Tips for advanced survivors
Okay, can we please have some tips and tricks directed towards more skilled survivors? I feel like I'm missing out on some good stuff!
Here's a couple of things that come to my mind:
- If you're going for a cheeky pallet stun, don't run while attempting the drop. When running through a pallet, you only get the prompt to drop it when at the furthest edge of the direction you're facing.
- When being slugged and waiting to be picked up, crawl to a loop. This is especially helpful when the person trying to res you is in a chase and can gain some extra distance from the killer.
- It's harder for the killer to snowball if you don't rush hooks early game. Tunnel vision is harder when you have gens to kick.
- Don't dc on your team!

Hug the wall as survivor when you're looping. The idea is that you're using your smaller hitbox to get a speed advantage on the killer since he has to move in a wider arc than you do. I see a lot of survivors afraid to touch walls and they're easier to catch.
Run perks that fit your playstyle, not "meta" perks. If you know you have a habit of self caring in a corner, run Botany Knowledge. If you know you have a habit of going for unsafe saves, run Borrowed Time. If you run Adrenaline but never make it to full gen completion, then you ran the whole game with 3 perks. Think about how you play and build on your strengths.
Wake up/Spine chill is underrated for doors.
Stop hiding. Always be doing something that generates points. Sit on a gen until the killer picks you to chase. You get points for being in a chase. At the start of the match all pallets are up and it's easy to plan your routes. You want to be chased first. Better you than Meg who tosses the pallets down instantly to build a fort.

Don't be bming the killer for them to chase you. Good killers won't chase you bc you are off gens. The best way to get chased is by doing something the killer doesnt want you to do, commonly referred to as generators.

Actual gamechanging tip:
Leave gens that are in structures or special buildings (Like the ship gen in the swamp, or the saloon gen on the Saloon) for last. The killer has to waste a lot of valuable time to get up the structure and chase the survivors working there off, while other survivors can work on other gens.

Here's a tip that I still see tons of red rank survivors mess up:
Do the most unsafe gens first.
Example: The 2 gens on Hawkins that are on the second floor always, should be part of your 3 gen. Stop doing these first!
Another: Swamp maps, the gens on the boat or in the main building...these should be in your 3 gen! Stop doing these first!
You need to have your 3 gen planned from the start.
It gets tiring seeing my teammates rush to do the safest gens as soon as the game starts instead of saving them. You want to force the killer to make far patrols at end game and force him to have to protect a gen that's near really good loops.

Hell nah. Recovery bar always comes first. If I'm being chased and try to tuick heal you when you;ve been down for over 30 seconds and that bar aint full you're on my "do not unhook, ever" list.

This is generally a very good tip just keep in mind that there are "some" killers that this doesn't always apply to due to their powers (namely Nurse but to a lesser extent Freddy and Demogorgon) where hard verticality can hurt the survivors in the 3 gen as well.
Example being Thompson House - Corn where occasionally you see the middle of the cornfield gen and adjacent hill generator left alone + the 2nd floor house one. This puts you in a fairly awkward position where a single blink can put the nurse at any of the generators while survivors have a much larger path to run... keep raw distance in mind for these killers and make sure you get rid of at least one generator if you see a pair that are like 15m apart.

If you go down in a pallet or a window and a teammate is nearby about to use it, hold your run button so that way you cancel the healing action from appearing and your teammate can use the pallet or window without getting the prompt it can literally be a difference maker and prevent the killer from getting an insane amount of pressure so easy, of course survivors should be on gens if possible but sometimes when trying to make a play or with randoms this can save you from a slugfest

I agree about the spacing, and I usually agree about trying to have strong loops around your last gen, but there are some exceptions to that. For example, I don't see any issue with doing the center gen on Disturbed Ward early, because the center building is reachable from pretty much any outside gen without taking two hits. If your safest loops are in the center building and you still have a gen to do there, the killer will be able to pressure the gen inside while chasing you. If that gen is done, though, the killer is basically forced to drop chase once you make it to the center building of they're going to lose their last gen. This can make it really hard for them to get downs and make your life really easy as a survivor. So, provided your last three gens are well-spaced, I think it's fine on that map to do the center one early.

Here's a good tip. If you're gonna decide to make a save...commit! Don't hop off a gen and run all the way across a map to just crouch and hide while the killer makes a circle and the survivor goes into 2nd phase. Too many times I've seen people do this and it makes me furious. Like thanks for the death sentence.
Also if you're not in a SWF read the others survivors intentions of you can. If you unhook me and I try to run towards a gen to finish it...stop trying to heal me and slow me down. Please try to have awareness of everything around you and look at the bigger picture. Count how many hooked survivors there are to gens done.
1 hooked + 2-3 gens done = solid game. Good chance of escaping.
2-4 hooked + 1 gen done = game going to hell. Get you're sh!t together and focus!

So this isn't as obvious as you would think, but working on situational awareness.
On a gen? Have your head on a swivel, pivoting your surroundings. You can pick up stealth killer tells (like the Wraith's distortion), or at least glimpse the Killer and start looking at escape routes should they come your way.
Also, actively listening- a lot of times you can HEAR the Killer before you see them and this is valuable because:
1.) You can tell which killer it is and possibly adjust your playstyle.
2.) Gauging proximity- how close/far are they from your position.

Here's my tip: Run Iron Will and leave loops when you break LOS. A lot of times the Killer won't notice right away and will swing at a pallet and waste time

lol, "don't dc on your team". That's good advice but let's be real here. That isn't an advanced tip. Even beginners should know better.

"cheeky pallet stun" is it when you pass through the pallet and then go back and drop it without passing by it again? if yes, THIS IS WHY IT ALWAYS GO WRONG WHEN I TRY IT! lol

Surprised it hasn't been said yet, but good survivors make escape plans.
If you're near a gen, you should look around and find at least one loop that you could dash for if the killer pops up nearby and starts looking at you funny. Ideally, you really want to try and have 2-3 options in different directions if possible (so you can better react if the killer is between you and your loop), though if you're doing your due diligence and working on unsafe gens first, that many routes may not be possible.
If it's later in the match and you can't be sure if a nearby loop's pallet is still available: check. It only takes a few seconds to run over and look, which costs far less time than if you get downed by the killer because your escape plan involved a second-hand loop.

If someone is about to go into struggle on first hook, farm them. That may sound like a dick move but:
- The killer has to spend time to pick them back up and re-hook them
- If the person has D-strike, they'll get a chance to use it (or the killer may leave them alone for 60 seconds because they think the survivor may have it in which case they'll probably waste time patrolling anyway)
Either way, unless you're going to get grabbed or unless it's a chainsaw killer just farm them.

If hit near a loop, position yourself right infront of it with some of the character pressed into the loop, some killers will accidentally press vault instead of pick up, wasting a good 5 or 6 extra seconds :)
Run towards the basement when being chased, when at the top of the stairs, if out of line of sight, slowly walk into a locker at the top of the stairs. Some killers will fall for it and follow the scratch marks into an empty basement.

It's in general, like 90% of the time accurate. I'm obviously not talking about literally every single match. There are some small exceptions for certain maps or killers like you mentioned.

This tip will sound very basic but I don't see many survivors make use of this:
TPing to the other side of a pallet and generally vaccuming was removed ages ago. But when you're on the other side of the pallet from the killer, the prompt to pull the pallet down has quite a large radius. Make use of it! On loops that killers can see you loop, I am constantly baiting killers into stuns because they think I'm being greedy for a loop - Well, I'm not always being greedy! I vacuum right back at them and they get pallet stunned. I really don't see much survivors make use of this. I generally make sure to let go of the run button too when I drop pallets down. Unproven, but I feel like I get hit through pallets less compared to the shift + drop pallet animation.
The tip I gave above will allow you to greed more loops. If the killer is going to respect the pallet, you've made more distance by being at the maximum range of the pallet drop prompt. If he looks like he isn't going to respect you can pull it down and get an unexpected (from their perspective) stun on them.

I try to force myself to leave the first gen I see on the edge of the map the hell alone and do the gens in the centre of the map first, the more exposed and out in the open they are the better. Once you do as many of the exposed center map gens first the Killer has to traverse the entire map to apply pressure to the last few remaining gens dotted on the outskirts making it extremely hard for them. Also less likely to 3-gening yourself.

Yes, exactly! The prompt is always available when walking, as opposed to when running. Just release the button as you want to drop the pallet and you'll be all set. Happy stun-hunting <3

I've always understood that doing the center most gens first is usually good since it helps prevent most 3-gen situations.
One tip I learned watching Puppers: Killers don't gain/build up bloodlust when you walk. Depending on the loop you can use this to delay bloodlust's kicking in, such as when you're on opposite ends of a loop and the killer is trying to mind game.
