I reiterate: console killers play toxic
It seems like every time we get a console killer (we're on PC), there's always some console killer who doesn't care about tunneling or camping whatsoever, plays that weird console meta build with Devour Hope (literally like 90% of the console bros), and it's just not a fun experience. They always accuse people on PC of "hacking" (lol, really sad that skill = "hacking") and then they do toxic crap thinking it's fine. I would turn off cross-play if it didn't pair us with the exact same killer a few matches in a row (legit our experience, no lie) so I don't feel I have much of a choice. I wish there was some kind of incentive to discourage toxic gameplay...on both sides honestly.
Oh and before anyone says anything, yes I have run BT and DS. Do I feel like running those perks every game? No, I can't predict when someone will drop skill requirements in order to use a crutch to gain an advantage.

Because they come here and moan about it lol. I've seen enough posts about it to see this. And I saw Devour Hope players on console enough to know it's some weird meta they have. The meta perk on PC is Corrupt Intervention. Not so much of a weird post really.

We play fine. Console toxicity is just having an effect. That's all there is to it. No idea why people imply it's some sort of skill gap.

i read devour hope meta and thought it was a bait, i guess console players go play more toxic to balance the framerate problems against other plataforms

I was a toxic console killer yesterday. I ran LF with insidious, NOED, franklins, and infectious with a mori. I would hide with insidious and mori someone immediately off the hook so BT couldn't proc. It was great. I did it cause I was frustrated after I got four straight games of sweaty rank 1 SWFs running DS/UB

Nope. Consistently happens enough that it has been a problem for our group. You can assume all you want my dude. This has been a problem with console players. I think I prefer the PC meta.

Both console and PC killers play super toxic, I don't really see a difference in them other than with console killers you can 360 them more often.

both sides like to call the other side out for bs they dont like heck i laugh at this stuff (also would it be camping or tunneling if 2 survivors constantly hook rush each other right after i down on and reload a hatchet obly for wounded to rush a hook so i kill both?)

And we just had another console player camp and tunnel pretty hard. Wraith. Interesting games I will say. All of them have been console killers. What a bummer.

You'll have to excuse us. Poor console optimisation has had profound effects on us, for example after playing a match with 10 FPS on lerys we can suffer from dizziness and disorientation which then leads to poor judgement, such as putting devour hope on every match. If not treated by a medical professional this can lead to some truly strange builds, I've even heard talk of insidious basement huntresses and sloppy butcher plagues.

What's wrong with devour hope. I almost always get it to the exposed level cause sweat squads don't even bother with totems since the ruin nerf

I very rarely see Devour Hope on PS4 and I’ve been playing for 3 years now. So you’re either exaggerating how much you’re coming across it or it’s an XBOX thing.
Either way, this whole “Console players do X” and “PC players do X” is beyond tiresome now. I’ve experienced the stuff people complain about from both console and PC players. The issue isn’t the platform. It’s the player.
For me, nothing has changed since enabling crossplay except finding matches faster. The quality of those matches are no different.

I have played on console for years and it is rare to find Devour IMO.
Also, don't you do totems on PC?
I will agree that many console killers seem to tunnel more. But my sample size is limited to who I know is on PC. Mainly can only be sure when it's a Huntress or Nurse. They seem much stronger than the console ones I am used to

I play on PS4 and most killers don't run Devour Hope. Also, there are toxic killers on every system. PC is no exception.

I play on PS4, the choppy 30 frames is gruesome, but not that bad. I managed pretty fine. Just chalking this up to how people choose to play on console vs how people choose to play on PC. I'm not saying PC doesn't have its share of toxic people (it may be worse in a lot of instances) but the fact that I can't even call these people out for their BS kind of sucks for one thing. Bringing these toxic people down a few notches somehow would be nice. You just get tired of it really. I keep noticing this trend of console players being incredibly scummy and the PC killers are actually not so bad in comparison. Perhaps it is limited to my group's experience, but you all could also be underestimating console because you're used to it.

I’m on PS4 as well and after reset I was purple but I haven’t seen any devour hope except for 1 ph match where I had an archive and I’m a surv main. In other words I haven’t seen any devour soap as surv in a year. What rank cause that might be it

The only thing I DO consistently notice about console players is that there seems to be some weird bug when they carry a survivor and try through a pallet (undropped, naturally. I know you people where already typing a smarta** comment). I haven't yet seen a console killer who'd not get stuck at least for a moment

Feels like a massive generalization. Seems to me like you got beat, the Killers didn't follow your rules, and you are upset. That's fine, but you just gotta move on.
As for console players accusing PC players of cheating, if you are playing a Killer on console, you MIGHT be getting 25 FPS on a bigger map, so yes, it can look like cheating depending on what happens.

there is a performance gap. Console players seem to be much worse than PC players in my experience. Undoubtedly because of frame rate and peripherals and what not, so not really a skill gap, but this is a clear distinction.

Please don't start threads bashing players on other platforms with the intent to start an argument on the forum. Most people are very much aware, that it's not the platform that a player plays on but the player themselves!
