Pigs Addons: Whats The Point Of Jigsaws Annotated Plan And Jigsaws Sketch?

Isn't more Jigsaw boxes a bad thing? I've recently picked up pig and want to know why these exist. If more Jigsaw boxes are good then whats the point of Amandas Letter? Thanks yall. I'm going off the wiki here so if they have some other positive effect it isn't listed there.

Edit: Holly Leaf, Dead By Gadfly, and Tunnel Me Please explained it. I'm still not sure if the addon is very good, since it only decreases the odds by 5% per box and its easier to find a box. Thanks guys!

    more Jigsaw boxes are a good thing. It means more chances for survivors to fail each time they search a box for a key.

    Amanda's Letter reduces Jigsaw boxes which is a bad thing, but in return it gives you aura reading while crouched.

    1 key is located in a box.

    If theres 4 boxes then the survivor has a 25% chance of finding it.

    If theres 5 boxes they have a 20% chance of finding it.

    Mix with tampered timer for maximum effect 😁

    Isn't that more chances to succeed? Unless these boxes are rigged to fail.I don't know how aura reading for a measly 12 meters is worth gutting Traps. Either way thank you. Edit: Nevermind, Dead By Gadfly explained it.

    How the jigsaw boxes work is when someone gets trapped, one box on the map is chosen at random to remove the trap, therefore, more boxes means less of a chance to find the correct box on each search.

    Amanda’s letter is made so that you’re traps are basically worthless, and they only give you one of them, in exchange for letting you see auras while crouched.

    If you are trying to get into Pig, Amanda’s letter is a pretty bad addon because it only lets you read auras within 12 meters with no other boosts to your sneak, and it makes it so you only have 1 trap and 2 boxes.

    Theres no point at all. Believe you me that I've got more head trap kills with just combat straps and video tape on in one day than with any purple or green add one the pig has. Had two head traps kills two days in a row and I was the happiest pig player for those days haha.

    As others have stated, keys are in predetermined boxes. If you combine this with the Gears add-ons, then simply put, it wastes a LOT of time.
