So... Nothing changed...?
New trailer is out and... nothing changed from the PTB? This is still Octane from Apex with a long cooldown?
EDIT: I wasn't expecting a full rework, don't get me wrong, but maybe for them to add being able to hit on 1st rush and lowering the cooldown if you miss a hit after bumping or not bumping. Or maybe somehow using the vials on survivors you know?

Creative team on a circular table... "Ok, what ideas for the new killer do you have?"
Guy 1: Werewolf, they've been asking a lot for it
Guy 2: No! Dr Jeckyl and Mr Hyde! The alchemist could have his transforming power and it would add a lot to the lore!
Guy 3: Hold my beer... Ok... Have you guys ever played pinball and/or a videogame called Apex?

Did you actually think they would change the whole power during the 2 weeks after PTB end and release?
The Trailer doesn’t really show the state of the PTB but only the base power..of course thus is the same, but you don’t know how it will actually work once released.. bumping/hitboxes will probably be smoother, fatigue after missed attack will probably not be doubled and other adjustments and bug fixes.
12 -
They are not going to make any big changes to a Killer in the time between a PTB and the live release.
4 -
I didn't think they'd change the whole power, but maybe add it so that you can hit on the 1st rush without bumping into a wall 1st, that would've been a nice and simple change...
3 -
That would just render Legion absolutely meaningless. Probably Pig too.
7 -
I like Blight, his power makes him unpredictable in a good way (unlike spirit) since you can see him and he actually requires some skill and brain to make nice tricks.
2 -
If anything that trailer makes me want to avoid this chapter.
11 -
Don't tell me you don't see this guy as a kind of "rework" for Legion... Rushing and hitting survivors but adding bumping into walls? No...? Ok...
1 -
So? What you are suggesting would render him entirely obsolete.
3 -
That would be pretty powerful though and would need major adjustments. that’s almost legion without Deep wounds but downing with second hit.
maybe they have cool adjustments like pallets breaking with a rush or something else, we don’t know yet! They did this with Demos shred iirc
1 -
He's not already in that state? You really don't see him as the lowest tier along clown? And cause Legion would become obsolete this killer has to be C tier?
2 -
Missing my point. Your suggestion would exacerbate the issue.
2 -
The Basics will stay the same, that should be obvious. And those Trailers were never really detailed.
1 -
True, I hope this is the case
1 -
I’m intrigued to see how his hit boxes are now as they definitely seemed too big on the PTB. I’m hoping he’s easy to handle on console as I actually really like his aesthetic and play style.
Felix is still a hottie and I hope I get to see him a lot in the fog...behind a tree. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

you were expecting them to buff it to be a better demo shred that doesn't break things? of course that ability wont let you hit a survivor right away it has an INSTANT activation.
the ability is strong he was just a mess in the ptb, im pretty sure we are not going to be ramming are heads into the same object over and over again and im sure they messed with the lunge and stun aspect.
remember what a dev said "he is unplayable compared to his updated version" that should tell you something.

i just don't see a power that requires me to lose line of sight on the survivor before i can hit them as appealing. if i want to rush around the map quick.. Legion and Spirit exist.. what does this guy offer that those don't? decent perks sure, but doesn't make me want to play as him.
we'll see i guess but i'm overly skeptical about his power.. seems a bit of a mess.. "survivor's straight in front of me.. but wait i gotta go hit this tree 20ft away to my right"
1 -
These videos are made practically months in advance, which is why they don't state any values about perks or power.
2 -
The killer looks cool and his perks are nice, but his power is very underwhelming I don’t see it being very strong and I feel like it’s going to be very finicky to use especially on console.
The survivor I’m looking forward to he looks great and his perks a mediocre.
I’d rate this chapter around a 6/10

The lack of uses that Putrid Serums provide to the Killer is what disappoints me.
He injects himself to run slightly faster...No other effect? Not using them on the Survivors? Not having plants grow around the map or smthn?
It's my opinion that they really dropped the ball with this one in terms of Killer Power design.
But that's also just about it though, the rest of the chapter to me seems either fine or better.
9 -
Tbh I didn't expect them to do something about the blight power.
They just created a cheap killer. I'm disappointed about this killer.
But well, after a great killer like PH, I guess they needed to do something awful.
2 -
PH is pretty awful design wise.

Imo, neither Legion nor Blight can get much worse. The counter to Blight is to just run straight at him before he bounces. There is literally almost no way he can hit you. Even if he cancels his power, he still has a stun to eat.
Same with Legion. All Survivors have to do is run in a straight line and Legion probably won't be able to catch them. And if they don't heal, they'll win 9/10 times. Plus, Legion is forced to eat a longer stun than Nurse does, for a power that often does more harm than good.
1 -
My suspicion for the inspiration was for a “nurse” with more charges, and less fatigue/cooldown, but can’t traverse through geometry like she can.
3 -
I'm kind adisappointed as well for it doesn't fit is lore at all. Like when the hell could he run faster then Legion, what is he quickmaths?( If you get the joke). In all seriousness though i feel like a more alchemist like character should not be able to do that, but instead use concoctions then a gain we got clown but still

This is actually one of the first DLCs that, as of right now, I don't see myself buying with cash. I'm not even sure I'd use shards, because the Killer perks don't sell me. Not unless I change my personal rule and start using Hex perks.
That said, I'm waiting to see how he plays in Live. So, I suppose YouTube videos it is.
Don't care about the survivor, myself. I'm quite content sticking with Laurie, Ash, and Bill.
1 -
Reminder that these trailers are recorded in advance most cases.
1 -
I just want his perks to be honest, I could give a damn about his terrible power kit LOL
1 -
I'll purchase Blight for his Undying Hex. Get him to Rank 30 for teachable and then I'll leave him for dead and probably never play him again. It'll be a nice addition to Devour Hope.
2 -
from the look of it, he seems to be able to reposition himself better after he bumps into something. before he would just bounce back a little but now it looks like you can strafe farther to the side to get around things. also he has actual sounds now which will make him feel more impactful for both sides.
0 -
Yep, same here, I only want his perks, that's it...

Legion and Pig are obsolete anyways.
1 -
Exactly what I answered to him, "the fact that some killers are D tier makes it a rule that a killer can't come out that is a higher tier with alike powers? Amazing Logic"
2 -
I like how the survivors in the trailer run in a straight line without looking behind them, ofc this is the type of survivors blight will really shine against.
2 -
I'll probably get it with shards, not really enthused about the killer but I'm a compulsive hexer 😁

What?! You don't get those in your games?!

This guy completely shuts down transitions. They drop a pallet, you kick it or fake it, and pinball before they even make it to the next pallet. If they tightened his rush hitbox hes gonna be super fun. I know PTB build was already a week behind his actual build so I'm excited to the see the changes.

I see some people saying that he is weak but i fail to see how, there was a streamer doing amazing with him and im not talking about brain dead hits in the open this guy was using his power through tight areas such as the shrine maps center piece and other tiles and getting a lot of hits. A dev even said he was unplayable compared to his updated version yet when you got his power to work the way you wanted it was very good.
His power prevents you from just running until the killers almost on you and then looping because he can gain a large amount of ground for a hit and if you activate your power and instantly slam into a tree say to your right in less than 2 seconds you can already be on the survivor and hit them. someone said you can just run into him as he slams but even with the stun you have to rely on there being a pallet or vault nearby so your probably getting hit and i'm sure when people get good at him that wont even work.
yes he can be looped but he can't be out ran, your not going to stun him and get to that pallet 24+ meters away when your in the open in most maps especially if he runs enduring. even at its worst the power is still a good traversal tool which makes him better than a normal m1 killer like trapper and clown who lack any map pressure.
tldr: he can be looped but not ran (holding w) in most maps, power can be used for traversal and very quick hits if you slam into a object next to you than go into lethal rush, and his power was good when you didn't slam your head repeatedly into an object which has diffidently been addressed in some way so how do you think he is now.
1 -
The problem isn't that Legion is D tier. The problem is that your suggestion would make Legion pointless. Why play a Killer whose power is "move faster but can't down people while doing so" when there exists a Killer whose power is "move faster but CAN down people while doing so?" The one-bump requirement makes it so he doesn't 100% just turn into Legion but better (which would essentially be "an M1 Killer that is impossible to counterplay," which is a bad idea even ignoring the whole Legion thing).

He's not in the lowest tier. Just being able to get around the map at Billy-like speed with course correction and instant start-up and minimal cooldown is by itself a pretty strong ability. The fact that he can occasionally get a hit while doing it is a side benefit.
The problem he had on the PTB is his power is slightly glitchy because of the size of the hitbox and he suffered a double length stun on a hit while doing a Lethal Rush. The double stun was, I believe, confirmed to be a bug so that will probably be fixed, and we already know the PTB version wasn't the final internal version of Blight so there's probably also some tweaks to his hitbox. Plus new versions of his add-ons were posted on the German PTB shortly before the PTB went down so a bunch of those got tweaked as well potentially.
And you don't have to take my word for it. As I recall OhTofu, Scott Jund, and Tru3ta1ent all have said basically the same thing - he was an underrated killer on the PTB because a lot of people were trying to force his ability to work in loops when it's actually mainly intended to get his around quickly and help him transition and catch up to people between chases and hits. His ability is definitely situational in a chase but he seems to more than makes up for that in the saved time between chases.
1 -
Seems to be this is the killer answer to "the power of holding w"
You can't really run in a straight line for 20 seconds against this guy like you can with other m1 killers
I am skeptical but intrigued by how he will perform in the upcoming weeks

When a Hex is transitioned to a new totem due to Hex: Undying, it loosed all stacks. So it does not work so well with Devour Hope, but thats all right, since keeping the stacks would be totally broken.

I think they should make him in way that if he constantly hits an object he eventually becomes more maneuverable. For example if he hits an object the first time he does not have much options to work with unless the survivor is in bad position correct. Next if he hits another object, that is when his real potential can be brought out, the more you hit, the more momentum you have thus enabling the killer to overpower survivors in almost any location.
Of course this concept has flaws, such as how they are going to implement this complicated system. Rest asurred that this is an idea I think would benefit him and would make him very fun and viable to take in competitive matches as well. Glhf to all of you and take care.
