Next-Gen Console
I saw this article saying that next the gen Xbox (Xbox Series X) will be running at 4k 60fps, even having some quotes from Mathieu Cote about Dbd continuing into the future. Doesn't mention anything about the PS5 version though, but I would assume the same for it. I have a hard time believing this considering the optimization problems and issues now.
Does anybody know if this true?

Bruh, there is an announcement in the top of the forum saying that DBD is coming to next gen consoles.

I know, I meant specifically the 4k 60fps part if that was true. Not if it was coming to next-gen at all

Who knows? You know as much as any of us: i.e., that an article said it and quoted Cote.
I mean, Cote could straight up say it in the next Dev stream, but until we see what DbD is like on next-gen, none of us know if it's actually true and happening like that or not.
But until we see the actual proof with the next-gen console and DbD in play, at this point I'd take anything BHVR says about DbD Console with a heavy grain of salt.

Which is why I had to post this and see if this would somehow shockingly be true. And I pleasantly be wrong about the devs actually doing that

Exactly what i said in the old thread. Your optimization will be in the form of new consoles rather than hiring someone to actually work on the game.
Literally nothing will change, the game is just being brute forced by stronger hardware.

Yep, figures as much.
That's pretty much what the Xbox One X and Ps4 Pro versions are doing. They have no enchantments made by the devs. Pure brute force from their extra power

The site you quoted is an Xbox site, usually the sites that only focus on news for One console won't even mention the other. I've seen some even remove mention of the other in quotes. However officially on the press release it does confirm that both Next Generation consoles will have 4K and 60 frames per second.

I play it on PC too. But with no cross-progression it sad to see all the killers back at level 1.
