others making selfish and unsafe saves that get us immediately murdered again that we instinctively bolt away when unhooked :D

There's no point running altruistic perks in solo que other than bragging rights. Actually being altruistic? Yeah, no kidding that's the right play. Til some absolute arse DC's as you pull them off the hook, which literally happened to me as I was typing this post.

What's worse is saving someone, and then it turns out they were afk.and theyre just stood there by the hook doing nothing.

The problem with that is most survivors aren't running the build you are running, and we have no way to know who's running what build. In other words the majority of the time it's going to be in my best interest to get some distance between me and that hook as quickly as possible. So, while it may indeed be in my best interest to stand there if someone like you unhooked me the odds are not in my favor that is the case, and I have no way to know. That means I'm going to go with the much higher probability that the person who unhooked me isn't running your build.

Dear Fellow Survivors,
Please disregard everything in the OP and continue running as far away from the hook as possible. The Killer will always double back to Kill you if you stay and heal, and the Hook has cooties as well.
Sincerely,
Definitely Not a Killer

We'll make it adds a buff symbol for you when you are pulled off the hook. That's the one you want to look out for, because it means they can heal you WAY faster than usual. That's the ONLY time i stay at the hook to be healed as long as the killer is otherwise occupied.
2 -
Oh dang i forgot about the cooties.
You right. Disregard XD

I usually get downed first when the killer comes back and you're pinning me to the ground with your attempt to "help" me so it's not entirely unjustified.

Wait a minute. Are you telling me there is some sort of symbol that indicates when the person pulling you from the hook has healing buffs? I've been playing this game a long time and didn't know that.
0 -
Yup, bottom right next to your perks. That's where all your debuffs and buff effects from things like prove thyself and we'll make it show up. Debuffs red, buffs blue. I believe it's to do with the status effect HuD

Sorry, my "W" button is broken.

I always run botany and so I tbag after unhooking so they know to stay and get healed. Hell even if we cut it close I'll take the hit. But tell me why I've had so many red ranks run from the hook directly into the direction the killer went after they were hooked? Like why...

They’re hoping the Killer will take a swipe at you and cause your pants to malfunction so they can see the goods. Maybe?

I knew those things appeared there. I guess I've always been in too big a hurry trying to get away from the hook to look at that time. Good to know. Would have been good to know a long time ago, but at least I learned it now. Thanks for the info

All the time. If I struggle on first hook, i just let go. Unless there's a face camping Bubba. there's no reason for 3 people to not make an attempt to save

when it comes to Bubba it true.

Ew, really tho... the remnants of all the survivor’s dirty, sweaty, smelly clothes who were sacrificed in sooo many previous trials, jus stuck to that stale, blood encrusted rusty hook. Those things look like they’d be super stinky... there’s definitely some kinda slimy creatures creepin’ around on the hooks

Lately I've been feeling like whenever I play with randoms I get at least 2 killers in the game. People don't heal me, don't let me heal them, don't do gens, brings killers to those doing gens or just wanna farm your hook for points.
I get the struggle

If I book it, it means that Spine Chill has lit up and the killer is on their way back.
Dear survivors I unhook: If it's a Huntress, DO NOT STAND ON TOP OF THE HILL I JUST UNHOOKED YOU FROM AND LOOT THROUGH A CHEST. Please? It's really not safe. Sincerely, a concerned teammate.

I'm tired of gen phobia. i should not be doing 4/5 gens solo....
i think i will give up and farm the killer and them instead of trying to escape. best to help inflate the kill stats you know?

I run Kindred and the amount of times Kindred has worked against me is unbelievable. Example: everyone is injured and I'm on the hook. Instead of my team mates trying to rescue me before I go into struggle, they'll use the auras of kindred to go towards each other and heal themselves. By the time they're done guess what? I'm in the struggle phase.
Even with this perk, I still can't get saved on time. Solo queue is legit hands down the worst experience in this game, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I'll take this mess over EZ SWF.
