Why don't more survivors use unbreakable ?

Options

Its the least used out of the meta perks but its so good. That faster recovery plus getting up once from the dying state. It can instantly ruin a killers snowball. I don't get why more survivors don't use it. Instead I see so many survivors use DS and rage when they don't get picked up in 60 seconds. 😂

I feel that but so are Adrenaline and DS and I see those used all the time. 🤔

It's a very underated perk, it's strong against the best killers in the game because they will almost always slug if given the opportunity, one perk can erase mistakes and reset the whole squad

UB relies on the Killer having a reason not to pick you up for a few seconds. If you have a team that is okay with swarming the Killer, it can be very useful, but it's not a guarantee that they won't come over and pick you up. On top of that, you can swap it out for Perks that will see more use more often. UB is simply not always useful. When it DOES work, it tends to come in clutch, but often, you simply won't see it. Compare that to other Perks where you tend to get more use out of them, or can force them to help you in situations, and you will see that UB can be very comfortably replaced.

That said, if you are running a full meta build to punish the Killer for playing Killer, then ya, you want UB to benefit the DS (or, more accurately, the fear of DS).

If you want to meme (read: YOU SHOULD ALWAYS WANT TO MEME), you can run UB and No Mither and get up mere seconds after getting downed, which will initially make the Killer think someone else is picking you up and lose their mind following you around, trying to identify your shadow helper. That said, you're playing the game on hard mode at that point, so don't get too angry if you die a lot.

Most killers very rarely leave someone slugged who has no mither since they know you can get up all the time. Soul Guard is so much better even if it requires a hex.

Ya, and there are builds that work around fitting SG into the normal Second Chance meta.

It really just depends on what you plan on doing in the game. If you suspect you will get a lot of attention, run UB alongside the rest of the Second Chance meta and let the good times troll. If not, UB quickly becomes one of the easiest to replace.

    DS is situational?

    lmao.

Anyway. I don;t run unbreakable because I am rarely ever left on the ground long enough to make us of it. If I had it. Which I don't. Yet.

Too situational. It can have a huge impact, but whenever I used it (most of the time when I dont have my regular Perk Build on a Character), I rarely get it to use.

Yes it is, you must get downed within 60 seconds as well as grabbed by the killer. If your good and not aggressive or tunneled you shouldn't be going down that quick.

What do you mean all I ever see is the small pp combo of ds+unbreakable most games 😂

I personally tend to run it but for the longest time I didn't really like it.

And I get it. It's similar to why quite a few people don't like running stuff like Adrenaline, Deliverance, NOED and all the perks that require some other specific condition - a lot of people prefer perks that they'll get use out of in every match or at the very least the vast majority of matches. I used to be like this, I used to really dislike situational and "specialist" perks.

For anyone wondering why unbreakable isn't used more often I propose the following challenge. Play 20 games with unbreakable. Then keep track of how many of those games you were actually able to use unbreakable. I would bet money that it would be under 1 in 4 games. A perk that has no value in 75% or more games isn't a great perk. With that said, there are those very rare games where the entire survivor team gets slugged and the one survivor with unbreakable pulls off a miracle team rescue. In that specific game unbreakable is the greatest perk in existence. Those are pretty epic moments that would never happen if someone on your team didn't run it. But I have a hard justifying its use personally. But I wholeheartedly endorse other players using it =p

It's rare to see people using UB alone..

If it's DS + UB, that's another story.. i see them in almost every matches

I don't use it because 99% of the time I don't get slugged. It's a waste of a slot for me to run a perk to counter something that almost never happens.

I don't use Unbreakable because I like to run other perks that aren't meta.

I don't run unbreakable because 95% of the time I'm never slugged, slugging does sometimes work but not always because unless the killer has third seal or knockout you pretty much are going to be picked up by a teammate a least a few times a game

Kind of a weird phenomenon that people constantly complain about slugging all the time and how annoying it is, yet simultaneously say they don't run Unbreakable because they hardly ever get it to activate.

So is it happening all the time or is not happening all the time?

There's some irony here I know it.

because on solo queue everybody expect somebody else having unbreakable because they don't want to sacrifice a slot for a perk that will be used in 1% of the matches

People don't want to give up DS for UB, and don't want to run both together since it's considered too sweaty.

Murphy’s Law with it’s addition tends to be how Unbreakable works:

If it can go wrong, it will go wrong at the worst time.

If you take Unbreakable, you won’t get slugged. If you don’t take it, Murphy’s Law will kick in and you’ll get slugged.

Then you’ll take it and it’ll be a wasted perk spot.

I tried running it but I was never left on the ground long enough to make use of it, so I removed it from my kit. It was wasted space. Iron Will has helped me far far more.

Its insane. I've lost more games to unbreakable than I ever have DS or adrenaline.
