Should you be able to trade Bloodpoints for Iridescent shards?

Yes
And shards for cells. They have that kind of thing on mobile already...

Yes BUT...
...I think the conversion in the Shrine of Secrets would be fine.
150k BP for 2k shards.

Yes BUT...
They’re not gonna allow that

Yes BUT...
Or maybe be able to trade addons and offering for shards/BP ?

No
This would completely mess up the Shard-Economy and because of that, BHVR would never do that.
If we take a look at this:
You will need to play around 580 games to gain 25k Shards. If we go for a mediocre/okish Killergame with 25k BPs and BBQ, we would earn 29 Million BPs in those 580 games. This would give another 145k Shards. So you would gain around 6 times as much Shards as of now.
There is a reason why Shards are quite hard to get, because BHVR is giving away Characters and Cosmetics for free, if people are paying with Shards. So the prices for Characters/Cosmetics would need to increase which would only hurt players who do not want to trade their BPs for Shards.

That'd make getting non-licensed characters way too easy. 50 games worth of BP (assuming you get 15k, which is really low) and you'd have 10k shards, that's one killer or survivor. Now if you're a killer with BBQ you could rack up around 50k BP per match and get a whole chapter in as few as 27 games, not including BP from Dailes, Offerings, or Archives.
From a business perspective there's no possible reason to have it be this low. There's not much of a reason to include any conversion like this from a purely financial side of things, as it would make chapters much much less profitable. It would also basically force BHVR to make less cosmetics available for shards, not really that good for players either

Yes BUT...
You're right. That's fair enough.

That would be amazing.... but sadly unrealistic. It takes like 2 or 3 solid days of full out grinding gaming all day just to get 2k shards. With BP bonus offerings (especially stacked) and the right perks you could get 150k in 3 games, maybe even two depending.

Being able to use bp to get new killers is an unrealistic expectation. The devs deserve to get money commensurate with their work, and allowing bp to be used to buy killers would not be fair to that ideal. 4 times a year, you get a new killer, a new survivor, at least 6 new perks, and a overhaul of some aspect of the game. Even if you can't directly purchase those things, they can still benefit you indirectly. This also doesn't count reworks and optimization efforts.
This would also discourage you from using bp on your killers, and encourage you to play the game without add-ons forever in order to stockpile Shards for the next killer. Not using add-ons on any of your killers would significantly negatively impact your ability to enjoy the game in its entirety.
Iridescent Shards let you get a portion of paid content (perks, killers, extra bp, or cosmetics) as a loyalty program, but they're limited such that you can't reach get every single option within a category with shards. It lets you sample paid for content without giving you unreasonable amounts of free access to that content, given the amount of work they take.
Keep in mind that this game only costs $20, the dlcs are only $7 each (and you definitely don't need every one), it all goes on sale regularly, and you can use bundled Auric cells to purchase the characters associated with the side that you favor--assuming you, like most players, prefer to play one side.

Yes BUT...
Yea, it'd also definitely mean an end to bonus BP events.
That said if it weren't for original chapters being so cheap at just 9k shards I think it'd be ok.
You'll still have to grind a LOT to unlock the more expensive cosmetics with shards (over 1.5 million BP) while also forgoing potential character progression by just throwing away your BP.
For anyone who hasn't already gotten all perks on all the characters they want them on, I think it'd be a bit stupid to trade BP for shards, even at a 150k:2k exchange rate.
Of course, original chapters are cheap, both monetarily and when purchased for shards, so my idea remains stupid.

Yes BUT...
That's not practical from a business standpoint.
Shards are there to make the game 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 not full of paywalls but of course getting all the perks and non-licensed killers with just shards is completely unfeasible; because BHVR is a company and the point of a company is to make money.

Yes BUT...
200k BPs for 1k shards? Holy #########, someone did the math. 😅 If it were about to happen, it should be hard to get these shards. Even if it would be an unfair trade.

Yes BUT...
250k seems too little for 1k, maybe like 500k.
