Title.

This is not a slugging is bad thread. It goes against no dev rules. Im just bored at work :p

Me personally, id rather just finish the match and start another. As the 3rd is being sacrificed, if i find the hatch first Im closing it.

This is kind of rare for me. My games are usually a LOT of hooks spread out over the match. Very rarely do I have to slug. I have nothing against it and do it when I must, but it just doesn't come up that often. But then again, if I'm at the end and they out played me... I often let them go.

    Only under two circumstances:

    1 - I'm going for a 4K challenge.

    or

2 - The last guy has OoO or a Styptic or was particularly toxic

Usually I dont slug for the 4K, I get my pip with a 3K and Hatch Escape and I also see this as an absolute win, since I would have gotten a 4K if I would have slugged.

I slug when the remaining Survivor showed really bad behavior, like being "toxic" towards me or their teammates OR when I see them when I down the third guy.

If I dont see them or dont want to kill them, I am happy with the 3K if I dont find the Hatch first.

And well, Challenges. Like Hatch closing, hooking in EGC, 4Ks... stuff like that.

Rarely. The only time I'll slug for the 4k is if I see the last survivor when I down the second-to-last survivor. If two guys are already dead, I down a guy on death hook, and the last guy is nowhere to be found, I'll almost always hook the guy I just downed. Maybe I find the last dude with BBQ, but at the very least I keep the game moving.

I guess a 4k just isn't that important to me as killer. That's also why keys don't bother me as much as many other people on the forum.

Never unless the last guy was obnoxious

Generally never. Its such a boring way to play. The only times I'll consider doing it if it was a toxic team, or the last guy standing was toxic. I try to make sure toxic players do not live to tell the tale.

Extremely rare. I have to pretty much be standing next to the 4th person and even then I usually don't care. If I do, it's because I just want the game to be over. I have 2100 hrs and most of them are on killer. A 4k in a pub match isn't a special occassion for me. I think slugging for a 4k is ridiculously boring and I'll go so far out of my way as a survivor (within the rules) to see that it isn't rewarded. I'll locker hop in the basement until the teammate bleeds out if I have to.

If I see the 4th survivor as I'm downing the 3rd survivor.

That's pretty much it. If they get the hatch they get the hatch, I'm back in queue for another game sooner and that's fine with me.

I sometimes do it if I'm trying to get the most bloodpoints out of it, or like others have said, if some people are being toxic, like t-bagging, flashlight clicking, and such. Otherwise I usually just kill the 3rd guy, look for the hatch, and if I don't get to it first, oh well. Unless I find the last 2 people together, I will try to down one of them and then go for the other immediately since I don't need to try and look for the 3rd person.

I only do it when I don't think that squad deserves hatch, but thats very, very rare.

Usually, i don´t. Mainly, because i dont want spend the time searching for the last one. I hook the last guy, and then race the last for the hatch. Often i win, sometimes i don´t. But a 3k is a win just like a 4k to me, and the end phase after the slugging is really boring to me.

I only slug for the 4k if I don't have all of my bbq stacks. There is no price too great for bloodpoints.

I hardly ever bother slugging for the four kill, basically I’ll glance around for a few seconds after I down the third survivor to see if I can spot where the fourth one is quickly and if I don’t then I just hook and look for the hatch. I really can’t be bothered spending all that extra time trying to slug for four, it’s super boring at that point.

I only do it if I have no idea where hatch is.

If the last Survivor is pretty close and I know where they are, sure. If not, I don't care. If they were being really try-hardy, though, I might be more open to slugging, so they maybe learn that the harder they try, the harder the Killer might try.

I'm a point #########. Pretty much if I can get more points then I'll do it. So after reading that I'm going to do propose the question to anyone reading this.

Do I slug for the 4k?

    You mean more potential Bloodpoints.

Only for achievements or archive challenges. Slugging for the 4k is a waste of time

Very rarely. Only if see the other survivor or if I play around DS.

I only slug out for the 4k if I saw the last survivor after downing the third or if the group was particularly toxic.

Tbh more then I’d like to but thanks to a garbage pip system that a lot of times won’t give me even a single pip unless I kill them all I have to if I want to rank up

  • Mister_xD
    Mister_xD Member Posts: 7,669

only when i have a good idea of where the last survivor is.

for example, if they revealed themselves to me by repairing a gen, i leave the downed person to check on it. if there are scratches around, ill leave the slug to check them out, etc.

however, i wont slug just to have a chance at maybe comming across the last guy. thats stupid, drags out the game by a lot and just unfun for everyone involved.

    Very rarely.

I usually do it only if the survivors have been BMing, like Tbagging or using OoO or sending me to Ormond. Sending a killer to Ormond is a declaration of war, and I'll come prepared to fight.

Sometimes when the last two survivors are right next to each other I'll down one and chase the other. Is that slugging for the 4k? I guess it is. On the other hand, if my matches go chill I'll usually carry the last survivor to the hatch. Is there a category for "slugging for the hatch"?

I only slug for the 4k when i know where the last survivor is.

Otherwise i just want the game to end as fast as possible because its pretty much game over.

Only if I know where they are when I down the second to last survivor. After that its the hatch hunt and whoever wins wins.

  • EvilJoshy
    EvilJoshy Member Posts: 5,295

Now the consensus seems to be "I only slug if I know where the 4th is. Otherwise just hook and hunt for hatch"

Yet like many many other topics. What I hear on the forums doesn't quite match what I experience in game. If the killer is winning and downs the 3rd survivor it seems I ALWAYS get killers who slug for that 4k. Then again I guess it's because I tend to play in a swf and at least one of them knows how to loop really well. The killer is probably salty after that.

I do it if I have a way to easily find the last survivor. If I have whispers I will probably try to triangulate the last guy. If I am doctor with restraint whispers and undying I will slug because I can shock the last guy to make him unable to heal the slug, thus guaranteeing 4k unless unbreakable. whispers restraint also lets you find slugs so..

If I am hag or pyramid or spirit I will also try to mind game or trap the route to raise the slug. Few survs will let their friend bleed out even if it is a trap
