Shred is useful and is arguably one their strongest ability its just only 2-3 addons support it.
If shred had a proper add-on line up it could easily be one of the better chasing abilities in the game but as of now it lacks enough support to do much thus not letting demo do much.

Demos Shred is really strong. Let alone that it is possibly the best ability to use with STBFL.

actually his shred in terms of antiloop is probably one of the strongest powers between all 115%-m1 killers... if you are bad with that killer is not that killer's fault but yours.

Riiiiiight. SHRED is the issue with Demogorgon.
Not the obnoxious amount of screaming that it does telling every other survivor that it's fine to do generators. That can't be it at all.

HMMM Clown, Doctor, Freddy. All of them don't need to be in a straight line to slow down survivor or prevent them from dropping/vaulting. Also if you are far from Demo you can bait him and dodge his shred, unlike Clown's bottle, Freddy's snair or Doctor's shock.

The only change for his shread that he could use is to apply deep wound with it, so he could stall gens a little with that.
Im not a demo main, so if any can say something about that i would gladly listen.

Shred is awesome. His biggest issues comes from him screaming across the entire map when ever he uses a portal and his loud clunky footsteps. Fix these and he’s a top 5 killer

No idea what you're talking about. I main him as Rank 1 on PC with no add-ons and I always get use out of his Shred every match.

The strongest part about Demo is his shred, it can end loops much quicker if you know how to use it, you can bait people to do mistakes.

Bruh I got rank 1 killer playing Clown with Clown and base perk only, also most game were either 4k or 3k hatch escape/door escape if they were far apart. I only got demolish by a 4swf with 16 meta perk abusing DS, DH, unbreakable etc.

It highly depends on a range between survivor and the killer. When being further avoiding deathslinger power is extremally easy.

Clown was great before his “buff”. All it did was get more players curious to try him out, and now there’s more information out there on how to use Clown’s power to control the chase, players are actually realising how good he can actually be.
The self inflicted slow down was a non issue before, and only hindered those killers that didn’t know what they’re doing with Clown.

It allowed survivors to switch the loops or drop the pallet and yeah, before the buff clown was better than people thought but this slow effect make him loose too much lethality in the chase to be called good (unless you were using pinky finger)... cooldown perks were almost a must.

Getting rank 1 with X killer doesn't mean the killer is good/his abilities are good. Also you can dodge shred while Clown's bottle are too large for that and good luck dodging Doctor's ability. Shred's usage is limited to big, long loops and since charging it make you slower than a survivor, a decent-good survivor can dodge it.

If you're putting yourself in situations where a survivor can dodge the shred somewhat easily then you're not using shred correctly, or you made a really bad call and the survivor made a good one.

shred is good if you know WHEN to use it/fake it
a demo that misses shreds and doesn't follow up on it, demo's who dont use shred enough, and demo's who are not patient with shred and end up missing are not playing demo good enough for him to reliably use shred in a chase.
its simple, if you can use shred and land it almost every chase and even when you miss you can follow it up with a hit most of the time your good with demo.

Not everyone runs a full meta build. Also, people run the counter to whats been used against them. Gen speeds? Pop. Tunneling? Ds. Not being hook saved? Deliverance. If people don't want meta perks used then don't make them useful in the match. Don't camp, don't tunnel, don't mindlessly rush gens, things like that. If everyone did that, then you would almost never see those perks used.

How can you follow up a failled Shred with a hit when there's a cooldown for a failled shred?
Gen speed is an issue if survivor don't run around for nothing. And even if you don't tunnel a 4swf full meta perk are gonna abuse them. Hooked them in the last minute? They're gonna run a gen in your face. 2 guys on hook and one will trade: he unhook, give BT and that guy will save the other one on the hook and give him bt and both have DS. You just lost all pressure because of second chance perk, nice. That or you're around a hooked person because you know more survivor are in the area. You don't want to tunnel but the guy who get unhook have BT so he'll run in your face. You down him? nah he have DS etc. Even solo will abuse second chance perk.
I don't tunnel and only stay near hook when other survivor are around when I just hooked the guy. What am I suppose to do? Leave 2 guys alone?

I'm a professional Demogorgon who goes on 4k winning streaks at rank 1 daily, Demo's Shred is the ultimate weapon in his kit and arguably one of the best aggressive chase tools out of any killer because of it's mindgame potential, and synergy with a single perk (STBFL) which is definitely all he needs (if ur any good at the game! lol!!), both of which apply intense pressure at loops forcing survivors to abandon them or get hit. I rate this bait thread 70,000 out of 10 professional bait, this guy is clearly trolling or has absolutely no idea what he's talking about- Mods, get him outta here.

Love him or hate him, he's not wrong on at least one point, Demogogorn is basically an extinct species and I do not care about whether or not you main him or how well you can use him to 4k, you are most certainly the minority / outliers in the playerbas. Hardly anyone is using this killer and this is indisputable, regardless of your personal performance.

You can basically cut any loop with it, plus it has a godly synergy with STBFL.

at shack and long loops, some medium ones or an early shred to a pallet if you have shred recovery addons. most of the time you will have to follow up with another shred and I mainly use it at shack to the window from outside if im at the max shred range since at that range shred wont land if you use it on reaction to the vault. Survivors either have to use the pallet or go the long way optimal for using the window but demo can use shred on reaction from the doorway to land that hit.

Shreds fine, if youre using it all the time then thats your issue, other than that his shred is really good especially with rat liver. his portals on the other hand can be annoying, its hard to keep portals up for map pressure against good teams. if demo had freddy teleport he`d be so much higher, while demo isnt my main choice of killer iv done about 30games in a row (have 150 cakes) and can say hes shred is good and isnt his weakness

While shred can be improved its definitely not garbage. Make rat liver base and you got urself a very powerful anti loop tool. Idk where you're getting the idea that its useless because even without rat liver....its still decent

Out of Demogorgon's entire kit I think Shred is the only redeeming quality.
Having 16m Anti Stealth Foot steps, Severe set up problems, and less than decent addons I think those are all actual problems.

Shread's like having an extra Brutal Strength perk. That alone is worth something surely. It's much faster breaking pallets with Shread than with the standard pallet break animation.

I have spent the last 2 weeks learning demo properly. His strengths are:
- The ability to end long, linear chases quickly
- The ability to teleport long distance and lock down an area.
His shred, when used effectively, can be one of the most lethal abilities and should never be underestimated.

You should try watching Bronx as he really shows how useful Shred actually is and is probably the only Demo main streamer out there. At least from what i've seen. I think he also has a guide on youtube for the best way to use Shred.

Demo need addons rework to help shred. Like spirit have addons to phase, with a good addons. Now at red rank u 4k popatos team

I agree with people saying Shred his the best part of Demo's kit. You can win games by using just it and ignoring portals.
