I like coldwind maps expect fractured cowshed that one is very unbalanced imo. Every other map I can agree that need slight fixes or huge reworks (maybe even rottenfields but I am a biased huntress main and that map is very open and lack obstacles to block my hatches)

Rotten Fields is just straight up boring though. Nothing at ALL in the middle besides shack, survivors always just cower in the corn then sneak to a gen, the map itself counters Blight, survivors probably just get bored doing nothing but hugging the sides, the killer doesn't wanna deal with the entire midsection being a complete vision wall, Rotten Fields is just plain annoying and boring for both sides besides Ranged Killers

Sure, remove maps. Let's all swim in the Void of the Entity. We no need ground or obstacles. 🥴

Yeah I guess they could cut away a large portion of the corn and replace it with some basic pallet tiles etc but still have it remain as a open map that lack obstacles.... ######### obstacles

We don't need 7 versions of the same map. While they're at it they should remove some killers too. Having both Hillbilly and Leather face is pointless. They're the same killer pretty much. once they got the licence for Leather face they should have dropped the billy hands down.
we could use more then one theme based map for some of them. I'd love to see a Silent Hill map, not just the school. or an Elm Street map that isn't the preschool. I understand that it would be similar to the Halloween map but It would be interesting to see. and there is so much that could be done with a Silent Hill map. broken roads iconic buildings. the original foggy location.

Removing stuff is quite an extreme way to balance... I'd say removing content is never a good thing actually.
Wouldn't it be better to rebalance and improve what we have instead of basically wasting weeks of devs work?
Also wouldn't removing variety increase the boring factor?
I don't know, just some food for thought. 🙂

Can atleast remove Badham until totem is fixed? Getting hex totem in uncleansible spot is pretty rough.
1 -
You guys are using the wrong word here, you are looking to "disable" the maps, not remove. Unless you quite literally mean ditch the maps and never come back to them.
1 -
Wasnt this in midwich?
0 -
It's the reworked Springwood Badham Preschool maps. Whatever they did in the rework caused totem spots that can't be reached. I had it on 5, I've seen others complain about spots in 2 and 3 of the map. If it happened in Midwich during this patch too I haven't seen complaints about that one.

The fact you decided to not remove yamaoka disappoints me

And what? If they remove maps, the game doesn't exist.
0 -
Ah yes let's all fall together in harmony
0 -
Then how are we going to play
0 -
yes. Gens n hooks have to go, too.
...and weapons.. it’s imperative the weapons an abilities also be removed.
Add a disco ball, let Trapper DJ and make it a big DBD dance party, already!

Haddonfield and Midwich are hot garbage
Ormond with changes could be okay
1 -
I'm glad the dc penalty is gone, so I never have to play on Haddonfield or Midwich ever again.
2 -
the Dc penalty isn't gone. you still go down one rank. even if it's unintentional. happened to me the other day
0 -
I don't care about rank, it doesn't matter.
0 -
I know it doesn't, tell that to some players on both sides. I do think there should be a Dc penalty personally
1 -
Yeah, took them awhile to fix that one.
0 -
Then i was wrong. I was sure it was in midwich but it didnt happened to me anyway so far. Luckily.

This is like saying, delete all the parts of a game because I dont like them, selfish much?Maps needs to be reworked and tweaked, not deleted.
0 -
I don't agree with removing maps. Rework them, as they already are doing.
1 -
Remove them all.

Bring a Macmillan offering.

They need more maps, not less. This game become so boring when the algorithm isn't random enough. We end up just selecting maps because getting the same map over and over again is super annoying.
1 -
You forgot to mention the swamp maps and the silent hill map as well as freddy map! They all shall disappear.
0 -
"Cower in the corn" you mean they hide effectively from you and you didnt have any of the 1000 diff anti stealth perks/powers available to you?
I personally like rotten fields as killer and surv. They even made it easier for killers being smaller n all now.

Saw map no it good but ormond yes

Remove the game, pretty trash and buggy game imo lol kind of joking and not at the same time.
I hate that i like ######### games like this.

Turn DbD into the fall guys loading screen

i don't like maps either. I much prefer sitting in the lobby with other survivors, enjoying the warming glow of the fire and just shooting the breeze.
Games are way more chill that way.

remove dbd

Shocked you never said haddonfield lol
Temple of Purgation is actually very good for killer if you guard a 3/4 gen. Once you get rid of the pallets in those areas it's pretty easy to win.
Also the Game is pretty good for killer and survivor honestly. Now that the meta of Ruin and Hex: Undying is here the Game map is even stronger because of the totem placements.

I think the game map is pretty survivor sided, if survivors know how to run it. Size does not mean the map is killer/survivor sided (besides mothers dwelling, that map is too big). The amount of safe pallets on the game map is pretty crazy and reminds me of old blood lodge.
0 -
Mothers Dwelling is definitely too big. Though if you get a pc Nurse main with double range Monitor and BBQ it doesn't even make that much of a difference lol
If ran correctly the map can be survivor favoured however with Ruin and Undying if you can apply pressure it's killer favoured. Totems were always awkward to find on this map and now with this meta Ruin should last most of the game. Also I think the Game map quite easy for creating really good 3/4 gens.
The thing about old Blood Lodge was that you could see the killer coming from a mile away so you could always make it to a tile early. The Game is extremely good at giving you free hits due to the walls.

I always kind of thought the farm map should have crop circles, or paths in the field, the paths are open and easy to see through, and lead to filler pallets, obstacles, and jungle gyms, and the corn to the side is a lot thicker and heavier, at least along the immediate edges of the corn.
I never liked how that map was one big dead zone in the center, with the killer shack right dab in the middle, that's why survivors cower in the corner, the shack is in the middle of a dead zone.

It depends, having too much of something good may be bad in the end, Valve made an study when they were making Team Fortress 2 and they found 10% of maps are played 90% of times (or numbers very close to those) when people have the choice so they went for very few maps but very well done at launch (I think TF2 launched with 5 maps total, 2Fort, Dustbowl, Well, Granary and Hydro).
Also lets be honest, the latests map aditions have not been received extremely well, Midwich, Dead Dawg, Hawkins and Ormond have been criticized a lot, Midwich being universally panned by the comunity. Sanctum of Wrath and Temple of Purgation were ok.
