So Aftercare...
I just noticed, Aftercare is the only aura perk that shows aura of survivors in the killer's grasp. It makes it quite unique.
But I would like to know why only this specific perk? (ik old bond or empathy could show auras but got changed)

You are wrong. Better together also shows auras in killers grasp so aftercare is not unique in that. Funny watching them flail around though.

In my opinion this perk should last the entire match, not reset once you are hooked. That downside makes it a weaker version of other perks and honestly for no real reason.

It does? I been using it recently and haven't be able to see the aura of it.

I think that downside is good there ngl. Having unlimited aura reading of everyone is quite broken.
(Even do that's what comms do but still)

Yeah, because all of the preparation gets removed when you are hooked, Aftercare cannot really be a solid alternative to Bond.
I made an idea a few months ago:
When hooked you lose the Aura Read to the Survivor who is furthest away. And for the Tiers: Tier 1, lost Aura Read to all 3 Survivors, Tier 2 lost Aura Read to the 2 furthest Survivors, Tier 3 lost Aura Read to the furthest Survivor.
This would mean that the effect is not gone after getting hooked, but since it is the furthest Survivor, you would not gain it instantly back.

Bond does not show the auras of carried survivors.
Only Aftercare, Better Together, and Blood Pact do.

No, it’s a very fair downside. Being able to see the other 3 survivors at all times at any range, plus they’re all able to see you is very powerful, and allows for some significant increase in coordination and assistance

What you seem to forget is you have to work for that aura reading where as the other perks that let you see teammate auras are just given to you.

Or I could just run Empathy and see everyone who is injured with an unlimited range and no work required on my part.

And the moment they’re healed you lose that information.
Aftercare only loses information upon hooking the Aftercare user

Think of Aftercare as the survivor equivalent of Devour Hope.
It has to be worked for in order for it to grow in power, but that power can be removed (or in Aftercare’s case needs to be rebuilt)
