pyramid head nerf
Pyramid head needs definitely nerf. How this this made to live servers like seriously. He can spam hiss ability without any fatigue 24/7 and can bait it without any cooldown. I think this is really stupid because huntress at least needs to pull out her axe and if she wants to take it back it takes another second at least. pyramid head can spam it like totally no brain #########. Trying to run him on loop with pallet is impossible cause it doesnt matter how hard u try he will keep spamming his ability until u re down. Just give him fatigue or some cooldown for anything he does cause pulling out his power to bait without any cooldown is just bullshit.

Bruh you have a 3 second cooldown if you fail your attack.

The only nerf PH needs is his ability to instantly M1 while drawing trench. It's kind of an exploit that needs to be removed.
28 -
He is talking about cancelling his ability. This does not have any Cooldown, which puts you in a Lose/Lose-Situation at Windows or Pallets.
12 -
He's fine as is, stop trying to nerf killers just beacuse you dont know how to play against them
55 -
Pyramid heads forced a choice. Either take the status effect and continue looping him but risk getting sent to a cage (and potentially tunneled off of it because no DS).
OR
Avoid the trails and run from tile to tile trying to waste as much time as possible, this can actually frustrate some PHs when they see you aren't falling for it/wasting their time when they keep laying trails and I've had many give up and leave to find someone on a gen.
I actually like that aspect of his power quite a lot.
8 -
It's a mindgame if it's gonna hit or not. His cage thing is a little busted for the campy-tunnely type killers but I believe he is mostly fine.
2 -
That’s... the... point. He’s good at jumping pallet looping. Oh noooo...
1 -
No, it's actually 4 seconds.
2 -
Yeah, really good that faking the Power is actually better than using the power. Great design.
10 -
i actually agree.
faking his power is ridiculously easy and can end up cheesing him every chase. its unfun and requires literally no skill - though i would like to add that you shouldnt just call for a nerf now, rather a change.
yes, we should remove his cheap ability of faking his power, but we also need to give him something in return.
some suggestions i came up with:
- give him better steering while drawing his trenches
- remove the marker that shows the area he attacks with his punishment of the damned
- let his power recharge when standing still inside a trench / moving inside a trench
- make his punishment of the damned spawn a trench trail in the area it was applied to
5 -
This is honestly my only problem with his power. I think the rest of his design is very well done. The fact that faking out the projectile is stronger than the projectile itself. Same with Deathslinger is some situations. Very weird. You don't even have to commit to dropping the sword for the slight slowdown, just clap and drop it.

Not now, I finally decide to play with...
If it is spam, the killer bad ! And if you can't do it it's because you're also bad !
Its attack is not wide, you just have to stop looping endlessly and run ! For example🤗
1 -
I hate his mindgaming just by holding M2 too but outside of hitting you while animation locked his power is easily dodge-able.
Take his effortless mindgaming away without another buff then he’ll just be another useless killer.
2 -
You know how to beat his guarenteed loss scenario oh please tell. If hes behind you and you are running to a window you either A. Vault and get hit by the range or B. Her canceled on and m1'd. There is zero coutner to that and if you deny otherwise I'm inclined to believe you dont play against good PH.
1 -
It can become very annoying for the loop, in particular for its traps... I have the impression that with that the survivor is difficult to lose me...
I find its traps and practical power for the camp (P2 mori), the hunt, and at the end of the game when there are 2 survivors but the hooks are far away... beautiful that moment
Since I have Dying light and the perk of nurse they don't finish gen off so quickly, and when I camp they have a hard time for save friends form camp.

Exactly. You cannot really do anything about it, because even if he is using his M2 to create a trail, he is still at 4,4 m/s, meaning he is still way faster than a Survivor. And when you come to a Pallet or a Window, you either have to drop/vault it, meaning he can get you in the animation lock, or you have to fake it, which gives him the ability to use the M1.
Using his power outside of animation locks is very risky, if he does not hit, he just as a really long Cooldown. And this is probably my biggest problem with him as well (after they took care of the Camping/Tunneling problem or at least lowered it).
4 -
Youre right this doesnt have a counter when looping him and thats the point HE'S AN ANTI LOOP KILLER, You simply arent meant to loop him like ordinary m1 killers. Instead you need to get ground on him by running the hell away for as long as you can.
3 -
It should only Torment them. Imagine if Doctor could damage using his skill, which this basically is.
2 -
Holding w does work if he doesnt have good aim or doesnt have range add ons. It's the only way to waste time and its flat out boring. And it doesnt work all the time with the obstacles in the way.

PH is a really badly designed killer. His only strength is that fake out/waiting for survivor to get stuck in an animation. You remove that from his kit without anything to compensate and PH will die. A bad PH who doesn't use their ability like that will get looped to hell and back. Here are the tips I have against PH:
1. Learn his range. Plan loops, drop pallets early, perks, etc around his power's range. It's not as far as it feels.
2. Try to force PH into using the attack you want M1 or power. So if PH is going to fake out his power u still have a vote in what happens. Just choose the option that'll waste his time the most or increase your chances of dodging. For example, there are some situations where I've noticed people trying to dodge PH's power when he fakes so instead of running in a straight line they curve a bit left and right, which let's PH gain ground on them. Chances are that if they had just run straight then they would've left the PH's range by the time he shot or the PH would be off a bit and they could dodge his power. Even if he does hit the survivor would be further away then if they got hit by a m1.

Thank you for the massive bait you filthy survivor main, he actually lacks information and btw, HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE A LOOP ENDER ffs, stop crying for nerfs and deal with it!
9 -
His JOTD is really easy to dodge if youre in the open, also how would you change him to make him more "fun" for survivors
3 -
My proposed change is when he cancels there is a cool down of like 1-2 seconds so PH wre less inclined to try and cancel spam. That way if they put their sword in the ground they are more likely to use it removing the guessing game overall and making it more skillful to use.
Not only that it removes that nasty zoning that takes no skill.
1 -
Yep i agree all you've said he needs some cooldown on power recovery and slowdown when preparing his attack . Also his power wave is too wide it should be reduced a bit only in width . But knowing these devs they will not do anything to him so better just dc or suicide on hook
0 -
Now pyramid head has a bigger head.
0 -
I could get behind an idea like this but anything more is overkill because he's currently in a good place balance wise
0 -
what this guy is talking about is his ability to zone survivors for free by holding his ability at a window so your guaranteed to die and the change is simple just increase the cooldown after pulling up your sword and decrease the cooldown for missing the blast and he would be pretty fun to play against and still pretty strong
5 -
I personally find him fun to play against shrug
3 -
Anti-loop shouldn't even be a thing. It's the survivors main defense with items and stealth as secondary options. Going into a loop shouldn't be a death sentence as the moment a killer starts chasing you, you're immediately on a timer for how long it takes for them to catch up.
2 -
Yeah completely agree. it shouldnt be instant.
0 -
Oh boy have you kicked the hornet nest with that first sentence.
3 -
Give me one good reason why a SKILLED killer should ever be beatable in a 1v1.
1 -
No nurse is an example of a good antilooper. This guy can still get looped but prevents survivors from actually doing anything when it comes to windows and pallets. So you just run around and pray that they miss their shots.
0 -
Is said skilled killer better than the survivor in question at mindgaming at loops and prediction?
0 -
Huntress already has a tremendous slowdown when she raises a hatchet AND a warning cue/ time to dodge her attack. That’s what makes her balanced compared to deathslinger and pyramid head.
1 -
Because otherwise no one would want to play survivor. I’m not saying you should be Able to loop a skilled killer for 5 gens but it should all come down to who plays better in each chase not who has the strongest loop/killer power, the reason why as well as against deathslinger and pyramid head I’m also strongly against infinite’s and god pallets(excluding shack which I think is the only god pallet there should be on each map)
3 -
You know what happens? Huntress range is extremely high while pyramid doesnt but if you want we can make huntress hatchet preparation faster! For me its slow as hell without add ons
1 -
I'd be happy just to see him again. I've versed Nurse more than Pyramid Head on Xbox, and he was a great Killer to face for me.
I mean, yes the Nurse is more common in Silent Hill than Red Pyramid Thing, but that doesn't mean that has to translate to DBD!
1 -
rank 1 killer tho, also playing survivors xd but still pyramid heads power or at least his insta right click to bait should be nerfed.
0 -
Yes lets make it so its in the survivors control, this would kill him. Like i said He is an anti-loop killer if you find that boring then thats a personel issue not the games
2 -
Give me a reason why a skilled survivor shouldn't have a chance to win the 1v1.
0 -
PH does not need a nerf.
0 -
stop a loop early and position yourself in a spot where you can barely drop the pallet but also dodge the range attack by going to the pallet or its side. now do the following:
If PH goes into rites than wait at the pallet. If he tries to hit you with range dodge it, if he goes into stun range stun him since he can't move backwards in rites. if you dodge the range attack you can run another loop or go to a different one.
If PH fakes going into rites or exits it just drop the pallet, watch his hands and unless the connection screws you will stun him or at least get the pallet between you.
of course there will be spots in loops you can get hit on but that will happen with an ability that goes through walls and some loops wont have pallets with enough space to do this on one or both sides(usually only one). However this strat works pretty well at wasting time.
1 -
I've seen PH never use the power once and Zooey for zoning it would not kill the power onl ybn make it more skill based.
0 -
because this game is balanced around the fact that the killer will eventually get you, thats why you can get hooked 3 times.
if a survivor always had a reliable chance to win a 1v1 in high level play this game would go to hell, sure a survivor can waste a ton of pallets and such but they should be catch-able otherwise how is the killer supposed to win.
edit: actually if your playing a bad killer like trapper against a good swf your more than likely going to lose unless something lucky happens so for some killers its already hell at high level play.

- Fake a vault or pallet drop.
- Run into PH while he is using power. Forces switch to M1. Hard to hit when a survivor is inside of your body and you can't see them properly because of FOV.
- Always run in straight lines to bait ranged attack, then dodge it's easy. Zig zagging like most people do just allows PH to catch up and M1.
- Run dead hard.
- Run sprint burst.
I am sure there are more, but these are some off of the top of my head.
2 -
Because the killer is the power role. Assuming both sides are of equal skill, the odds should ALWAYS favor the killer, simply because there are 4 survivors
5 -
I definitely agree with you. The fact that he can bait out so easily with 0 cool down is stupid him and deathslinger are the exact same. They can instantly go in and out of their power with no cooldown UNLESS they actually USE their power. But the sad thing is Deathslinger and Pyramid Head can use this to zone which means you can’t vault because you get hit and if you fake the vault or juke you’ll still get hit because of the 0 cool down.
0 -
Its only reliable if the survivors are good. Most survivors suck anyways that's why the game becomes easy when you become good.
0 -
1. A good PH will wait for the animation lock
2. Sure running into them works but a good killer pc or console can track you then m1.
3 and 4. Saying x perk isnt valid counterplay no go off.
