I think this is what killers mean by gen rush

The problem in this case is the killer.
Myers is a weak killer who lacks pressure. He needs a buff.

Idk man those gens went by in less than 5 minutes so I don't think it's the killer

You took two minutes to hit someone and then spent 30 seconds draining your power running away from the entire team to go pop a gen. What did you think was gonna happen while you ignored everyone?
9 -
Ignored everyone? I hooked them and saw no one on BBQ( survivors had perks against it) so I thought they were nearby

You were literally 5 meters from a survivor at 2:15

i feel like the gens going by in under 5 minutes isn't totally the killers fault no matter how you cut that.

You mean the survivor that had distance on me and had time to run to a pallet? Yeah I ignored him because there was someone on an unsafe gen who I downed and hooked. If I left him alone they would've popped that gen anyway. There wasn't much one decision could have done besides having another person on the hook

And even at the start it was the same situation, survivor had distance and another was on a gen

I have to agree with Scott here. Those survivors completed 2 gens right in your in your face while you were in EW3, but then you ran AWAY from them to go pop the upstairs gen. So you lost your EW3, but then you lost the gen anyways stalking the survivor who completed it right in your face. Later on in the match you popped EW3 and then spent the first 45 seconds of it standing on top of a slug waiting out her DS. I'm not going to say that you played terribly; you didn't. But you also made some bad decisions regarding time management that cost you dearly.
Sad to say, but gens can be completed in under 5 min if you don't keep pressuring survivors off them. Those survivors did a great job splitting up and slamming out gens (give them some credit), and you just didn't do enough to pull them away. I'd have to say that you need some perks to make up for Myers' early-game weakness. Corrupt Intervention is the go-to if you have it, but I prefer Discordance. Also, you might want to try Infectious Fright to get the most efficient use out of your power. I know every Myers seems to be using it these days, but, well, there's a reason for that.

My main thing is this, I had bbq, I did in fact ignore the person who popped the en because there was someone on the gen upstairs. Could I have played it better? Sure. Doesn't disprove my point on how fast gens can fly.

i know this is a bit of a meme at this point.... but you didnt apply any pressure.
you knew where the survivors were, seeing as there was one literally right in front of you at 2:15, and the fact that 2 gens popped, giving you the location of the survivors.
BBQ not showing auras is kinda irrelevant. you already knew where they were.
also, while i know there werent too many chances to get an M1 while in T2 in this video, you still should be trying to do that, seeing as you have sloppy.
also, seeing as you have M&M and dead rabbit, i would suggest that you try using infection fright if you have it. Thats a really huge TR if you down someone in T3, slugging in T3 is pretty scary for survivors especially if you can have 1 downed, and start chasing another survivor. another survivor is forced to come off gens and slow the game down.
take my advice/opinions with a grain of salt, im not some mlg pro gamer, and i dont play too much killer either. my advice comes from what ive seen as a survivor main.
best of luck in your next games btw.
this is the amount of pressure you should aim for:

In my experience the two upstairs gens in Hawkins are just not worth defending (most of the time). Giving them up sucks, but it also dramatically decreases the size of the map that you need to patrol. That's just my opinion though.
Oh, I should also note that you can totally stalk survivors through the glass. It seemed like you tried it and gave up, but it is very much a thing that you can do.

..so the alternative was to chase no one and go kick a gen 20 seconds away? Its Hawkins, everyone can always run to a pallet. The pallets all suck.

Considering there was someone right behind me to continue working on that gen after I popped it? Yeah. Anyway that wasn't the point. It's to show how quickly gens can fly

Plus this was my first match that ended that quickly. Usually my matches are at least 10 minutes. So that was the point. Hence the title. This wasn't a critique but I thank yall for your input.

Of course Gens get done quickly when you dont apply pressure. Like, you stalked a person on the Gen in the Portal Room two times and let them get free Gen Progress. You got your EW3 in return both times, but was it really worth it?
Also, PGTW is a great Perk, but you will have more Map Pressure if you go for another Chase over using PGTW. If you would have gone for that person you saw after you hooked your first Survivor, you would have 1 Survivor on the hook, 1 Survivor on a Chase (and a potential Down, Hawkins-Pallets are terrible) and 1 Survivor going for the rescue. This is 3 Survivors not on Gens. If you would have gotten your Down and Hook before they got the Unhook, even better.
Also, especially regarding Hawkins - I personally ignore the Gen in the Portal Room and the Gen upstairs. Those are on the "far end" of the Map, when it comes to walking and really uncomfortable to get there, you spend a lot of time going through areas where you will most likely not see any Survivor (at least when going upstairs).
Also, regarding Myers - as already said, try Corrupt Intervention. It is a great Perk in general, but especially good on Setup Killers. I am using it on Myers since it came out, because it helps to close the Distance of the Survivors to me (they move towards me, away from the blocked Gens), which means I get rid of Tier 1 faster.
