Why was hit validation removed?
What was wrong with hit validation? I saw nothing but good, as both survivor and killer, when it was enabled it was the best the game had felt in 2 years if not 3, since its been gone this last week the game has legit felt like garbage, again, hit validation was the BEST thing you have done for this game in years and you took it away after like 2 damn days.........the tick rate update has done nothing, it hasn't helped at all, just bring back hit validation, for the love of god. The game simply isn't enjoyable anymore without it.

It was a test, not the official thing. After some feedback, they removed it for adjustments, so they can release it confidently.

It made Huntress' hatchets impossible to hit in close range no matter how good connection was.

There were bugs with Deathslinger, Huntress, Nurse, and hitting through windows mid-animation. The beta was disabled to fix these issues and shall be re-enabled later.

yeah it was always meant to be a beta, they are making adjustments and it will come back.
short ranged attacks were not working as intended, additionally to the already mentioned, Plague suffered greatly from this I think

Never saw these issues, i only played against one huntress (most op killer without hit validation btw, since she shits even though she missed by 3 meters, ridiculously bad), the one huntress i played i was relieved to see her clear misses actually miss for once, and hatchets that should have hit actually hit, although i only played 1 game and only got hit once because when the connection is good, like it was with hit validation, shes one of the easiest killers to go against and its near impossible to be hit by her, same deal with deathslinger, nurse was the exact same as she had always been. I also played huntress for 3 hours while hit validation was up, never had an issue hitting hatchets up close, i also never had BS hatchets hit, so i didn't need to let survivors wriggle off for an unfair hit. For me, hit validation was nothing but good and there was no issues.

Well clearly people were having issues with it (there's quite a few videos, actually), enough for it to be disabled.
As someone who was learning nurse at the time, let me tell you, you had to basically be making out with them to get a hit.

lmao thats been an issue since the dedi's, its the reason i stopped playing nurse, it wasn't hit validation at all, it was just nurse being silently broken by dedi update. You legit had to be touching people like body to body to hit 95% of the time, and im an experienced nurse so its not like i just dont know what im doing.

Well I didn't have to be, then in comes validation and you have to be, then it goes and suddenly you don't have to be again. One hell of a coincidence

and yet for me, it was like that and has been like that ever since the dedi's were added, even showed multiple videos on the reddit. Never got fixed.

Because it was either A. just a test and they wanna fix more stuff first with it or B. Like every other thing in this game the implementation was an absolute dumpster fire of change.
The hatchets for me turned into the size of pallets for some reason, i would be able to hit survivor even though they were more than two meters away from the hatchets but the hatchet would magically lock on to them.

thats exactly what this game is like WITHOUT hit validation, tahts why i usually instantly DC against huntress and Death Slinger, they both miss you by a few meters and still get a hit, even though you dodged it perfectly, hit validation resolved that, and now im back to DC'ing every time i face one, its just insanely unfair and unfun. Huntress is deadass the most OP killer without hit validation, doesnt even need to hit you to get a hit.
