How does survivor deal with leatherface?
Every time I go up against him I can't out run him or get away from his one hit chainsaw so any real tips of how to deal with him? (and I'm talking about real tips and not just "Just get good kid" tips)

Lead him into areas of dense obstacles (if you can) if he's revving his chainsaw. If that thing hits a wall, he goes into a tantrum and you can run. Otherwise, don't give him a clear shot at you,

Windows, lockers

Windows are his kryptonite. He'll only be able to get around using his chainsaw with chilli add ons and even then you can just vault back.

Windows are ideal. If you're at a loop with a pallet drop the pallet early; his chainsaw has a lot more range than people think it does.
And for the love of all that is holy do NOT try to stealth him. If you get caught crouching in a corner or hiding behind a tree it's instant death.

Lockers arent safe vs a bubba. He can always go into tantrum in front of locker and you'll never get out alive

start running if you see him from three miles away. Pull down pallets early if you think the forever chainsaw isn't stopping for another loop. Yeah pallets will be wasted. A lot of my games against a leatherface isn't good. They're also usually the ones to camp so he can tornado chainsaw who tries to unhook.
So basically run early.

Yeah, I know this advice is going to sound so simplistic and obvious that it is borderline insulting, but just don't get caught in the open. The same is true of Blight and the Hill Billy. The good thing about the chainsaw crew is they tend to Rev and you know what you are up against early. Against them I tend to hug the terrain and only cross open areas with extreme trepidation.

This. People have tried this on me a lot. If you tap open the second in ends you can grab them before it even looks like you've ended your tantrum. its a death sentence.

Small loops work better on him, if you do long loops he'll get you before you get to the pallet, bubbas usually start reving next to pallet cause they think you're gonna drop it (like huntress winding up axes) for them to break with the chainsaw, don't drop it, keep running, use this until he notices you ain't gonna drop it, then do. Here's a vid about it I made to help another post like this. this is me vs a rank 1 bubba in the game map.
BTW, yes, he was tunneling me off hook cause of how many times I looped him like this.

bring a lery's offering. or hawkins.

It is possible to correctly time exiting the locker as the last swing of the Tantrum does not have a hitbox. I've done it before.
If you have Head On it's even easier as the minute he finishes his animation you can just Head On stun him.

Go to a short or long wall jungle gym and hard greed the pallet.
There's nothing he can do other than M1 you unless you make a really bad play. Take the M1 for distance.

you can leave safely after/during last swing when bubba is still locked in animation for another second. Shame on you for not knowing it.

dont greed to hard on a pallet, predrop see if he try to mindgame or break if he breaks it hold W to a window or another pallet

Chain tiles, his biggest weakness no matter the perks he decides to use.

just time your pallet uses to stun him out of his chainsaw

Windows and Cluttered areas.
Play the windows to your advantage and force him to M1 you instead of chainsaw. If he starts chainsawing, lead him through cluttered areas and sharp turns so that he'll bump into #########.

I haven't played too much lately but I've yet to run into a bubba since his rework. I'm kinda glad. Majority of bubbas I faced pre rework were face campers. I also tend to run dead hard and those bubbas NEVER M1. It's like they don't know how to hit you with anything but the chainsaw.

I feel like this is why people hate killers like Bubba, Wraith, and Freddy. They're easy to exploit by weaker/newer players who are desperate to get kills, but there's ways of playing them that are legit and fun for everyone. My Bubba gets 10-12 hooks most matches without camping/tunneling/slugging.
...and yet I still black pip, because the emblem system hates insta-down killers.

I sometimes get that with my trapper. When I hook someone in the basement and trap the place up. If I get potatoe survivors that rush the hook and step in my traps. My chaser is non-existent because they all came to me and got caught before a chase could begin.

Core gameplay mechanics.

I don't think you can. If you spam M1 while you're in tantrum, bubba will instantly grab you and it's technically impossible to get out of that situation. Especially when the survivor can't tell how long he'll be in tantrum

Playing windows is your only real option without holding W. And, of course, one of the most popular perks on Bubba is Bamboozle, so just hold W and pre-throw every pallet while your team does gens.

You can, I've done it a handful of times. If you wait until the tantrum animation ends then yes, he will grab you. But if you exit during the last swing it wont kill you and he'll still be locked in animation. The timing is difficult but it's possible.

Don't get into a chase with him is the option I tend to go for, but running next to cover and windows is also good.
Yeah, so this is the main issue I have with Bubba, as well as a large portion of Hillbilly players. Kinda takes the fun out of the chase.

You have to practice the exact locker timing, so he can't get the grab nor the chainsaw on you, this will take a lot of time. Windows are his main weakness as well, because he can't really do much about them.

Basically loop and put down the pallet when he's next to you with chainsaw.

Lockers are bad, Windows are good. Run around tight obstacles and hope he makes a mistake so you can get away.
