Dear Behavior, get your ######### together please...

not only you keep the game survivor sided cuz they make most of your playerbase and you milk as much cash as you can through cosmetics, but seriously, there is an insane amount of hackers in the game, I've seen 5 today, 2 on fellow streamers stream, 3 in my matches, specifically speed hackers who obviously make new accounts and buy the game while hacking without getting detected, there is nothing more i need to say for you to do your job right, do something about this.

Sadly, I have to agree with you.

Now, I have absolutely zero knowledge of anything at BHVR's studio, but things are starting to make me wonder if the game isn't having financial issues.

First, it was stated by the Lead Dev over at Deathgarden: Blood Harvest that profits from DbD were propping up that game last year. And of course, the I.P. tanked for the second time and was finally shut down. So that was a loss.

Then there are all the huge licenses they've managed to grab. I saw this during my time in the table-top RPG industry when a company that wasn't one of the Mega Big Boys would start grabbing licenses left and right, and not inexpensive licenses either. It gave them an initial boost in press coverage and sales, but quickly petered-off and eventually started really biting into their revenue. Not only the constant royalties on sales, but also any renewal fees that inevitably come around should they want to keep the license for an additional term.

I have to wonder if the licenses, as a whole, might not have done something similar here.

As I said, I have zero knowledge of what's happening at BHVR. They could be swimming in funds for DbD. But from this end of things, the game doesn't look healthy at all. And outside of an EA type model of just milk us via the cash shop with minimal investment into anything on their end, my concerns points to financials.

I have no input into the hacker situation. Didn't even mention it in the post you quoted.

The issue I have is with the amount of bugs in the game, the fact that they exist for so long (Nurse, Myers/GF stalking bug, Oni power bug, just to name three off the top of my head), and that they seem to introduce more bugs with every patch like clockwork before they even fix many of the existing bugs.

They either hired new devs fresh out of school with no actual game coding experience beyond the classroom (i.e. cheap, entry-level labor); are using the EA model of: No rush, we'll still get their money anyway; have a very poor management team at allocating resources and time management; or are having financial issues.

Because there are no other possibilities besides the remaining two: they are either incompetent at maintaining a game like DbD, or they don't care. And I can't fathom either of those two being true.

From my point of view, they're trying to decorate a wall who has a crumbling foundation, as they try to hide it, most wise players see foward it's fall.
